Sunday night’s Oscars were magical, celebrating the magic of film; however, the after parties included a tremendous amount of sparkle, skin, & jewels as stars attend either or both the Vanity FairOscars Party or the bash for the Elton John AIDS Foundation. The glamour continued & even surpassed some of the ceremony’s high fashion. See the gallery below!
This weekend’s BAFTAs were a spectacle of cinema & fashion, but the celebration didn’t stop there as the after parties were all about glam, sparkle, & drama. Stars of the night hit the party scene with a strategic & fashionable wardrobe change in jaw-dropping & sleek looks. Some of my favorites include The Menu star Anya Taylor-Joy in a cream head-to-toe Jean Paul Gaultier Couture look, English actress Lily James sparkling in a silver Jimmy Choo design, & The Wonder phenom Florence Pugh in a pink & silver Valentino mini. The red carpet of last night’s BRIT Awards wowed with over-the-top fa-shun from the likes of major recording artists—which is really no surprise, but a lot of fun to write about—such as “As It Was” singer Harry Styles in an all-black statement flower suit, the iconic Sam Smith taking black latex to the next level, superstar Lizzo in full metallic glam, pop singer Ellie Goulding donning brunette locks in a leather armor-inspired ensemble, a suave Lucien Laviscount from Emily in Paris, & actress Jodie Turner-Smith owning the liquid gold look.

British fashion legend Vivienne Westwood passed away today at the age of 81. Her career began in the 1970s, proving relevant every decade with its blatantly refreshing combination of punk meets glam. Westwood’s signature corseted design with a deconstructed sweetheart neckline has drawn the attention of celebrity A-listers for good reason, especially as many stars have returned to the label time & time again, including Euphoria’s Zendaya, singer Gwen Stefani, Oscar-winner Jessica Chastain, The Crown’s Helena Bonham-Carter, Wednesday actress Gwendoline Christie, the always stylish Kate Beckinsale, Disenchanted star Amy Adams, The Great lead Elle Fanning, pop singer Katy Perry, Westworld actress Thandiwe Newton, & of course, Sarah Jessica Parker’s iconic Carrie Bradshaw in her gown from the Sex & the City film, which reappears in the upcoming second season of And Just Like That.
Take a look through the images below as we honor Westwood’s creative contributions to fashion & the inspiration she imbues on Style Darlings everywhere.
Last night’s #MetGala at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art honored Asian-inspired fashion with Anna Wintour‘s latest exhibition, China: Through the Looking Glass. In attendance were top A-listers from the realms of fashion, music, Hollywood, & more, wowing on the red carpet & showing support for the art of fashion. Some of the greatest risk takers of the night included Rihanna in a stunning over-the-top gold design by Guo Pei, Beyoncé‘s barely there shimmering gown by Givenchy, Jennifer Lopezwho showed off her best assets in a Versace design,Sarah Jessica Parker‘s collaboration with H&M & a masterfully crafted Philip Treacy headpiece, the always elegant Kerry Washingtonin a pink Prada confection, & Anne Hathaway‘s futuristic & sleek hooded gold gown by Ralph Lauren.

When it comes to ad campaigns, I’m always excited to see celebrities in action wielding a fashion or beauty brand. However, in the spirit of style, the Italian brand, Miu Miu, has gathered a group of models, including Adriana Lima & Georgia May Jagger, to represent their latest Fall 2013 collection. The mixture of prints with pops of color create a fun, flirty, & fall-ready combination of looks for the upcoming season. The usual fashion photo shoot contains a slew of models posing for the camera, but this newest campaign shows that models can also dance aside from walk a runway. Also featured in the ad are Katlin Aas, Daphne Groeneveld, Anne Verhallen, & Lindsey Wixson.
