SHOP NOW!: A Versatile Velvet Shell for 60% Off!

My go-to uniform for any work or special occasion day includes a blouse & cardigan. The duo works for my aesthetic when mixing prints & solids with luxe fashion jewelry & accessories. Even though spring is right around the corner, I’m soaking up these chilly must-wear-velvet months as much as I possibly can, loving all of the end-of-the-season deals, especially this top:

SHOP: velvet double-v shell in black, silver grey, & deepest fig berry @LOFT (final sale: $39.88, extra 70% off with code: FRESH, available in sizes XS-XXL).

I bought the silver gray, which I haven’t worn yet, but I’m imagining it paired with a jeweled cardigan & houndstooth trousers, a blazer & dark denim jeans, or a flyaway cardigan & midi skirt with a textured belt. I also have my eye on the black & berry hues to add to my holiday rotation next year!

Which shell do you like best? How often have you been wearing velvet? Where are you shopping for the best final sale deals? SHOP NOW!: Time & Tru Eyelet Dress + Earring Combinations!

As spring is just around the corner–hopefully–spring is definitely hitting stores & I can’t wait for lighter layers, bright hues, & dangly earrings, which is pretty much my warm weather wardrobe! The must-have staple for spring is an eyelet dress, which can be dressed up down, depending on where you’re headed. One classic cut dress with a flattering scallop detail at the sleeves & hem can be found by Time & Tru at Walmart:

SHOP: Time & Tru short sleeve eyelet dress in black soot, emerald bliss, vivid white, & lunar yellow @Walmart ($23.98, available in sizes XS-XXXL).

Aren’t these colors gorgeous?! Of course, I do wish for a magenta or bright purple too, but I’m pleased that this selection is offered in such a wide range of sizes as it is flattering, feminine, & stylish for every body type. I’d love to add a belt, denim jacket, & wedges before heading out the door for a sunny day in the village, joining the family for some festivities, or to work with a cardigan!

Also, with great dresses comes great accessories from Time & Tru:

SHOP: Time & Tru silver leaf filigree earrings, mixed metal hammered teardrop earrings, textured leaf drop earrings, & gold leaf drop earring @Walmart ($3.88 each).

Here’s how I would pair them up! What do you think?

Which dress color if your favorite? How would you style the dress? Do you often wear drop earrings? For more stylish posts, check out: 50% off stilettos from Express, short-sleeve pajama sets by Joyspun, cable knit sweaters for under $15, & stylish mule slides from Target! Happy Styling!

Show Me the Shoes: 50% Off Must-Have Pumps!

I love a sleek stiletto pump! I love a pump with unique detail that offers more interest & luxury to any outfit. I love a pump in an unexpected color. I love a point toe. However, I haven’t been wearing pumps much since early in the pandemic, even though I have purchased my fair over the last year. Speaking of pumps…

SHOP: Express X Simon Spurr pumps in pitch black, stone, & electric blue @Express (on sale: $44.00, available in sizes 5-10).

I’m crazy about this electric blue, though I wish it was also made in the same croc embossed texture as the black & white options. Additionally, a wide width alternative would be helpful, as well as other neutral colors, like tan, gray, & navy to wear with a sheath dress & blazer outfit, bow-neck blouse & pencil skirt look, & jogger jumpsuit ensemble.

Which color do you like the best? Do you love to strut in stiletto pumps like these? How often do you wear embossed footwear? For more stylish posts, check out: pajama sets for under $19, final sale on sequin star cardigans from LOFT, & Time & Tru pastel sweaters! Happy Styling!

SHOP NOW!: Short-Sleeve Pajama Sets for Under $19!

It’s a slow, gray winter here on Long Island, but there have been plenty of cozy days & dreams of warmer weather. As I’ve had some down time to organize dressers, closets, & cabinets, I’ve been preparing for those warmer weather days, assessing wardrobe staples that I have & want to keep, what to donate, & what to get. Perhaps adulthood has instilled a much more regimented preparation of sleepwear, or that I’m so impressed by the ease my toddler daughter’s matching pajama sets, but I love to wear a set & have struggled to find a lightweight short-sleeve & cropped pant set to my liking…until now!

