I could spend hours upon hours just zoning out looking at jewelry store window displays, marveling at the beauty, craftsmanship, & sparkle of earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings, brooches, & more. When the stars hit the red carpet, the wonder & excitement just amplifies, especially considering the legendary jewelry designers that are featured, along with elegant & dramatic gowns. I can’t help but think back to all of the mesmerizing emeralds that graced the red carpet in awards shows of the past, but I’m so glad there are more vibrant references to add! Here are some of my favorite jewelry moments from the red carpet:

I don’t know about you, but I haven’t stopped my standing ovation for Angela Bassett–not only for her history-making win for Best Supporting Actress in Any Motion Picture for her outstanding role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever at last night’s 80th Golden Globe Awards, but for her entire head-to-toe look. As soon as I saw her silver glistening Pamella Roland halter gown, I said, “That’s a winner’s dress,” & was right! Her Old Hollywood-inspired bob & gorgeous jewels made for a momentous night for both film & fashion, along with that of her stunning colleagues in the industry.
From shimmering cosmetics to fluffy lashes, sculpted hairstyles to flowing locks, & statement earrings to layered necklaces, the stars celebrated the night in the most stylish & sparkly way they know how. Some of my other favorites for the night included Margot Robbie, Lily James, Quinta Brunson, Jessica Chastain, Selena Gomez, & Sheryl Lee Ralph!

At last night’s 2022 MTV Europe Music Awards, Midnights mastermind Taylor Swift dominated not only the red carpet, but the stage, earning well-deserved accolades for Best Artist, Best Video, Best Pop & Best Longform Video for “All Too Well: The Short Film,” starring Sadie Sink & Dylan O’Brien. The “Lavender Haze” singer donned 2 different dresses from David Koma, including a bodysuit & jeweled overlay (shop similar here), paired with sleek black slingback heels by Giuseppe Zanotti (shop here); when accepting her awards, Taylor strutted in a sparkling minidress (shop here) with silver platforms (shop similar here). These are by far her most glittery style choices yet, continuing her Midnights-era glam. Additionally, Taylor accessorizes with a mix of hoop, stud, & crawler earrings, along with various blinged-out rings, all of which offset her black & green cat-eye + curtain bang & tight bun beauty choices.
For a little more of what Taylor is serving up this season, here are her latest music videos for “Anti-Hero” & “Bejeweled”:
Not only is Not Okay star Zoey Deutch a natural comedic actress, but she’s also Hollywood royalty, as daughter of Back to the Future leading lady Lea Thompson, & Zoey commands the red carpet in her head-to-toe monochromatic style, bold suit ensembles, lacy little black dresses, elegant vintage looks, metallic minis, & love for bold prints! She can wear anything! I’ll be honest, I never paid much attention to Zoey’s public appearances, but upon learning of her 28th birthday today & setting out on a mission for a post today, I stand corrected! As a blonde, brunette, or redhead, Zoey is a style chameleon, exuding confidence, grace, & joy in every look. Her modern minimalism rivals her penchant for traditional Hollywood glam—I can’t decide which is better. Take a look through the color-coordinated gallery below to see all the reasons why Zoey’s style is worth celebrating!

Thursday night’s star-studded red carpet for the London premiere of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever inspired the most stylish & sleek gowns from the film’s leading ladies, including Lupita Nyong’o in Alexander McQueen, Danai Gurira in Elie Saab Haute Couture, & Letitia Wright in Prada. Also, the gorgeousness didn’t stop there with Oscar-nominated actress Cynthia Erivo in a bold yellow Erdem look, Michaela Cole in a lace Riccardo Tisci dress, Florence Kasumba‘s colorful halter gown, & model Jourdan Dunn in a Standing Ground Spring 2023 design. Oscar-winner & A-lister Jennifer Lawrence celebrates her 32nd birthday today. The actress, & new mom, is a style star on the red carpet, for sure, but the success of her fashion choices is, in part, to her bombshell & edgy hair styles, as well as her gorgeous & flawless beauty looks at a variety of occasions, including major awards shows, film premieres, film festivals, & photo calls. The Kentucky native’s look has changed since her big break in 2010’s Winter’s Bone, especially with long dirty blonde locks, a more dramatic darker mane (like in Silver Lining’s Playbook & The Hunger Games), as well as a layered blonde bob. Additionally, the Mother! actress typically opts for a smoky eye, but often plays up her lips in a dark berry, bright red, or candy pink tone.
