This weekend’s BAFTAs were a spectacle of cinema & fashion, but the celebration didn’t stop there as the after parties were all about glam, sparkle, & drama. Stars of the night hit the party scene with a strategic & fashionable wardrobe change in jaw-dropping & sleek looks. Red Carpet Review: All The Sparkles from the Dazzling 2023 BAFTAs, Including Florence Pugh, Lily James, & More!


Tonight’s BAFTAs were a star-studded affair, honoring not only Britain’s best performers & filmmakers from the past year, but Hollywood’s most buzzed about stars dressed to the nines. Some of my favorites of the night include the always transfixing Florence Pugh in a tangerine dream by Nina Ricci, a sparkling Lily James continuing her sultry streak in Tamara Ralph, actress Jodie Turner-Smith in a shimmering feathered gown by Gucci, Tár winner Cate Blanchett rewearing her vintage Margiela column gown, The Menu’s Anya Taylor-Joy in a velvet Schiaparelli Haute Couture, as well as The Woman King star Viola Davis in a violet Stella McCartney ensemble & Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s Angela Bassett following the purple trend in a lavender Pamella Roland halter gown.

Additionally, gloves continue to be a major red carpet trend, as seen on Princess Catherine, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, & Shiela Artim. Also, there was a frenzy of Louis Vuitton-clad stars, including Blonde nominee Ana de Armas, Cynthia Erivo, Hoyeon Jung, & Sophie Turner.

Not to mention, sleek & elegant tuxedo separates were donned by Everything Everywhere All at Once lead Michelle Yeoh in blush Dior, Jamie Lee Curtis in velvet & white, & Good Luck to You, Leo Grande nominee Emma Thompson in head-to-toe cream.

I’m not usually one to rush time away, especially in the face of the holidays, but the holiday spirit has its hold on me & I can’t stop thinking about sparkle, glamour, & elegance this season. With that in mind, I’ve been ooh-ing & aah-ing at all the latest celebrity looks that have hit the red carpet because there are so many beautiful designs, recalling Old Hollywood decadence & inspiring me to get a little extra glam every day when it comes to lace, sequins, jewel tones, & drama.

The Voice coach Gwen Stefani hit the red carpet for the 2015 Baby2Baby Gala in a black one-shoulder floral dress by Marchesa with jewelry by Nigaam, EFFY Jewelry, & Norman Silverman, with Rene Caovilla pumps. Last night’s #MetGala at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art honored Asian-inspired fashion with Anna Wintours latest exhibition, China: Through the Looking Glass. In attendance were top A-listers from the realms of fashion, music, Hollywood, & more, wowing on the red carpet & showing support for the art of fashion. Some of the greatest risk takers of the night included Rihanna in a stunning  over-the-top gold design by Guo Pei, Beyoncé‘s barely there shimmering gown by Givenchy, Jennifer Lopez who showed off her best assets in a Versace design, Sarah Jessica Parker‘s collaboration with H&M & a masterfully crafted Philip Treacy headpiece, the always elegant Kerry Washington in a pink Prada confection, & Anne Hathaway‘s futuristic & sleek hooded gold gown by Ralph Lauren.

Also, there were plenty of newcomers who made an impact, including many Orange is the New Black winners like Uzo Aduba (in Angel Sanchez) & Danielle Brooks (in Christian Siriano), as well as Game of ThronesMaisie Williams (in Self-Portrait).

Some of my favorites of the night included The Imitation Game nominee Keira Knightley (in Erdem), Wild‘s Reese Witherspoon (in Atelier Versace), model & wife, Camila Alves McConauhey (in Donna Karan), designer darling Emmy Rossum (in Armani Prive), Modern Family‘s rising star Sarah Hyland (in Vera Wang), St. Vincent nominee Naomi Watts (in Balenciaga), How to Get Away with Murder winner Viola Davis (in Max Mara), & this season’s golden girl, Still Alice winner, Julianne Moore (in Givenchy).

Now the official countdown to the Academy Awards can begin, which takes place on Sunday February 22nd, sure to wow & inspire more amazing style. Who wore your favorite look? It’s been a while since I posted a runway gallery, & what better day to celebrate the fabulous styles of Fall 2012 Haute Couture than by featuring the latest collection from Chanel.  If you didn’t already know, August 19th marks the 129th birthday of designer Coco Chanel.
