This weekend’s BAFTAs were a spectacle of cinema & fashion, but the celebration didn’t stop there as the after parties were all about glam, sparkle, & drama. Stars of the night hit the party scene with a strategic & fashionable wardrobe change in jaw-dropping & sleek looks. Some of my favorites include The Menu star Anya Taylor-Joy in a cream head-to-toe Jean Paul Gaultier Couture look, English actress Lily James sparkling in a silver Jimmy Choo design, & The Wonder phenom Florence Pugh in a pink & silver Valentino mini. Scroll through the gallery below to check out all of the dazzling fashion from the night!
Not to mention, sleek & elegant tuxedo separates were donned by Everything Everywhere Allat Once lead Michelle Yeoh in blush Dior, Jamie Lee Curtis in velvet & white, & Good Luck to You, Leo Grande nominee Emma Thompson in head-to-toe cream.
I’m not usually one to rush time away, especially in the face of the holidays, but the holiday spirit has its hold on me & I can’t stop thinking about sparkle, glamour, & elegance this season. With that in mind, I’ve been ooh-ing & aah-ing at all the latest celebrity looks that have hit the red carpet because there are so many beautiful designs, recalling Old Hollywood decadence & inspiring me to get a little extra glam every day when it comes to lace, sequins, jewel tones, & drama.
Last night’s #MetGala at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art honored Asian-inspired fashion with Anna Wintour‘s latest exhibition, China: Through the Looking Glass. In attendance were top A-listers from the realms of fashion, music, Hollywood, & more, wowing on the red carpet & showing support for the art of fashion. Some of the greatest risk takers of the night included Rihanna in a stunning over-the-top gold design by Guo Pei, Beyoncé‘s barely there shimmering gown by Givenchy, Jennifer Lopezwho showed off her best assets in a Versace design,Sarah Jessica Parker‘s collaboration with H&M & a masterfully crafted Philip Treacy headpiece, the always elegant Kerry Washingtonin a pink Prada confection, & Anne Hathaway‘s futuristic & sleek hooded gold gown by Ralph Lauren.
Of course, there are plenty of glamour & daring fashion feats in the slideshow below to feed your celebrity red carpet style obsession. Who wore your favorite look? Will you be headed to NYC to check out the exhibit? Who missed the mark on the red carpet? Happy Styling!
It’s been a while since I posted a runway gallery, & what better day to celebrate the fabulous styles of Fall 2012 Haute Couture than by featuring the latest collection from Chanel. If you didn’t already know, August 19th marks the 129th birthday of designer Coco Chanel. In honor of the day, I’ve collected images of the 65-piece line from Elle, which shows a feminine & elegant homage to the legendary house of fashion. In addition to tweed separates, stylish jackets, & feathered dresses all in hues of black, gray, & pink. I’ve been staying on top of all the latest runway shows, trying to add a little more high fashion splash to Style Darling & came across this enchanting video of the latest from Valentino. The legendary brand’s Haute Couture Fall 2012 / Winter 2013 show is full of dramatic construction, gothic hues, flirty florals, lavish long sleeves, & glamorous gold sparkle, perfect as a platform for next season’s envious styles. I can already see the likes of red carpet veterans like Angelina Jolie, Cate Blanchett, & Meryl Streep donning these unforgettable designs. You can shop for Valentino @Net-A-Porter, Far Fetch, Neiman Marcus, & Nordstrom!