Usually Style Darling Daily‘s Cover Craze posts categorize stylish stars on the cover of magazines, but a new images worthy of celebration include the companion art to Beyoncé‘s Renaissance album. The staggeringly stylish collection of images goes beyond Vogue or what any music video can do in setting the tone for the 28-time Grammy winner’s seventh studio album that was produced over the course of the last three years, including during the pandemic, featuring a mix of dance, pop, funk, & techno sounds to get listeners moving!
Not only are the album’s images inspired by Beyoncé’s mature & artistic side, but according to Insider, the three-act project “pays homage to queer ball culture” & “is indebted to her late Uncle Johnny, whom she described in 2019 as ‘the most fabulous gay man I’ve ever met,'” adding, “‘He was my godmother and the first person to expose me to a lot of the music and culture that serve as inspiration for this album.'”
What do you think of Beyoncé’s album & art? Have you been listening to “Break My Soul” on repeat? What’s your favorite song on the album?
If there’s any celebrity wardrobe, for their red carpet looks & street style, that I’d want to steal, it’s Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara’s…EVERYTHING! She’s confident, feminine, sultry, & glam ALL. THE. TIME.
In honor of her 50th birthday today, let’s take a walk down style memory lane for the fashion designer, America’s Got Talentjudge, & four-time Emmy-nominee’s best red carpet & street style appearances, celebrating her favorite go-to trends, including a mermaid gown, sweetheart or strapless neckline, peplum details, dramatic jewels, towering platforms, regal sparkles, cut-off denim, gorgeous day dresses, & effortless poise. Not to mention, her megawatt smile.
The news that actress Cameron Diaz is coming out of retirement to join Jamie Foxx in the new feature film, Back in Action, for the first time in eight years has me very nostalgic for the movie star style that inspired me to begin Style Darling Daily over a decade ago. If you haven’t seen My Best Friend’s Wedding, The Mask, There’s Something About Mary, Charlie’s Angels, any of the Shrek movies, or The Holiday, then you’re missing out on some 90s-00s film gold for the entertainment & charm that Cameron serves up on screen. Hence, why the blogosphere is in a tizzy over her highly-anticipated big screen return.
In addition the aforementioned films, the four-time Golden Globe-nominated star & best-selling author was once a red carpet regular, but an international superstar of the silver screen, not only wearing the chicest designers to events, like the Academy Awards, but also for her California-girl appeal, elevating mini dresses for glamorous movie premieres & other photo-worthy occasions. Check out the slideshow & gallery below for over 60 images that prove Cameron rules the red carpet & will continue to do so when she makes her return to Hollywood:

Zendaya could not get any more beautiful, yet here she is again, living it up in full-on glamour for the July 2022 issue of Vogue Italia, photographed by Elizaveta Porodina, wearing a couture jeweled Valentino minidress on the sultry cover with a statement Bulgari necklace & bold violet eyeshadow, which is very reminiscent of the beauty looks that characters on Euphoria wear. Am I right?
According to Vogue Italia‘s Instagram, Zendaya epitomizes the current generation of pioneering women, whom the actress credits black women of the past who have aided in her own success. The artistic images not only prove Zendaya’s influence on fashion, but also pop culture with her timeless style, refreshing intensity, & poised maturity. Vogue Italia shared Zendaya’s thoughtful reflections on her fame, “Sometimes I feel kind of silly being an actor, but then I remember the stories that I’m telling and the reasons behind them. Especially as of recent with Euphoria, I had so many people reach out and share their experiences of connecting with it, in the sense of loss or addiction or grief or mental illness and their struggles with that.”