SHOP: Joyspun jewel neck flutter sleeve pajama set in 8 colors / patterns @Walmart ($18.98, available in sizes S-3XL).

I was immediately drawn to the leopard print & black with kisses sets, which are already stored for warmer months. Of course, there are so many pajama styles, including button-down tops or drawstring shorts, but I’ve always been looking for something soft without any buttons & something that colors my legs while sleeping. I’m really excited to break these out on a summer vacation or when hanging around the house for a lazy Saturday morning having pancakes with the family & cuddling up for cartoons. The material is very lightweight & I’m so pleased with the size inclusivity for the variety of colors & patterns. Joyspun has done it again!

Which set do you like the best? What’s your ideal pajama style? Do you often wear sets? For more stylish posts, check out: sequin sweaters & velvet leggings, pastel sweaters for under $18, & braided mules from Target in 12 colors! Happy Styling!

SHOP NOW!: Cable Knit Sweaters for Under $15!

This sweater season has been one for the books! I love styling a cozy pullover sweater for a movie date night, a day at work, or for weekend errands! A cable knit detail is classic, but a modern take on cable knit is much more fun & stylish. In fact, my look for today, thanks in part to Instagram & Facebook votes, features a new cable knit sweater with past season windowpane pants & tweed buckle flats (see post here).

SHOP: Time & Tru mixed stitch sweater in apple juice, brilliant red, medium grey heather, winter white, & green chili @Walmart (on sale: $14.98, limited availability in sizes XS-2XL).

Here’s how I styled mine:

The texture of these sweaters coordinates well with a variety of textures for bottoms, including houndstooth, Buffalo plaid, polka dots, pinstripes, lace, jacquard, faux leather, or denim. How would you style these sweaters? Which color is your favorite? Where are you shopping for the best deals? For more stylish posts, check out: sequin star cardigans & faux leather leggings at LOFT, pastel pullovers for under $18, & staple denim jackets in 4 washes! Happy Styling!

SHOP NOW!: LOFT’s Final Sale on Sequin Star Cardigans & Faux Leather Leggings!

Even though the holidays are over & everything is all hearts now for Valentine’s Day, I’m a sucker for sparkle & even stars on sweaters. Also, plenty of stores are bursting with spring-ready items, which means that there’s still prime time to get a great deal on final sale pieces, especially neutral cardigans that will jazz up any look.

SHOP: star sequin v-neck sweater in beige melange & charcoal @LOFT (on sale: $59.88, extra 60% off with code: LOVE, limited availability in sizes XS-XXL). After the code, they come out to under $24!

I have both of these & can’t wait to pair them with my printed trousers, in windowpane or houndstooth, along with brighter contrasting pieces in red, purple, or magenta. Since cardigans—especially sparkly ones—are my ultimate style weakness, I can’t wait to wear these over & over again, maybe even on date night with a metallic shell & faux leather leggings, like these:

SHOP: faux leather leggings in black & olive @LOFT (on sale: $59.99, extra 60% off with code: LOVE, limited availability in sizes XS-XXL). After the code, they come out to $24 before sales tax!

How would you style the cardigans? How often do you wear sequins? Which colors are you loving? For more stylish posts, check out: pastel Time & Tru sweaters for under $18, braided slide mules from Target, & the spring dress you’ll want in every color! Happy Styling!

SHOP NOW!: Pastel Sweaters for Under $18!

It’s still sweater season & when retailers start rolling out styles in spring colors, it’s time to click add-to-cart! The latest from Time & Tru that I can’t stop thinking about have got me inspired to pair with relaxed light denim jeans & sneakers for a weekend of errands, beige trousers & ballet flats for a day at work, a pleated midi skirt & high heels for a special occasion, or leggings & slippers for a cozy day around the house.

SHOP: Time & Tru long sleeve lightweight fashion sweater in lilac sky cheetah, pink coral cheetah, blue ash stripe, & faded rose stripe @Walmart (on sale: $16.98, available in sizes XS-XXXL).

