Summer isn’t over yet, & nor are the hits! Recently, Spotify, YouTube, & airwaves everywhere have been clamoring with love for Selena Gomez’s new pop track “Single Soon,” Miley Cyrus’ reflective ballad “Used to be Young.” The songs are quite the opposites of each other in many ways as “Single Soon” looks forward to self-love & new future adventures & “Used to be Young” is more of an introspective conclusion of wild days of the past. No matter what—both are amazing! Add them to your playlist & watch the videos below!

Luxury Look-Alikes for Less: White Midi & Maxi Skirts Inspired by Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, & More!

It’s not secret that white skirts, whether mini, midi, or maxi, are on trend for the summer time; however, inspiration from celebrity street style offers a variety of ways to wear this seasonal staple year-after-year.

Selena Gomez, Katie Holmes, Taylor Swift, Olivia Wilde, & Priyanka Chopra Jonas in white midi & maxi skirts

I love how it’s a lighter contrast to a heavier knit on a cool morning or evening, as well as a dressy way to coordinate a graphic tee or polish off a crop top for a special occasion. Not to mention, white-on-white monochrome is classic for the hotter days when you want to feel & look effortless. Here are some affordable & inclusive suggestions to get inspired by Selena, Katie, Taylor, Olivia, & Priyanka’s white skirt style.

SHOP: smocked poplin midi skirt in white @Forever 21 ($29.99, available in sizes XS-XL).

Red Carpet Review: The Best Beauty, Hair, & Jewelry from the 2023 Golden Globe Awards, Including Jenna Ortega, Selena Gomez, Anya Taylor-Joy, & More!

I don’t know about you, but I haven’t stopped my standing ovation for Angela Bassett–not only for her history-making win for Best Supporting Actress in Any Motion Picture for her outstanding role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever at last night’s 80th Golden Globe Awards, but for her entire head-to-toe look. As soon as I saw her silver glistening Pamella Roland halter gown, I said, “That’s a winner’s dress,” & was right! Her Old Hollywood-inspired bob & gorgeous jewels made for a momentous night for both film & fashion, along with that of her stunning colleagues in the industry.

08/24/2022 Darling of the Day: Selena Gomez as Mabel Mora in the Season 2 Finale of Only Murders in the Building!

We finally know who killed Bunny Folger! Don’t worry—no major spoilers areas. Just some fashion talk!

As many of you may have already seen, the epic season 2 finale of Only Murders in the Building is now available on Hulu, resolving & shocking audiences with hints as to what’s to come for the already highly anticipated third season!

During the episode, Mabel Mora, played spectacularly by Selena Gomez, attends a Broadway production in a stunning one-shoulder emerald satin gown with a high slit.

Images for a full view of the dress are not yet available online, but that doesn’t mean we can’t take inspiration from Mabel’s vintage chic style & the wondrous costume designing of Emmy nominee Dana Covarrubias.

While we all don’t have luxurious lifestyles or red carpet events to attend, keeping that special gown or evening look in the back of your closet is always a good idea—just in case. Unsure of who actually designed Mabel’s show-stopping gown, I surfed the web to offer up these high-end versions, even though Mabel’s right arm is visibly out:

SHOP: Stephany dress with belt in olive green @Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop ($271.00, available in sizes XS-6XL) & Pryce off-the-shoulder column dress in dark green @Anthropology ($495.00, available in sizes 0-16).

For the budget-conscious Style Darling who’s loving Mabel’s jewel-tone choice, here are some more affordable options to capture the ease & drama of the look:

SHOP: For the Night satin one-shoulder dress in dark teal @Lulu’s ($98.00, available in sizes XS-XL), Simply Beautiful one-shoulder cut-out maxi dress in dark green @Lulu’s ($72.00, available in sizes XS-XL), Rhiannon one-shoulder satin long dress in hunter @Windsor ($59.90, available in sizes XS-XL), & KOH KOH long one-shoulder maxi dress in green @Amazon ($49.95, available in sizes S-5XL).

