UPDATING as we speak… err type! Tonight’s Golden Globe Awards is off to a gorgeous start with some majorly breathtaking style on the red carpet! I just can’t decide on a favorite… just yet! See the gallery below for who wore what & leave your thoughts in the comments! Happy Styling!
While I’m a major fan of the glorious ballgown on a red carpet, I’m always fascinated to study the non-traditional choices, which are becoming more & more the norm, including short dresses & pants / jumpsuits / tuxedos on female attendees. There are so many lists & galleries on social media & the internet recalling the best Golden Globe looks of all time, as well as the most extreme. However, let’s take some time to review the non-traditional, which are likely to appear on tonight’s red carpet for the highly-anticipated return of the controversial awards ceremony.
From mini to midi dresses, the red carpet is no stranger to short designs with some sparkle, structure, or volume, especially when making an elegant, playful style statement:
Pants looks come in all forms, on a deconstructed tuxedo, jumpsuit, & suit, imitating the dress look, but also playing with cut-outs, adornments, separates, & proportions. Black is the most popular option with a pants look, as seen below:
Who wore your favorite skirt look? Do you think a mini dress is appropriate for such an event? What about the jumpsuits & tuxedos? Who pulled it off the best, in your opinion? This weekend’s star-studded red carpet for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s 2022 Gala, included gorgeous vintage & contemporary gowns & suits, with a special celebration of Gucci designs as the house sponsored the event. Some of the A-listers who wowed with their constant glamour include Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney, Anne Boleyn star Jodie Turner-Smith, model Heidi Klum, director-actress Olivia Wilde, Abbott Elementary breakout Quinta Brunson, Emmy winner Julia Garner, two-time Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan, K-pop singer Rosé, the always stunning Salma Hayek-Pinault, socialite Paris Hilton, director Elizabeth Banks, Grammy winner Billie Eilish, & more! Summer is a great time for fashion, especially when it comes to scoping out what our favorite celebrities are wearing in their street style on vacation & for blockbuster movie premieres on the red carpet. It’s August & we’re basking in the post-Met Gala glow of the finest in fashion, preparing for Fashion Week in September, all for the harried & sparkly zen that is keeping up with awards season. One name among all the frenzy that is constantly impressing in the world of fashion is designer Zac Posen.
In the newest trailer for the fashion documentary House of Z, fashion lovers catch a glimpse of Posen’s career triumphs, devastating struggles, & return to fame. There’s nothing I love more than a fashion doc, which is why I’m super excited to learn more about Posen’s creative process & journey. The Project Runway judge / creative director of Brooks Brothers is an unstoppable force whose story teaches viewers that if you have a dream, you must go on & continue creating.
In the video below during an interview with BUILD Series, Posen discusses the documentary’s development, his familial strain, his favorite red carpet moments, & how the film served as therapy when revisiting his past troubles in the industry.
Zac Posen’s impact on the red carpet continues to make waves, especially on celebrities like Heidi Klum, Claire Danes, Reese Witherspoon, Rihanna, Gwyneth Paltrow, January Jones, Eva Longoria, Lena Dunham, Amanda Seyfried, & Sofia Vergara.
House of Z premieres on Vogue.com on September 6th. I know I’ll be watching! What is your favorite Zac Posen red carpet moment? Are you going to watch the fashion documentary? How do you express your creativity? Happy Styling!
July is almost over, but that doesn’t mean summer is about to end. When it comes to summer fashion, wearing monochromatic white is an effortless, chic, & classic choice for any occasion. White is bright, sleek, light, & easy to pair with neutrals & prints for a luxe look. Get inspired by the celebrities below, including Project Runway judge Heidi Klum, royal fashionista Kate Middleton, model Kendall Jenner, Scandal star Kerry Washington, Café Society actress Kristen Stewart, & designer Nicole Richie.
More inspiration for the office, a day out with the girls, & date night comes from beauty queen Olivia Culpo, fashionable force Olivia Palermo, singer Selena Gomez, Burnt actress Sienna Miller, musician Solange Knowles, & pop star Zendaya.
In an effort to reach Style Darlings of all shapes & sizes, I’m happy to share some white-on-white inspiration with options of misses, plus, & petites looks because no one should be excluded from wearing what they want. White isn’t always an easy color (or lack of) to pull off (I know I never wear it all together), but I love a crisp white dress & flats, mixed with some sparkly metallic jewelry. Check out the below options to help build an elegant & on-trend all-white outfit to affordably play with for the rest of the summer.
Do you like to wear all white in the summer? Which pieces are your favorites? What color do you most style monochromatically? Which celebrity’s all-white ensemble inspires you? Happy Styling!
I’m not usually one to rush time away, especially in the face of the holidays, but the holiday spirit has its hold on me & I can’t stop thinking about sparkle, glamour, & elegance this season. With that in mind, I’ve been ooh-ing & aah-ing at all the latest celebrity looks that have hit the red carpet because there are so many beautiful designs, recalling Old Hollywood decadence & inspiring me to get a little extra glam every day when it comes to lace, sequins, jewel tones, & drama.
Actress / director Elizabeth Banks sparkled in a striped sequined Dolce & Gabbana column gown with jewelry by Irene Neuwirth & a black clutch at the Los Angeles premiere of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2. Two-time Oscar-winner Hilary Swank was shimmering in a black & white Naeem Khan long sleeve gown with drop earrings & a black clutch at the 2015 Bambi Awards. It-girl Jennifer Lawrence dazzled in a white silk illusion-paneled Dior evening gown with jewelry by Graziela Gems at the Los Angeles premiere of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2.

Tonight’s Emmy awards are already causing a buzz all over the internet, especially among fashion bloggers everywhere. I have nothing but love to show for all the female nominees & presenters on the red carpet. At the end of the day, it’s all about positively celebrating today’s most talented women. However, when it comes to fashion, there’s a legacy about the red carpet & seeing high-end couture & designers’ visions come to life on some of our favorite stars.
Some of my favorites walked the red carpet in California’s sweltering heat to the beat of their own stylish drum, including Scandal star Kerry Washington (in Marc Jacobs), Modern Family star Sarah Hyland (in Zac Posen), a bold January Jones (in Ulyana Sergeenko), Empire‘s Cookie, Taraji P. Henson (in Alexander Wang), & funny girl Amy Schumer (in Zac Posen).
More beauty was in tow with stars from all side of entertainment, including the highly anticipated star of American Horror Story: Hotel, Lady Gaga (in Brandon Maxwell), Orange is the New Black star Laverne Cox (in Calvin Klein Collection), Homeland actress Claire Danes (in Prada), the always curvaceous Christina Hendricks (in Naeem Khan), Parks & Recreation star Aubrey Plaza (in Alexandre Vauthier), & bride to be Sofia Vergara (in St. John).
There were so many trends lighting up the red carpet, such as pops of colors, chain details, shimmers & sparkles, & much more! Also, among the gorgeous fashion choices were additional favorites like Jane the Virgin breakout star Gina Rodriguez (in Lorena Sarbu), Orange is the New Black‘s Danielle Brooks (in Christian Siriano), The Mindy Project show runner Mindy Kaling (in a belted gold number), Blindspot actress Jaimie Alexander (in Armani Prive), & the always statuesque Taylor Schilling (in Stella McCartney).
