Monday night’s Met Gala celebration is still a hot topic of fashion, beauty, pop culture, & so much more so many days later. It’s not wonder since the stars brought out all the stops with their couture, glamour, & playfulness. Let’s take a closer look at some of the cream carpet’s most delectable jewelry & astounding beauty tricks to highlight the night’s theme, Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty. Some of my favorites include Anne Hathaway‘s bouffant, Jessica Chastain‘s platinum look, Dua Lipa‘s stunning necklace, Sydney Sweeney‘s bombshell aesthetic, Amanda Seyfried‘s 70’s curls, Lizzo‘s pearls, Florence Pugh‘s shaved head & headpiece, & Doja Cat‘s feline-inspiration!
Aside from the Academy Awards & Golden Globe Awards, one of fashion’s biggest nights is the Costume Institute’s Met Gala. This year, the celebration’s theme honors the late Karl Lagerfeld with Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty. The images & details are still rolling in, but the stars pulled out all the stops in Chanel, Versace, Michael Kors, Valentino, Chloe, Thom Browne. Fendi, Schiaparelli, & more to pay homage to Lagerfeld’s edgy glamour & legacy in fashion. Check out the gallery below for all of the highlights, including plenty of style risks, breathtaking gowns, sleek silhouettes, & so much more!
Last night’s 2022 CFDA Fashion Awards celebrated the fashion industry’s giants with bold, maximalist styles on the red carpet. During the ceremony, rock star Lenny Kravitz was fittingly awards Fashion Icon, while stylist Law Roach was honored with the Stylist prize—makes sense given he’s behind everything gorgeous that Zendaya wears.
The internet is still a-flutter with style & beauty inspiration from this week’s 74th Emmy Awards, where the stars sparkled from head to toe in the most fashionable & elegant gowns. However, the jewelry selections & beauty choices stole the spotlights on the red carpet & stage. Decked out in the expensive, luxury duds, A-listers went all out with statement earrings, bright baubles, timeless bracelets, & fierce rings, along with classic updos & breezy tresses. Take a look through the gallery below for a closet view of celebrity’s jewels & bobs from the night:
As summer comes to an end, one upside to look forward to (aside from the pumpkin spice latte craze) is that awards season is just around the corner. This year’s Emmy nominations for the most groundbreaking & entertaining performances on television (networks, cable, & streaming) were announced last month, inciting shock over snubs & much debate about the worthiest of nominees. However, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan earns her 5th, & well-deserved Emmy nomination (garnering 1 win in 2018 for the show’s debut season), 4 of which are for her portrayal of the lovable, frustrating, hilarious, & stylish Midge Maisel as a struggling comic & divorcee in the 1950s-60s.
At a recent Emmy FYE event, Rachel was photographed nailing a combination of trends, paying homage to the 90s with wide-leg pants, a crop top, & a peace sign pose (#girlpower). More specifically, the look included a long twill jacket (shop here), orange cropped tank (shop here), & bold parrot-printed jeans (shop here) by designer Loewe. That comes to over $4,000 with the 3 pieces & you can’t really even tell what kind of shoes she’s wearing, but let’s just assume for the fun of it that the $850 matching parrot mules (shop here) by Loewe are hiding underneath the voluminous bottoms.
In true Style Darling Daily fashion, you don’t have the break the bank to revive Rachel’s look in your own way, coordinating similarly shaped & colored separates to hearken back to the 1990s & make this yours. Check out the suggestions below for any combination of colors that appeals to your personal aesthetic:
SHOP:The Drop Blake long blazer @Amazon ($69.00, available in sizes XXS-5X) in black, ivory, rose pink, coffee bean (as well as desert sage, lilac marble, & praline).
SHOP: fitted ultra-cropped rib-knit tank top @Old Navy (on sale: $5.97, available in sizes XS-4X) in white lilies, cosmic rouge, sun worship, Mediterranean Sea (as well as iced peach, cochineal, date palm, watercolor, & dried herb).
I won’t even transition into it. If you haven’t seen The Marvelous Mrs. Maiselyet, you have to–you just have to! The Amazon Prime program is currently the most buzzed about comedy (having recently earned a slew of Emmy Awards this fall too), starring the dazzling Rachel Brosnahan as the title character, Midge Maisel. Not only is she an empowering & intelligent character, she’s hysterical (as an up and coming comedienne) & oh so stylish. Much can be said about how character’s fashion choices embody the 1950s era where women were meant to stay at home rearing the children & appear flawless like trophies; however, the show’s costume designer Donna Zakowski presents a character that’s not only interesting to watch, but to look at as well–from the point of view of a fashionista. The matchy-matchiness is true to the times, but Midge’s wardrobe shines on screen because of her fit, color, (Zakowski’s masterful selection of accessories (like an elegant pearl necklace, chic pair of gloves, or bold bauble).
Click through the gallery for at least 20 stylish reasons (between seasons 1 & 2) why The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is the most fashionable & must-see show on the air right now!

Tonight’s Emmy awards are already causing a buzz all over the internet, especially among fashion bloggers everywhere. I have nothing but love to show for all the female nominees & presenters on the red carpet. At the end of the day, it’s all about positively celebrating today’s most talented women. However, when it comes to fashion, there’s a legacy about the red carpet & seeing high-end couture & designers’ visions come to life on some of our favorite stars.