What do you think of the second season of Only Murders in the Building? Did you watch the finale yet? What are your season 3 predictions? 08/06/2022 Darling of the Day: Selena Gomez’s Glitzy Orange Sequin Set by LaPointe!

Maybe between Only Murders in the Building & Selena + Chef, I have a little girl crush on Selena Gomez, but who doesn’t? Really? The 30-year-old star continues to celebrate her glamorous arrival into the next chapter of her life while in Italy with rumored beau Andrea Iervolino, making a stylish & sparkling statement in a LaPointe orange sequin tank (shop here) & coordinating Bermuda shorts (shop here).

The look is glamorous, unapologetic, mature, & timeless for a young woman living it up in Capri, a celebrity hotspot as of late, & shopping at YSL. Additionally, the actress’s look includes slide heels (shop similar here), drop earrings (shop similar here), & Vintage Frames sunglasses (shop similar here).

However, finding an affordable & comparable look inspired by these LaPointe pieces is somewhat difficult (try Poshmark or Mercari for similar separates too), but if a shoulder-to-knee sequins may be a bit much for you, think about coordinating the sparkle with satin for a luxurious & comfortable outfit. I’ve selected the pieces below for inspiration, even though an orange set is hard to find for a budget. Also, keep scrolling for suggested accessories too!

SHOP: sequin embellished best top in orange @River Island ($56.00, available in sizes 2-14), Liangchenmei sequin sparkle cami in rose gold @Walmart ($17.49, available in sizes S-XXXXL), & Rachel Roy Erica satin tank top in orange @Walmart ($41.36, available in limited sizes).

SHOP: contrast sequin drawstring shorts in rose gold @Shein ($14.00, available in sizes XS-L), A New Day high rise satin pull-on shorts in orange @Target ($20.00, available in sizes XS-XXL), & satin paper bag waist tailored shorts in orange @Boohoo (on sale: $18.00, available in sizes 6-10).

SHOP: Rosemarie Collections double teardrop dangle earrings @Amazon ($22.99), square frame fashion sunglasses in black @Shein ($6.00), & A New Day Basil heels in brown @Target ($ 34.99).

About 15 years ago, I would’ve totally donned a look like this—which is not to say that it’s out of style; it’s just not my personal aesthetic. I can still appreciate it & applaud Selena’s fashion choices when it comes to neon hues & unexpected glam! When on vacation, it’s fun to express a different side of yourself to explore a new city or open yourself up to someone knew, all through style! What do you think of Selena’s outfit? Would you wear all-over sequins in a matching set like this? Is orange a color you gravitate towards for summer? Watch This Style: Selena Gomez Goes to Malibu for HBO Max’s Selena + Chef’s Season 4!

It won’t be long before actress (& Emmy-nominated producer), Grammy-nominated singer, & Rare Beauty entrepreneur Selena Gomez will be dominating 2 streaming services with Only Murders in the Building continuing its second season on Hulu, as well as the return of Selena + Chef on HBO Max for a 4th season, boasting lots of fun & food love already, at least based on the trailer below. The celebrity chef-in-progress takes her gaggle of gal pals to an already screen-seasoned Malibu beach house, where both Hannah Montana & Big Little Lies were filmed. Famous chefs / mentors set to appear with Selena on the show include familiar faces to the kitchen, such as Adrienne Cheatham, Devonn Francis, Gordon Ramsay, Kristen Kish, Ludo Lefebvre, Matty Matheson, Nick DiGiovanni, Paola Velez, Priya Krishna, & Rachael Ray!

There are 2 very remarkable accomplishments for Selena + Chef:

1. The show launched in August 2020 for 10 seasons that were meant to connect audiences during a time of disconnection; streaming, food, & entertainment served as society’s escape from the pandemic. As a result, newcomers to the kitchen identified with Selena’s unfamiliarity with certain foods, skills, & utensils. Whether you were watching from the comfort of your couch or taking notes to recreate the dish yourself, everyone bonded as Selena learned to cook virtually with a variety of celebrity chefs.