SHOP: Time & Tru patchwork sweater in blue ash, orchid dream, peach margarita, & winter white @Walmart ($17.98, available in sizes XS-XXXL).

SHOP: Time & Tru elbow sleeve polo sweater in lilac bud, almond, mauve glow, & black soot @Walmart ($16.98, available in sizes XS-XXXL).

Which style sweater is your favorite? Do you like these warm & cool colors? Would you wear the cheetah print, stripes, or patchwork? Show Me the Shoes: Braided Mules for Spring in 12 Colors!

The 2020s have seen a major shift in style, especially concerning footwear as 90s & early 2000s trends are slowly creeping back. While a stiletto heel is classic, block heels have returned & we’ll be seeing them in the spring. Additionally, open slides with braiding details will be trendy once again, & why shouldn’t they be? The mule style is easy to slide on & when it comes in multiple colors, the stylish possibilities are endless.

SHOP: A New Day Basil mule heels in 12 colors @Target ($19.24-$34.99, available in sizes 5-12 in medium & wide width).

Personally, I’m a big fan of the neutral/white mix, as well as both metallic gold & silver options. I envision them with a maxi dress, drop earrings, & floral wristlet for a summer date night or family party.

Additionally, nearly every major shoe retailer has some version of these mules, as well as ankle booties & flats, for the various seasons, mostly because the braiding detail is timeless & offers a cushion around the foot. Which color do you like best? Do you prefer a chunky heel or something slimmer? How would you style this shoe? For more stylish posts, check out: a must-have sequin sweater & leggings outfit, classic denim jackets in 4 washes by Time & Tru, & spring ballet dresses in sizes XS-4X! Happy Styling!

Inside a Style Blogger’s Closet: Sequins on Sweaters & Velvet on Leggings—These are a Few of My Favorite Things!

Every Sunday night, I try to take an hour or so to outfit prep, as stated in a previous post from September. When one planned outfit didn’t quite work out this week, I had to switch things up in a pinch, so that I could still get myself ready, get my daughter up & ready & arrive at work on time. This was the original planned outfit, but the pants were noticeably too short for a 30-degree winter day on Long Island & I wasn’t about to dig out my boots from another part of the house.

Then, upon changing up the clothing & keeping the accessories, this is what I ended up wearing:

Eventually, I realized that the sweater & leggings are newer pieces that I recently purchased & they’re still available to shop for. I’ll definitely be wearing these pieces (in different ways) throughout the season as the sweater is so versatile in terms of styling & color matching & the leggings can be dressed up or down with a tunic or hoodie & paired with boots, heels, or sneakers.

multicolored sequin v-neck sweater in ivory/gold & silver heather grey @LOFT (on sale $49.99, extra 50% off with code: 24HRS, limited availability in sizes XS-L).

Time & Tru velvet leggings in rose wine & olive dusk @Walmart ($14.98, available in sizes XS-3XL).

I already have the silver sweater, but I do have my eye on the olive leggings, especially since the velvet stripe down the side adds such a dressy & luxurious touch to any stylish and/or sporty outfit.

What’s your routine for getting ready for the work week? Do you prep outfits ahead of time? What does your weekly work style consist of? For more stylish posts, check out: affordable staple denim jackets by Time & Tru, pretty ballet dresses from Target in 5 colors, faux leather pull-on pants from LOFT, & stylish bracelets from Macy’s for Valentine’s Day! SHOP NOW!: A Staple Denim Jacket in 4 Washes for Under $20!

I mean, the headline says it all! All spring, summer, & early fall, my go-to outerwear item, if needed, is a denim jacket. I’ve had the same dark denim one for Dressbarn (similar here) for years & I’ve found doppelgängers in other washes that I’ve added to my rotation. I love contrasting something sparkly or printed with a neutral denim, especially since my everyday bottoms range in pattern or texture. What’s better is that today’s featured item is made in 4 washes, (mostly) available in a wide range of sizes, & is currently under $20!

SHOP: Time & Tru denim jacket in black, medium wash, brown (really the dark denim on the bottom left), & light wash @Walmart (on sale: $19.99, limited availability in sizes XS-XXXL).

