About this time last year, I posted about cozy tunic tops by Time & True @Walmart & here we are again! However, the newest run of these soft, luxe, & comfortable tops includes some new colors & a high school neck. I prefer this cut much more than the v-neck, even though I’ve worn mine plenty during the colder months.
These can be styled in a variety of ways, including with lightwash jeans & layered necklaces, as well as with a statement necklace & faux leather leggings. How would you style this top? Which color do you like the best? How often do you wear tunic tops? For more stylish posts, check out: new fall cardigans from Old Navy, inclusive skirt sets for fall, & chic mixed media hoodies! Recently, my sneaker collection has slowly expanded, especially since I love a subtle & casual footwear options for running errands or heading to the park with the family. I’m all about the comfortable, no fuss, & neutral style of a sneaker to keep me going when out & about.
The frayed & distressed look sets these apart from other sneakers, along with the fact that they’re a pull-on, instead of needing to be tied with laces. The texture is perfect for any casual look & time of the year. How would you style these sneakers? Which color do you like best? Where do you ship for casual footwear? As the casual days of fall are approaching, so are the fabulous fall colors that can be worn for any kind of outfit, especially loungewear. If you’re like me & you have an “around the house” / “off duty” wardrobe, then you’ll love the comfort & versatility in these tops below!
I love the idea of pairing this cozy top with velvet leggings on a chilly fall Sunday, a puffer jacket & jeans when heading out pumpkin picking, or with faux leather pants & ankle boots to dress up this oversized piece. I’ll tell you, Time & Tru never fails when it comes to comfy clothing as most of my “off-duty” pieces are from this brand. I’m especially loving this option to mix with my patterned leggings for some playful & stylish looks when baking with my daughter or heading to the store.
As of late, hoodies have been evolving & why shouldn’t they? Loungewear & athleisure are becoming more & more popular, thanks to The ‘Gram, & major retailers are getting on board with this trend.
As I look ahead on my calendar to cooler days ahead–not to wish the rest of the summer away–my family is planning to attend fall festivals & go pumpkin picking. A stylish hoodie like this is perfect for those occasions, not to mention when wanting to look cute running out & about on the weekends.
In the summer, a tank top is a versatile must-have. It’s always a good idea to maintain an array of colors to mix & match with bottoms, like shorts in a variety of materials, skirts of all lengths, & pants in any color or pattern, & jeans. This option, under $5, also has a rib texture & snug fit for when you want to show off your curves or contrast flowy bottoms.
I have quite a few of these to wear to bed, but also with wide leg tropical pants, linen shorts, or midi skirts. these have a 5-star rating & the color variety is so fun. How would you style these tanks? Which color is your favorite? Where are you shopping for summer essentials? Barbie is everywhere these days & why shouldn’t she be? With the new Greta Gerwig-directed film about to hit theaters nationwide, it is a Barbie world! While we can’t all done look-alike dresses from the beloved doll, like Margot Robbie flawlessly does at major red carpet events, we can celebrate the style icon by Mattel with some affordable & inclusive gear that can be dressed up or down for any occasion, including when going to see the highly anticipated film that also stars Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera, Issa Rae, Kate McKinnon, & more!
Summer is the season of slides & flats, especially neutral & colorful pops to coordinate with any outfit. As you make more & more summer plans, staying comfortable in a low slide that can be styled many different ways is essential!
The tortoise detail on the buckle is by far my favorite part of these slides; however, the fabric also dresses them up for not only a fun weekend getaway, but also for a casual Friday at the office. I’m super excited that these sandals are currently marked down & might just get myself a pink pair! How would you style these flats? Which color do you like best? How often do you opt for slides? Once of my favorite parts about this time of year is shedding the layers & heavy fabrics of the cooler months & embracing the light, flowy joy of cotton, along with the breezy & feminine texture of eyelet. Whether it’s a dress, skirt, embellishment on a shoe or pursue, I love an eyelet detail because it adds a little something special & classic to any look! Recently, Walmart‘s Time & Tru brand has included eyelet touches on some versatile staple items that are not only affordable, but also easy to style for a variety of occasions.