2. As these celebrity chefs share their love of food & culture, a range of charities found a platform for awareness & “the series has raised $400,000” in donations to “26 nonprofit organizations,” according to People. As Selena cooks up some laughs & indulges in the spices & sweets, she’s shining a much-deserved spotlight on underprivileged communities, mental health issues, liked-minded foodies, & more!

Lastly, I’m most excited about 2 things this season: 1. Watching more of Selena’s kitchenware line Our Place x Selena, which includes 2 innovative, all-purpose items: a pan for always & a pot for always in 11 different colors! Now, that’s style! 2. What Selena wears in the kitchen!

Have you been watching Selena + Chef? Have you tried any of the recipes featured on the show? Are you excited about the 4th season in Malibu that premieres on August 18th? Who is your favorite celebrity chef? Fashion Flashback: Selena Gomez’s Best Looks for Her (Belated) 30th Birthday!

Selena Gomez has been in the spotlight for most of her life & it seems like she’s only getting started! She’s a talented actress in films like Spring Breakers or shows like Only Murders in the Building, sensational singer like in her Spanish album Revelacion, foreword thinking business woman with Rare Beauty, advocate for mental health with Wonderminds, & entertaining chef on Selena + Chef.

In addition, she’s a style icon, so in celebration of her 30th birthday (yesterday), here’s a flashback of her fashion range as bombshell, ingenue, & risk-taker in edgy, classic, elegant, & bold gowns, mini dresses, suits of all kinds, outfits, & more!

Red Carpet Review: Selena Gomez Celebrates the Kind Words Launch of Rare Beauty in Alexander McQueen!

Selena Gomez is at it again! No, she’s not solving murders, like her character, Mable Mora, does on Only Murders in the Building. No, she’s not cooking up a feast for her friends & family, like she does on the hit HBOMax show Selena + Chef. No, she’s not singing her heart out, like she did on her most recent album, Revelacion. This time, she’s promoting her new lipstick & lip liner launch for her cosmetics brand, Rare Beauty, Kind Words in effortless, mature, & elegant style.

The mogul & entertainer stepped out in a Santa Monica Sephora wearing a blazer mini dress with lace detailing by Alexander McQueen (shop similar here) from the Fall/Winter 2022 collection, finished with Jimmy Choo Minny sandals in black (shop here), maintaining a polished, professional, & posh style for yet another blogworthy appearance, as seen below.

In an email interview with Harper’s Bazaar last month, Selena revealed the process behind developing the Kind Words matter lip colors, along with her favorites, stating: “I wanted to create a classic lipstick that’s truly comfortable. Every shade is easy and wearable, and just perfect for every day…This is everything I’ve ever wanted in a lip liner. Super smooth and doesn’t tug on your lips and made to last all day without feeling sticky.”

In the same Harper’s Bazaar piece, Selena adds, “I’ve been testing and wearing these products for the past year with my friends and makeup artists. This year, I’ve worn the lipstick and liners to the SAG Awards, Critics Choice Awards, Only Murders in the Building press days, and on my days off…I can’t stop wearing the new Kind Words Matte Lip Liner in Fun, which I have been pairing with the Kind Words Matte Lipstick in Lively. Fun is a beautiful neutral mauve, and Lively is more of a rose-pink shade, and they complement each other well. If I want a bold lip look, my go-to is Gifted, which is a deep dusty plum. That’s what I’m wearing in the campaign! The lipsticks and liners are so easy to wear, because they’re comfortable and creamy, so the lips stay soft and supple. I love this collection because every shade is wearable and perfect for an everyday look whether I’m mixing and matching or wearing the same shades.”

Check out the below video, from Beauty Velle, for a glimpse into Selena’s Kind Words collection in rich matte hues for any occasion:

For $15-$20, the liners & lipsticks seem like a worthy investment, if you’re the lipstick-loving type!