I spotted them recently in stores, too, & the denim washes differ in person than they do when ordering online or through the Walmart app; however, my local store is full of denim jackets, so if you don’t have one just yet, you know where to find them!

How would you style a denim jacket? Do you have one already that you love? Which wash did you prefer most? For more stylish posts, check out: the spring dress you’ll want in every color, faux leather pull-on pants from LOFT, & Valentine’s bracelet gift ideas! Happy Styling!

SHOP NOW!: The Spring Dress You’ll Want in Every Color!

Currently, I’m never thinking about springtime until I log on to social media & see Style Darlings across the country, especially those in warmer locations, donning lightweight floral-printed tops, dresses, or pants. However, retailers are ready for pastels & preparing shoppers for Spring Break!

All late spring & summer long, I’m wearing a dress! It’s one piece & great for casual or dressy occasions, depending on how it’s styled. I love being able to share a dress that not only comes in several different colors, but is an inclusive option for all sizes! Case in point:

SHOP: A New Day sleeveless ballet dress in black, green, dark blue, pink, & taupe @Target ($28.00, available in sizes XS-4X).

I’m especially excited about the green dress, as it is my favorite color, but I can picture any of these styled with a cardigan & ballet flats for work, a denim jacket & slides for weekend, or a metallic shawl & strappy wedges for date night. The flattering fit & flare silhouette combined with the midi length makes for a classic dress option that’ll make for a fashionable spring season.

How would you style this dress? What color do you like best? Are you already refreshing your spring wardrobe? For more stylish posts, check out: faux leather pull-on pants on sale now, classic & stylish bracelets for a Valentine’s gift, & cozy sweaters with a spring twist! Happy Styling!

SHOP NOW!: Faux Leather Pull-On Pants from LOFT!

If there’s any kind of pant that I love, it’s a pull-on pair, especially after experiencing the changes in my body after having my daughter. Since last fall, I’ve been searching for pull-on styles in all different materials & patterns to alternate throughout the changing seasons. However, winter styles are currently hitting the clearance racks & spring is bursting through retailers’ doors!

SHOP: faux leather pull-on slim pants in black, rich aubergine, & lustrous olive @LOFT (on sale: $59.99, 70% off 3 styles with code: YAY, limited availability in sizes XS-XXL).

Loving these velvet pants from LOFT that seem to be in the same cut & a similar color scheme, I’m all about the faux leather option, but unfortunately, the black—which is what I’d experiment with—is no longer available in my size. I say “experiment” because I’m usually warm at work, giving a lecture or running from classroom to office, so I’d be reluctant to order the other colors if I couldn’t quite commit—but they sure are cute!

How would you style these pants? Which color do you like the best? Are you shopping end-of-the-season deals right now? For more stylish posts, check out: classic bracelets for Valentine’s Day gifts, cozy Time & Tru sweaters with a spring twist, & puffer coats for under $13! Happy Styling!

Accessories Access: Classic & Stylish Bracelets for Valentine’s Day!

I’m always on the lookout for dazzling baubles to add to my collection or recommend to readers & that includes classic pieces that can be worn for a day at the office or special occasion. Obviously, I love accessories that come in a variety of colors too, which brings me to today’s selection:

SHOP: Charter Club pavé & imitation pearl slide bracelet in tri-tone, gold, navy, pearl, rose, & red @Macy’s (on sale: $14.70).

Personally, I love mixed metals & rose gold, but I’m drawn to the red & navy options to pair with a blouse & pencil skirt with a cardigan & heels for work. For the discounted price, why not?

How would you style this bracelet? Which color do you like the best? Are you shopping for fashion jewelry for Valentine’s Day? Red Carpet Review: Breathtaking & Bold Beauty, Hair, & Jewelry at the Critics Choice Awards, Including Julia Garner, Madelyn Cline, Kerry Washington, & More!

