Tomorrow is Super Bowl Sunday, which will be all anyone is talking about, but for us more fashion-friendly Style Darlings, here are a few headlines that I wanted to share! You know, just in case you’re stuck at a party with some bored ladies & wanna strike up a conversation! Happy Styling!
I missed posting last week b/c of the nasty hurricane, but there’s been so much going on in fashion, it’s hard to pick just 10 stories to talk about. Of course, so much has caught my eye on Facebook, Instagram, & Twitter, but I’ve tried to narrow it down to the must-see stories that all Style Darlings need to know! What stories are trending in your social network? Happy Styling!
American designer Tom Ford has been everywhere lately, but his eponymous collections are usually kept hush-hush & shared with an exclusive bunch of his closest pals in the business, as I’ve recently learned from an article on In Style. In a creative new way to show off his latest Spring-Summer 2013 Collection, the A Single Man-director has brought his vision to life with a percussion-infused music video. The collection’s 29 looks are strictly black & white with rare pops of cobalt, peach, & metallics, however hardened with patent, leather, & tailored menswear details. Take a look at the video below & share this innovative display of what’s to come for next season! Happy Styling!
Solange Knowles has broken away from her big sis Beyonce’s shadow since her last album in 2008, Sol-Angel & the Hadley St. Dreams, but it’s time to take another look at her blend of fashion & music with her latest single “Losing You.” Filmed on the streets of Cape Town, South Africa, the Madewell spokesmodel is stylish while crooning to the dance / pop track with the help of designer duds from Diane von Furstenberg, J.Crew, Kenzo, Suno, & Opening Ceremony.
Style Darling featured the multi-talented celeb back in June with a post in Red Carpet Review, especially after her smash appearance at the Met Costume Institute Gala, wearing a sweet yellow peplum Rachel Roy confection. Take a look at her latest video, download the infectious track onto your iPod, & share with readers what you think about her bold menswear-inspired style!

A month ago, I shared images of Lana Del Rey‘s latest venture, her ad campaign for H&M, featuring vintage-inspired looks & a gorgeous pink angora sweater! Now, the music video for the campaign has hit the web & Style Darling is excited to share the full-length version of her cover of “Blue Velvet.” Check out H&M for store locations & to price the items featured in the video. I’m a big Carrie Underwood fan… fan of her music & her enviable red carpet style! I have to say that her music videos are among some of my favorites to watch b/c the American Idol winner is just so magnetic in front of the camera. She was meant to wear stylish duds & belt out the big notes, which is why I’m featuring her latest music video for “Good Girl” here on Style Darling.
Also, she’s been on my mind after reading the very intelligent and insightful article on her for the April issue of Self magazine- one of my favorite go-to sources for healthy living tips. The singer talks about how she made the change from being a vegetarian to becoming mostly vegan. Also, she’s a positive role model for women everywhere b/c of her confidence and down-to-earth attitude, all of which is very evident in the article.
Getting back to the music… Of course, I’ll be including this video for “Good Girl” in a future post of Carrie’s Top 10 Most Stylish Videos at some point, but this video has just recently been released & you have to see it! If you love female-empowering music, country music, or well-style videos, then this is one meant for you! For more of my favorite music videos, check out what I’ve posted about Gwen Stefani, Madonna, & Lady Gaga! Happy Styling!