Are you excited for Selena’s next beauty venture? Which hues are your favorites? Do you wear any of her cosmetics? Which celebrity beauty line do you follow & love the most? Red Carpet Review: Selena Gomez Sparkles in Michael Kors at the Season 2 Premiere of Only Murders in the Building!

If you haven’t watched season 1 of Only Murders in the Building on Hulu, stop reading & go do it–all 10 episodes!

However, if you’re excited for season 2 to drop TODAY, just like I am, you’ll be extra psyched to see the show’s star, Selena Gomez, in all of her silver sparkly glory at the season 2 premiere in Los Angeles yesterday. With a cut-out & super high slit gown by Michael Kors, plus a beachy/glam ponytail, shimmering hoop earrings by Effy Jewelry (shop similar here), & makeup, no doubt, from her Rare Beauty collection, this is Selena’s best red carpet look EVER, IMO. She’s poised, polished, & perfectly glistening with such a modern take on a classic Hollywood aesthetic. The range that she displays on the red carpet, when performing on stage, & on the show as the sarcastic Mable Mora is admirable & evocative, cementing her status as a major player in the entertainment industry who is only just getting started (with over 100 acting credits to her name & 9 albums to her name)!

Have a look at Selena’s stunning red carpet appearance, which is just the beginning of what will be a fashionable press tour for the show & her upcoming Rare Beauty launches:

To catch up on what happened last season, watch the season 1 trailer (not a recap!) below:

If you haven’t already watched it on repeat, watch the hi-jinx about to ensue on the residents (& outcasts) of the Arconia building:

I can’t wait to laugh, cry, & wonder about how this new season will unfold, especially with celebrity guest stars, such as comedian Amy Schumer and Selena’s good friend / supermodel Cara Delevingne joining in on the fun.

What do you think of Selena’s red carpet look? Are you excited to follow the hapless, podcasting trio into their next adventure? Suiting Up for a Stylish 2020, Inspired by Awkwafina, Selena Gomez, & More!

Happy belated 2020 Style Darlings! I’m happy to make a return (albeit a brief one) to my blog posts, especially as I look forward to a stylish & confident new year. The semester is about to start & there is always a lot to do at home, which is why my regular posts are not as regular as I’d like. I encourage all of my readers to follow me on Instagram @styledarlingdaily to keep up with what I’m wearing, what I’m shopping for, what I’m loving, & who’s wearing what…which brings me to today’s post about who is wearing suits & why that’s so special.

I’m not much of suit sporter myself. I’ve never been a fan of what has always felt like a restrictive topper like a blazer, which is why I’m pro-cardigan on the daily, but I’m pretty inspired by the trend of playful & colorful suiting that I’ve seen on some of my favorite & most stylish celebrities. Wearing a head-to-toe pattern or monochromatic palette is both classic & edgy for any number of occasions, including figuring out what to wear to work! Some recent noteworthy looks include Golden Globe-winner Awkwafina (for her role in The Farewell) in a hot pink suit by Cinq à Sept (shop the blazer & pants) with a black crop top, Aussie Cate Blanchett‘s polka dot perfection in a Haider Ackermann suit with blue Dorateymur boots, Priyanka Chopra Jonas in a pretty pink silk suit with contrasting raspberry, a spring-ready Rose Byrne (star of Like a Boss) in a pastel suit by Christian Wijnants with white pumps, the always delightful Salma Hayek in all-over plaid by Gucci (shop the vest), & “Lose You To Love Me” singer Selena Gomez‘s cognac suit by Gauge81 paired with a cashmere blouse by Victor Glemaud & Yuul Yie boots.

Akwafina, Cate Blanchett, Priyanka Chopra, Rose Byrne, Salma Hayek, & Selena Gomez in suits.

Of course, some looks are bolder than others, but why not try something new without breaking the bank? Some of my favorite places to shop for matching separates include regular discounts & sales on new arrivals & wardrobe staples.