Last night’s Critics Choice Awards might’ve thrown cinephiles for a loop with the Oscar race, but the red carpet game was a head-to-toe win after win with stunning beauty, hair, & jewelry on the most acclaimed celebrities. Some of my favorites include Sadie Sinks gentle waves, Madelyn Cline’s side part & statement earrings, Lily James’ bangs & winged eyes, Kerry Washington’s lush curls & drop earrings, Janelle Monae’s modern earrings & glossy lips, Niecy Nash-Betts’ EVERYTHING, & Cate Blanchett’s golden ‘do & earcuff. SHOP NOW!: Cozy Sweaters with a Spring Twist!

Of course, sweaters come in all shapes, patterns, & colors; we know they’re not exclusive to winter, but they’re definitely a go-to this season. If you’re looking for a sweater that seems to whisper springtime in that stylishly playful way that pastels do, check this out:

SHOP: Time & Tru long sleeve crewneck embroidery sweater in winter white & dark navy @Walmart ($22.98, available in sizes XS-XXL).

As much as the love the lightness of the white with the pink & blue details, I’ve got my eye on the navy to wear with various menswear-inspired navy trousers this season, especially as the spring semester is just around the corner. Either sweater can be styled with pants, jeans of all rises & cuts, as well as joggers or leggings.

How would you style this sweater? Would you dress it up or wear it casually? Do you prefer the white or the navy? SHOP NOW!: Classic Leopard Pullover Sweaters!

If you’ve been following my Instagram (@styledarlingdaily), I’ve been passionate observing Leopard Week, which is really a self-appointed theme for my wardrobe this week. However, most weeks, for me, include at least 1 leopard piece. If the lockdown during the pandemic taught me anything, it’s that leopard makes everything better. For today’s post, I’m sharing a trio of leopard print sweaters that combine the wild, vivacious print with a classic pullover style & chic buttons to pair with a professional, casual, & short look, depending on how you style it.

SHOP: JM Collection crewneck pullover sweater in red combo, northern lights, & new fawn @Macy’s ($49.50, available in sizes XS-XXL).

I’m a big fan of the blue since I already have plenty of neutral & red leopard pieces, but the blue really pops, especially against luxe materials that could work for bottoms. The following pieces can be mixed & matched with any of these sweaters, depending on where you’re headed & what your style is.

SHOP: high-waisted straight faux-leather ankle pants in black @Old Navy ($54.99, limited availability in sizes 00-30), high-waisted split-front pixie skinny pants in black @Old Navy (on sale: $25.00, available in sizes 0-30), & high-waisted denim straight-leg pant in navy @New York & Company (on sale: $47.97, available in sizes 2-20).

SHOP: Wild Fable leather moto mini skirt in black @Target (on sale: $18.70, available in sizes 00-26) & Grace Karin slim fit business pencil skirt in red @Amazon ($27.99, available in sizes S-XXL).

Which leopard sweater do you like the best? How would you style it? How frequently do you wear leopard? For more stylish posts, check out: Valentine’s style & accessories, versatile earrings sets from LOFT, & a houndstooth wrap for under $25! Happy Styling!

The Stylish Five: Lovely Valentine’s Pieces!

It still only feels like yesterday when I was toasting away to the New Year’s Eve ball dropping in Times Square (from the comfort of my living room couch), but onward & upward into 2023 we go! Looking ahead this winter, we’re in the midst of a lovely, heart-filled Valentine’s Day hype & retailers are hopping on board with everything from home decor to dresses, tops, skirts, & pants, to accessories, such as shoes, totes, jewelry, & more, all adorned with hearts or messages of love. The thing about Valentine’s Day this year is to most importantly love yourself first & it’s never a bad idea to invest in pieces that make you feel just as sparkly or joyful as you already are! Here are 5 stylish pieces that I can’t stop thinking about, which means that it must be love!

SHOP: heart stud earring set @LOFT ($42.00, 30% off with code: TREAT).

SHOP: I.N.C. International Concepts multicolor pavé LOVE slider bracelet @Macy’s ($29.50).

Red Carpet Review: The Best Beauty, Hair, & Jewelry from the 2023 Golden Globe Awards, Including Jenna Ortega, Selena Gomez, Anya Taylor-Joy, & More!