I love that both of these options, available in a variety of colors, can be styled with denim, linen, joggers, or leggings for shoppers in sizes XS-3XL! These are great to pair with an open cardigan & ankle pants for day & then mix it up on the weekend with cuffed jeans & tennis shoes.
I’ve really been obsessed with plaids lately, probably because I don’t wear them as much once spring comes around. I do love a mix of plaids with florals or abstract prints when coordinating color schemes. A classic windowpane print, especially in navy, not only presents opportunity for print mixing, but also to play up other fun colors in your wardrobe.
These fit so nicely & I can’t wait to wear them with a polka dot top & cardigan outfit, as well as with bright colors, like fuchsia, chartreuse, orange, & lavender. Navy is such a major neutral, & the wearing it in these capris will make for a special look for the work day or weekend.
The must-have markdown of the season is here! I love a pullover that can go from dressy to casual with the switch out of jeans & sneakers to faux leather leggings & a statement necklace. This is especially the case for a top with statement sleeves that’s worth it to have in every color!
Originally, I ordered the white because the item is referred to as a sweatshirt; however, this is a thin, stretchy pullover material & it was very sheer. Not wanting to layer, I’m returning it, but very much looking forward to the navy & magenta options. The price is just too good to be true & I wish my size was available in more colors. I guess that’s just how it goes with end of the season clearance items!
It’s still sweater season & when retailers start rolling out styles in spring colors, it’s time to click add-to-cart! The latest from Time & Tru that I can’t stop thinking about have got me inspired to pair with relaxed light denim jeans & sneakers for a weekend of errands, beige trousers & ballet flats for a day at work, a pleated midi skirt & high heels for a special occasion, or leggings & slippers for a cozy day around the house.
I mean, the headline says it all! All spring, summer, & early fall, my go-to outerwear item, if needed, is a denim jacket. I’ve had the same dark denim one for Dressbarn (similar here) for years & I’ve found doppelgängers in other washes that I’ve added to my rotation. I love contrasting something sparkly or printed with a neutral denim, especially since my everyday bottoms range in pattern or texture. What’s better is that today’s featured item is made in 4 washes, (mostly) available in a wide range of sizes, & is currently under $20!
SHOP: Time & Tru denim jacket in black, medium wash, brown (really the dark denim on the bottom left), & light wash @Walmart (on sale: $19.99, limited availability in sizes XS-XXXL).
I spotted them recently in stores, too, & the denim washes differ in person than they do when ordering online or through the Walmart app; however, my local store is full of denim jackets, so if you don’t have one just yet, you know where to find them!
When it comes to fabrics & patterns, I have a set of what I like that suits my style. Not included in that is anything leather or faux leather, besides belts or shoes. A faux leather detail on a pant or top isn’t unheard-of for me, but a whole piece in it makes me fearful of overheating in the office, classroom, or during a special occasion. However, one affordable faux leather dress has me inspired & rethinking my whole point of view on the material.
Scoop’s faux leather pleated strapless midi dress in black, olive, or aubergine @Walmart ($54.00, available in sizes XS-XXL) is a machine washable polyester-spandex must-have piece in a timeless length to wear all year long—for real. The sweetheart neckline, A-line silhouette, & pleated midi skirt scream feminine, but juxtapose with an edgy look from the fabric.
Both Carrie Bradshaw & Blair Waldorf would wear this! This could be styled for day under a tied button-down shirt, blazer, & stilettos; under a slouchy sweater with knee boots & stacked bangles for fall; & with a studded cardigan, drop earrings, & ankle strap heels. For nighttime, try this with a choker & PVC heels, sparkling platforms & a leather jacket, or ankle boots & a neon clutch. Also, I thinking about the color combinations with the olive & aubergine options, mixing denim, brocade, plaid, houndstooth, or lace with it.
During a quick browse around the accessories & jewelry departments of my local Walmart, I sought to catch some clearance deals by Time & Tru. Even though my jewelry collection is very full & not lacking in any way, I decided to treat myself anyway to earrings that are different from what I already have & that I knew I’d wear—& for a bargain! to boot!
The following earrings selected are not available online to be linked, but that means you should head to your local store to get that deal for any look, along with other can’t-miss end of the season mark downs!