SHOP @New York & Company for the pink blazer & ankle pant (limited availability in sizes 0-20)

SHOP @New York & Company for the Madie plaid blazer & ankle pant (limited availability in sizes 0-20)

SHOP @Eloquii for the pastel blue tie-waist blazer & Kady pant (limited availability in sizes 14-28)

SHOP @ASOS for the blush smart mix & match blazer & cigarette pant (limited availability in sizes 0-14)

Where do you like shopping for suiting? Do you stick to a monochromatic looks or mix up separates? How often do you refresh your suiting wardrobe? For more stylish & celebrity-inspired posts, check out Jessica Alba’s platforms, Victoria Beckham’s neon heels, & Michelle Obama’s sparkling boots! Happy Styling!

Cover Craze: Selena Gomez for Vogue’s April Issue!

Selena Gomez is a force to be reckoned with & her latest appearance on American Vogue (the first time she’s appeared on the revered fashion magazine’s cover) is just another example of how the multitalented star is truly herself & a superstar at the same time. During her interview, she discusses everything from mental health & therapy, growing up in the spotlight, why she’s ghosting on Instagram, how she’s keeping mum on her new relationship with The Weeknd, & what’s next for her both personally & professionally.

Not only does the 24-year-old stun on stage & the big screen, but the Vogue shoot is fraught with sexy spring & summer style, as she wears designers like Balenciaga, Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Dolce & Gabbana, to name a few.

Which magazines are your favorite for all the latest celebrity & fashion news? Which stars do you love to see on covers? Happy Styling!

On top of the wild success of her 1989 album, the country-turned-pop singer has just been nominated for a total of nine MTV Video Music Award nominations, for her ultra chic & high profile music videos, “Bad Blood” & “Blank Space.”

The star-studded “Bad Blood” video, set in futuristic London when tough girls (á la Sin City) rule the world, features an ensemble slew of Taylor’s a-list gal pals like singer Selena Gomez, models Karlie Kloss & Gigi Hadid, Girls showrunner Lena Dunham, The Honest Company entrepreneur Jessica Alba, singer Zendaya, Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld, British pop sensation Ellie Goulding, model Martha Hunt, Empire actress Serayah, Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams, Grey’s Anatomy‘s Ellen Pompeo, Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay, Victoria’s Secret model Lily Aldridge, Paper Towns actress Cara Delevingne, supermodel Cindy Crawford, as well as collaborator on the song, rapper Kendrick Lamar.

Taylow Swift Blank Space style

“Blank Space” is certainly my favorite of Taylor’s 1989 singles & music videos, not just for the fullness of her lyrics, but also the super stylish wardrobe changes Taylor undergoes while performing the song about love gone bad. She’s dripping in decadent jewels & takes risks in bold animal prints, romantic chiffon, sultry lingerie, all while running her heart out in some enviable footwear.

1989‘s first & third singles are worth sharing too, & why not? “Style” is one of Taylor’s artsier music videos, taking on new “stylistic” feats when putting her songs in motion to tell their stories. Also, there’s that ever-catchy “Shake it Off,” which rings true for anyone who has ever been told that they’re wrong for doing what they want.

Calvin Harris’ sweetheart isn’t going anywhere & that’s a good thing! Let’s hope to indulge in more Taylor Swift-inspired style choices & embrace life for all of its highs & lows, making something positive from it all. Which Taylor Swift song + video is your favorite? Accessories Access: Summer’s Best Statement Jewelry For $10 & Under!

When it comes to transitioning your wardrobe from season to season, sometimes favorite repeats from years past just need a little reinventing with bold, statement jewelry. For myself, I’ve been diving into accessories lately, finding new ways to wear my favorite tops with a little pop of color or sparkle. Also, I’m crazy about dressing up something casual with ornate earrings & an embossed cuff bracelet. As usual, as a Style Darling on a budget, I’ve found six items in each general jewelry category for $10 or under for your shopping & style inspiration!

For high-profile red carpet events, celebrities don statement earrings to compliment their looks, but these stunners aren’t just for gowns & cocktail dresses. Baubles & gem dripping from ears totally elevate any outfit, as seen on Zoe Saldana, Kate Hudson, Emma Roberts, & Emily Blunt.