More looks in the shoot were styled by Law Roach, featuring pieces from Del Core, Paco Rabanne, The Attico, Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini, & more Bulgari jewels. However, the multi-faceted performer doesn’t get fazed by the designer duds & sparkle, commenting, “For quite some time, I have been able to maintain a minimum of anonymity so that I can do the same things I used to do, living a fairly normal life,” adding about her fans that “they’re really understanding that I’m human, even the hardcore ones and they want me to be happy and I genuinely feel that from them.”
If you haven’t watched season 1 of Only Murders in the Building on Hulu, stop reading & go do it–all 10 episodes!
However, if you’re excited for season 2 to drop TODAY, just like I am, you’ll be extra psyched to see the show’s star, Selena Gomez, in all of her silver sparkly glory at the season 2 premiere in Los Angeles yesterday. With a cut-out & super high slit gown by Michael Kors, plus a beachy/glam ponytail, shimmering hoop earrings by Effy Jewelry (shop similar here), & makeup, no doubt, from her Rare Beauty collection, this is Selena’s best red carpet look EVER, IMO. She’s poised, polished, & perfectly glistening with such a modern take on a classic Hollywood aesthetic. The range that she displays on the red carpet, when performing on stage, & on the show as the sarcastic Mable Mora is admirable & evocative, cementing her status as a major player in the entertainment industry who is only just getting started (with over 100 acting credits to her name & 9 albums to her name)!
Have a look at Selena’s stunning red carpet appearance, which is just the beginning of what will be a fashionable press tour for the show & her upcoming Rare Beauty launches:
To catch up on what happened last season, watch the season 1 trailer (not a recap!) below:
If you haven’t already watched it on repeat, watch the hi-jinx about to ensue on the residents (& outcasts) of the Arconia building:
I can’t wait to laugh, cry, & wonder about how this new season will unfold, especially with celebrity guest stars, such as comedian Amy Schumer and Selena’s good friend / supermodel Cara Delevingne joining in on the fun.
Last night’s BET Awards honored the achievements of black musicians from the past year, but were not without fanfare & glamour on the red carpet, using the awards platform for both style statements and vital political messages. Some of the red carpet highlights include Lizzowearing a glittery navy Gucci gown, along with Taraji P. Reese Witherspoon never fails to deliver on the red carpet, with her street style, & for any press event she attends. I love her feminine & edgy style, often a chic blend of preppy meets glam girl. The Oscar-winning actress & Draper James founder recently made an appearance in The Hamptons while promoting her new film, Home Again, wearing a gorgeous black & metallic one-shoulder Isabel Marant dress (shop here) (from the designer’s Fall 2017 collection) with ruffled Christian Louboutin strappy sandals (shop here). The look is picture perfect, which is why I’m featuring it for my latest Darling of the Day post. The ensemble is a definite style win, but the cost of the dress & shoes alone will run you back by the thousands.
It was hard to achieve a near-identical look-alike outfit, but I loved the inspiration behind the trendy one-shoulder & ruffled ankle strap heels. In featuring pieces inspired by Reese’s look, it’s always my pleasure to share how to recreate something similar for shoppers of any size. I love a great print & a black & white color combination is classic for every woman!
While summer (for me) is all about a good dress & sandals, I’ve been thinking a whole lot about summer outfits that go beyond the comfy Americana look of a tank & cut-off shorts (an ensemble that never really suited my shape to begin with). However, in an effort to fill my brain with as much fashion as possible (an excellent escape plan for when life is throwing a lot of heartache your way), I’m a little obsessed with Gwyneth Paltrow‘s head-to-toe blush outfit in a blouse & pants by Michael Kors with Chloe Gosselin sandals (shop similar here). The actress & goop entrepreneur made a recent appearance to promote her organic Juice Beauty collection while in Toronto, looking effortless & chic in the pastel hue with minimal jewelry.
Usually when I dress in a monochromatic outfit, it’s all-black, easy enough for any shape to pull off since pastels aren’t always figure friendly for the curvier shopper. However, I’m impressed to see so many blush options out there, while keeping a budget in mind, for misses, plus, or petites separates to inspire Gwyneth’s look for when you’re at the office, headed to brunch with family, or a day time party event. Wearing blush as a base color also works for a multitude of accessories options, such as metallics like rose gold, gold, & silver. Also, blush is a luxe foundation for other colors & prints to pop against.