A mixed metal earring is perfect for a floral printed ensemble, like a sheath dress, maxi, or matching shorts & cropped top in order to accentuate the different tones of gold, silver, & rose gold.
When looking for a classic, but unique stud, these pink studs will soften up any harder look in leather with jeans, a blouse, & boots.
Colorful jewelry works for any time of year, especially with a colorblock dress paired with stilettos & a cuffed blazer.
When trying a dramatic & romantic look with subtle sparkle, these earrings will get the job done for a jewel tone or cable knit sweater & faux leather pencil skirt.
Getting ready for fall means that it’s time to start planning days of apple & pumpkin picking or heading out to a winery before the frost gets here—at least on Long Island anyway! Outfits with boots & any outdoor friendly pieces are essential, but that doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice style. One fall-friendly piece is a tunic that works with a variety of separates & occasions, no matter if you’re headed out or planning a cozy weekend inside with a good book or to binge on the next best Netflix original.
Time & Tru’s ribbed tunic top @Walmart ($15.98) is available in 4 colors (black soot, papyrus beige heather, green chili, & sheet salmon) & sizes XS-XXXL. I’ve ordered the black & green tops, looking forward to work from home days. I’d be ready for any Zoom meetings in this by throwing on a statement necklace or drop earrings. Another way you can also coordinate these tops is with faux leather leggings & a flannel, skinny jeans with riding boots & a long necklace, or an athleisure look with paneled leggings & tennis shoes.
One-in-every-color is at it again! This time, I’m obsessed–to my surprise–with the Time and Tru peplum hem t-shirt @Walmart for $12.98. I had ordered only the berry fun (pink) & black soot colors on a whim, but I’ve just added the other colors to my cart, although dark navy is not available in my size!
I was scrambling to get ready for my last day of work before a long-awaited vacation & knew that I had my favorite past-season black ankle pants & a stack of casual, weekend tops at the ready without the forethought from the previous night to pick out my outfit. Suddenly, with Barbiecore on the brain, I grabbed the pink version of this top, a long necklace, & patterned flats; along with my ankle pants, I was all set. It’s not very often that I use Time and Tru pieces for work, especially when my comfortable, weekend wardrobe is way more toned down. I was happily surprised with the final look & excited to share it with readers since the 6 colors are made in sizes XS-XXXL, although availability may be limited due to the end of the summer season rush in stores.
The modal/polyester/spandex material of this top is lightweight & the perfect blend of summer business casual Friday; however, this top must be ironed or steamed. Luckily, I had my hand steamer nearby when I was rushing to put myself together & the top came out as polished as I expected.
This top is ideal for a variety of looks, especially if you’re seeking out flowy, loose pieces for a hot summer day & when you just don’t have the capacity for something form-fitting. Check out the below suggested pieces to coordinate with this versatile, must-have, & affordable top:
When it comes to summer, I always have an eye out for a cute tote bag to switch things up for the weekend or when preparing for a vacation. I don’t normally switch out my purse from season-to-season as I like to commit to an all-year-long neutral bag & then take something else special out for certain occasions. Recently, while browsing my favorite affordable style retailers for the latest in summer accessories, I discovered the Time and Tru jute pocket tote bag @Walmart for $15.00, available in six colors: multi stripe / shocking pink, natural with gold & cognac, natural with silver & vivid white, natural with black colorblock, natural with blue blitz, & natural with sunflower.
I love the idea of coordinating these with maxi dress for an outdoor movie, a blouse & cropped linen pants for a family brunch, or a printed romper & sandal flats for a day at the park. The combination of straw with the pop of color inspires me to play with hues in an unexpected way. For example, I’d love to try to yellow bag with a black dress or the cognac with a chambray & denim look.
I’m guilty of being that “buy one in every color” shopper, as per my previous goddess dress post, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing because it makes picking out my day-to-day wardrobe seamless between family gatherings, prepping for class, heading into the office, or meeting up with friends. My latest obsession is ruffle button-front blouse from New York & Company, ranging in sizes XS-XXL. It’s currently on sale, ranging in price between $18.00-$26.97, depending on which coupon code you use & what your form of payment is; however, I like a top that I can wear with different bottoms, but also for different occasions.