When it comes to statement necklaces, it’s important to be aware of your dress or shirt’s neckline to truly show off the details in your jewelry. Let the necklace do all the talking & take note of the confidence in celebs like Heidi Klum, Jessica Biel, Nina Dobrev, & Amy Adams featured below.

Sometimes your dress or outfit is so sleek & simple, dressing it up with a statement bracelet is all you need to do, especially when sporting a head-to-toe monochromatic look. That’s when your sparkle will say the most, just like on Drew Barrymore, Selena Gomez, Olivia Palermo, & Emma Watson.

Lastly, a statement cocktail ring adds a special touch of glamour & chicness, complimenting your manicure, while tying the whole look together in an understated way. Check out what Blake Lively, Rihanna, Eva Mendes, & Kerry Washington wear for that little something extra.

It’s been quite the fashionable fall, & there’s just too much to talk about, but I’m sure that these top 10 images in my latest gallery are sure to blow away even the most critical of style critics. As signs of autumn have never been more present here on Long Island, it’s impossible not to look to the most buzzed about celebrities without some major fashion envy. Some of the favorites from the last week or so include a dressed down Selena Gomez in a white t-shirt with olive buckled leather pants from Rachel Zoe Collection, gold hoops by Melinda Maria, & black leather sneakers, as well as Oscar-winner Natalie Portman donning a cashmere sweater with a silver brocade full skirt by Christian Dior & black Charlotte Olympia pumps. Also, I’m loving the formal styles of Carrie Underwood‘s beaded blue number by Randi Rahm, Diane Kruger‘s graphic print frock by Cushnie et Ochs, & Michelle Williams‘ sleek LBD from Louis Vuitton.

Also featured in the gallery below are Style Darling regulars like blogger-actress Ashley Madekwe in a Thakoon design, Nashville crooner Hayden Panettiere in Georges Hobeika, Kate Beckinsale in a red Donna Karan draped dress with a Jimmy Choo pumps, the usually shocking Miley Cyrus looking elegant in an emerald Marc Jacobs halter gown, & Gravity star Sandra Bullock showing off her killer figure in an LBD by DSquared2.

Red Carpet Review: The Wild Looks From The MTV VMAs, Featuring Ciara, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, & More!

Music’s most popular & praised hit Brooklyn this weekend to celebrate the MTV VMAs. The ceremony featured a slew of performances that left audiences with their jaws on the floor & many heads scratched. I’m going to talk about talent here. I loved seeing Lady Gaga back in action, as well as the throwback to Justin Timberlake‘s career since his days in NSYNC & also, a memorable Bruno Mars who hit the stage with his new single, “Gorilla.”

However, we must consider the red carpet, which featured a lot of controversial looks, as well as elegant surprises. My favorites include sophisticated risk-takers like Selena Gomez showing her rock side in Atelier Versace, Katy Perry‘s leopard, leggy look by Emanuel Ungaro, Ciara in a Givenchy Couture, & Lady Gaga herself in a black Elvira-inspired look by Prabal Gurung. Of course, Taylor Swift looked stunning in Hérvé Leger & Naya Rivera‘s cut-out black gown was chic, but these girls need to learn to loosen up.

Which looks are your favorite? Which performance were you talking about the most on Monday morning? Do you think Miley Cyrus went too far during her performance? Top 10 Celeb Sightings: LBDs, Florals, & Structured Polish From Jennifer Aniston, Diane Kruger, Selena Gomez, & More!

I’m trying to catch up the biggest headlines in fashion, while keeping my budget in mind, especially since I’m currently on a shopping fast to cleanse not just my soul, but also my savings account! However, what better way to indulge in fashion than to check out the latest red carpet looks from our favorite celebrities. Between We Are The Millers & Mortal Instruments, I’m kind of obsessed with seeing how young Hollywood & veteran Style Darlings are keeping their cool during these last few weeks of summer.