I don’t know about you, but I haven’t stopped my standing ovation for Angela Bassett–not only for her history-making win for Best Supporting Actress in Any Motion Picture for her outstanding role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever at last night’s 80th Golden Globe Awards, but for her entire head-to-toe look. As soon as I saw her silver glistening Pamella Roland halter gown, I said, “That’s a winner’s dress,” & was right! Her Old Hollywood-inspired bob & gorgeous jewels made for a momentous night for both film & fashion, along with that of her stunning colleagues in the industry.

From shimmering cosmetics to fluffy lashes, sculpted hairstyles to flowing locks, & statement earrings to layered necklaces, the stars celebrated the night in the most stylish & sparkly way they know how. Some of my other favorites for the night included Margot Robbie, Lily James, Quinta Brunson, Jessica Chastain, Selena Gomez, & Sheryl Lee Ralph!

Fashion Flashback: The Memorable Short Dress & Pants Looks of the Golden Globes!

While I’m a major fan of the glorious ballgown on a red carpet, I’m always fascinated to study the non-traditional choices, which are becoming more & more the norm, including short dresses & pants / jumpsuits / tuxedos on female attendees. There are so many lists & galleries on social media & the internet recalling the best Golden Globe looks of all time, as well as the most extreme. However, let’s take some time to review the non-traditional, which are likely to appear on tonight’s red carpet for the highly-anticipated return of the controversial awards ceremony.

From mini to midi dresses, the red carpet is no stranger to short designs with some sparkle, structure, or volume, especially when making an elegant, playful style statement:

Gal Gadot, Jennifer Lopez, Reese Witherspoon, & Joey King in short dresses at the Golden Globes.
Reese Witherspoon, Kristen Wiig, Katharine McPhee, & Sarah Jessica Parker in short dresses at the Golden Globes.
Julianna Margulies, Heidi Klum, & Sarah Jessica Parker in short dresses at the Golden Globes.
Millie Bobby Brown, Elisabeth Moss, Halle Berry, & Sarah Jessica Parker in short dresses at the Golden Globes.

Pants looks come in all forms, on a deconstructed tuxedo, jumpsuit, & suit, imitating the dress look, but also playing with cut-outs, adornments, separates, & proportions. Black is the most popular option with a pants look, as seen below:

Maggie Gyllenhaal, Susan Kelechi Watson, & Laura Dern in pants at the Golden Globes.
Jennifer Aniston & Kyra Sedgwick in pants at the Golden Globes.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Taylor Schilling, Kathryn Hahn, Amy Poehler, & Octavia Spencer in pants at the Golden Globes.
Claire Foy, Lorde, Debra Messing, & Alison Brie in pants at the Golden Globes.
Rita Morena, Portia de Rossie, Judy Greer, & Evan Rachel Wood in pants at the Golden Globes.
Jeannie Mai, Jane Fonda, Elsie Fisher, & Sibley Scoles in pants at the Golden Globes.
Emma Watson in pants at the Golden Globes.
Julia Roberts, Emma Stone, Gwyneth Paltrow, & Alexis Bledel in pants at the Golden Globes.

Who wore your favorite skirt look? Do you think a mini dress is appropriate for such an event? What about the jumpsuits & tuxedos? Who pulled it off the best, in your opinion? Stay tuned for more Golden Globes updates to catch up on all the latest fashion & highlights from the night! Accessories Access: Stylish Earrings Sets in Gold & Silver!

It’s a very rare occasion that I’m actually stuck with no idea what to wear, despite my plethora of options. When it comes to jewelry, I usually decide on the finer details the morning I am getting ready, especially for the work day ahead. Also, I have 5 piercings in each of my ears, which I fill every single “leaving the house” day & my collection continues to grow & sparkle. While I do love a long, dangly drop earring for a more dramatic look, my go-to for all 5 piercings is a stud. I love finding different stud sets so that the options coordinate together, but I also love mixing up new picks with some old favorites. For example:

SHOP: shooting star stud earring set in gold & silver @LOFT (on sale: $22.50 with code: TREAT).

What kind of earrings do you like to wear? Do you have multiple piercings that you style regularly? Where do you shop for the prettiest sparkles?