My top picks include both of Jennifer Aniston‘s looks, including a flirty LBD by Alexander McQueen that she accessorized with a leather corset belt, as well as the former Friends star in a feminine floral Christian Dior dress with sleek ankle-strap Casadei stilettos. Also, I’m loving Amanda Seyfried‘s metallic polka dot Gucci frock with Givenchy heels & The Bridge actress, Diane Kruger, in a structured plaid Carven midi dress with nude Stuart Weitzman pumps.

Also included in the gallery are the always lovely Ashley Greene in a studded Temperley London shift dress, style blogger / Revenge star Ashley Madekwe‘s stunning yellow jumpsuit by Diane von Furstenberg with a vintage Chanel belt, Julianne Hough‘s Halston HeritageBec & Bridge separates look, Pretty Little Liars bombshell Lucy Hale‘s Paper London ensemble, Olivia Wilde‘s wild printed Clover Canyon midi dress, & lastly, pop star Selena Gomez showing some leg in a green Cushnie et Ochs dress with nude Nicholas Kirkwood pumps.

Red Carpet Review: The Best Looks From The 2013 Billboard Music Awards, Including Emmy Rossum, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift, & More!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Last night’s Billboard Music Awards were a big draw for viewers, attracting big names from the worlds of rap, rock, pop, & country. However, it’s the BLUE carpet that has fashion critics & bloggers buzzing today. Designer Zuhair Murad was definitely in-demand, dressing the likes of Jennifer Lopez in a deep-v gold gown, Emmy Rossum in a black velvet & sheer polka-dotted dramatic look, & Taylor Swift who showed off her gams in a blue sparkling mini dress. Also, celebrities worth noting were Hayden Panettiere who looked regal in a black Halston Heritage gown, Chloe Moretz in a printed Fendi frock, & Selena Gomez in a stunning white & neon-accented plunging gown by Atelier Versace. Additionally, some nay-sayers are also giving Nicki Minaj some heat over her red bustier gown, which channeled Rihanna‘s Azzedine Alaia dress from this year’s Grammy’s, but I think that this is almost the best that the rapper has ever looked & she should keep taking tips from Rihanna.

If I was an officer of the Fashion Police, I would certainly fine whoever it was that let the lovely star of the upcoming ABC series Mistresses, Alyssa Milano, out in that awkward palazzo pant ensemble by Emilio Pucci, as well as Jenny McCarthy‘s stylist for the 90s-homage tank & maxi skirt look. Sure, she’s in her 40s, has a great body, & her makeup looks gorgeous, but there are definitely better options out there for the VH1 talk show host.

Who wore your favorite look? Which artist gave the best performance at the show? Did you like the blue carpet looks? For more from Red Carpet Review, check out previous posts including my recent gallery for Top 10 Celeb Sightings including Jennifer Aniston & Victoria Beckham, this year’s Met Costume Institute Gale featuring Emma Watson & Amanda Seyfried, & a complete look at Oblivion actress Olga Kurylenko’s press tour & premieres. Basics For A Bargain: It’s Finally Spring & Finally Time For Florals!

There’s still a chill in the air here in New York, but it’s finally starting to look like spring. There’s change in the air & I know I’m really excited about it- & not just for my change in wardrobe. However, speaking of spring fashions, the go-to print of the season is florals & I couldn’t turn my back the trend, especially when I’ve been seeing it everywhere! For example, A-list celebs have been wearing florals even during the winter, ushering in the warmer season. Miranda Kerr is all smiles in a floral skirt with a leather Prada tote while taking in the day in Sydney. Elizabeth Olsen mixed her floral top with a mustard coat & skinny jeans. Actress Diane Kruger attended a press event for Farewell, My Queen in a 10 Crosby Derek Lam ensemble.

Miranda Kerr, Elizabeth Olsen, Diane Kruger, Selena Gomez, Jessica Chastain, & Dianna Agron.

Superstar Selena Gomez hit the SXSW Festival in a matching bustier & skirt by Dolce & Gabbana. Two-time Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain wears an Erdem sheath dress with nude Christian Louboutins. Lastly, former Glee star Dianna Agron attended a luncheon with The Hollywood Reporter in an Oday Shakar floral dress with suede Jimmy Choo heels.

Not to mention that there have been plenty of florals hitting the runways this year, including luxe vintage from Valentino, 80s-inspired rocker chic designs from Betsey Johnson, youthful & bright patterns from Tracy Reese, Lanvin‘s elegant & sophistication, & Erdem‘s playful & refreshing angle on flowers.

Valentino, Betsey Johnson, Tracy Reese, Lanvin, & Erdem.

Whether it’s on clothing, accessories, or mixed & match (which I only recommend doing with caution), I made a few selections from some of my favorite stores to share how you can wear the latest floral pieces on a budget! The best piece to start building the perfect spring wardrobe is a dress, like the Merona sleeveless tulip wrap dress ($19.00) from Target, which has recently been marked down from its original $24.99 price. The flattering wrap shape is perfect for accentuating your shape & the navy background adds a regal touch is paired with basketweave espadrilles or bright ballet flats. Next is the LC Lauren Conrad floral ruffle tank ($25.20) from Kohl’s, which is a feminine topper piece to wear with dark denim jeans, white skinny pants, or a denim skirt.

Don’t be afraid of florals on your bottom half, especially with the 4 1/2″ belted printed flat front shorts ($32.94) from Express, which add some tropical flair to your look & will dress down a lace blouse. I love the idea of sequins with florals & this skirt ($34.95) from H&M is a stylish marriage of both. This will pair nicely with a chambray button down shirt for a fashionable day out & about or with a solid pullover & pointy toe pumps for a date. Lastly, floral pants are also one of the biggest trends this season, especially in a looser cut to provide plenty of flow & movement, which is why I choose the Full Tilt skinny harem pants ($24.99) from Tilly’s. The chic black, gray, & white color combination is understated & can be coordinated with pastel pieces like coral or mint.

As for accessories, these bright colors will make your outfit pop, especially since they’re so effortless to match with wardrobe essentials. For example, the sequin tulip print pumps ($27.80) from Forever 21 are flirty & will add extra dimension to cuffed jeans & a ruffled top. Also, for a more subtle floral shoe, the novelty ballet flats ($39.95) from Gap. The soft pink & red tones in the shoe can offset any striped tee & jeans look in a ladylike way.

Part of what I love about spring is that I can still wear scarves, which can bring a lot to a look, like the ground floral scarf ($14.99) from Payless for a denim jacket & LBD with ankle strap platforms or a maxi dress & cargo vest with gladiator flats. Lastly, I’m not really a hat kind of girl, but in some cases, you need to protect your face from the harsh rays of the sun, especially this early in the season, which is why I picked the pop floral baseball cap ($8.99) from Charlotte Russe.

What do you think about the latest floral trend? Which pieces would you wear? What’s your spring wardrobe budget? Red Carpet Review: 2013 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Featuring Katy Perry, Jessica Alba, Fergie, & More!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Last night, young Hollywood celebrate the biggest hits & most popular kids in show business for the 2013 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards! Normally, this isn’t an event that I’d cover for Style Darling, but there were some pretty fantastic style moments on the red carpet, celebrating the brightest colors, busiest patterns, & most flattering silhouettes for spring. This includes favorites Jessica Alba in a printed Mary Katrantzou dress with pointed toe bowed heels, as well as a midriff-baring Katy Perry in a printed Herve Leger by Max Azria two-piece outfit with black pointy toe pumps. Also, in tow was a very pregnant Fergie also wearing a colorful Mary Katrantzou dress with neon ankle strap sandals & Victoria Justice in a printed Pia Pauro dress with coral ankle strap sandals by Aldo. The big winner of the night was Kristen Stewart who surprised in a checkered top & shorts outfits by Osman with black patent Christian Louboutins.

Which looks are your favorite from the red carpet? Are you on board the bright & colorful pattern trend?
