Who doesn’t love an outfit that you don’t even have to think about putting together? Well, that’s why matching sets, whether for a casual loungewear look, date night, or teacher outfit, are the biggest trend this coming fall. Matching sets don’t have to just include sleepwear, especially when a more utilitarian & minimalist 90s aesthetic is dominating retailers. Take a look at the matching sets below!
I love the inclusivity of both styles, especially with different skirt lengths, but I’m really impressed with the ease of taking these from day to night as well. For either look, the pieces can be coordinated with other wardrobe staples, such as a knotted graphic tee, button-down shirt, or light wash jeans. Not to mention that the shoe possibilities are endless with loafers, mules, sneakers, or ankle boots.
With all the necessities that go into planning a vacation, road trip, weekend getaway, or beach day, a sturdy & spacious tote is a must! Aside from a canvas find with a playful saying in it, consider crochet to accessorize your next summer adventure, especially with just under 16 inches in height & width!
With temperatures rising, I’m always looking for comfortable & lightweight clothing to wear that’s stylish & special. Usually, I downplay my accessories game since I don’t like the feeling of various metals on my skin when spending the day outside in the sun. However, there’s a chic ease of a bracelet with a maxi dress & wedges, tank & linen shorts, or blouse & joggers, which is why I’m recommending these fabulous finds:
Deals on seasonal staples aren’t that hard to come by, but one that’s a can’t miss is a quality rib tank top full of styling possibility—with linen shorts & slides, a midi skirt & statement necklace, a button down shirt & cut off jeans, a tailored blazer & pencil skirt, & more!
I’ve been loving carrying a lighter load with me on weekends & now that my weekday work responsibilities have lightened by using my silver croc crossbody, but I like to also alternate it with another stylish option to get the most wear out of it. Not to mention, I was seeing an animal print or more subtle neutral to wear moving ahead through summer into fall.
I love the larger size of this crossbody without the bulk of a shoulder bag tote, as well as the smooth fabric & chic print. As my family is planning some upcoming haunts, I’m a little more stylish when on the go & headed for a fun time!
Now that spring has sprung & 2 local trips are planned between now & early June, it’s time I start looking ahead to summer—in style! While linen does wrinkle & require care when washing, it is a breathable, comfortable, & classic material for a dress. Even better, a flattering & inclusive dress that can be styled up or worn casually.
My favorite is the green, but I did recently get the green eyelet dress I posted about back in February, so I think the blue (navy) will be a formidable option. I do wish there was a thicker strap, but the puckering across the waist is so flattering.
I can’t believe I’m posting about shorts when it’s still so chilly here on Long Island, but spring break is in reach & I’m daydreaming about warmer days. However, a matching linen set is a stylish, fresh staple for any wardrobe, especially as sets are so on trend right now! Not to mention, I love mixing up colors & patterns for an array of possibilities.
I’m drawn to the green striped set, but thinking I’d get more use for switching up pieces with the navy stripes. Also, I’m waiting for a fabulous sale, which Target often has, to snatch up at least one set for my next vacation. Plus, the pink & olive sets are all over Instagram, so I’m not the only one on board with these looks!
For the day-to-day grind & weekend chores, I stick to one giant handbag. I’m very loyal to it until it falls apart; however, when heading out for a special occasion, I’m happy to downsize with something metallic, playful, & festive!
I gifted myself the pink bag with a gift card, but I’m also keeping my eye out for a holiday deal on accessories, so that I can add the chic, neutral metallic bronze to my collection too!
This weekend, actress & singer Jennifer Lopez was spotted in New York City, taking in the Broadway smash hit The Music Man, hand-in-hand with new husband, Ben Affleck; however, the buzz wasn’t so much about another Bennifer sighting as it was on Jennifer’s unexpected winter / holiday outfit that is inspiring bloggers everywhere to reinvent their cozy fair isle sweaters with a splash of femininity & glam. Jennifer wore Ralph Lauren separates, including a black, red, & white fair isle sweater (shop here) with a sheer & a layered maxi skirt (shop here), black sheer tights, a chunky belt (shop similar here), shearling fur Coach bag (shop here) & ankle strap platforms by Valentino (shop here).
However, recreating the festive vibe of this look on a budget is easy because, this time of the year we could all save some extra cash, especially as the original designer sweater is nearly $1,700! Check out the inclusive options below:
I love a bargain! So do many Style Darlings this Black Friday weekend, especially if you’re shopping Target! If you’re in need of a stocking stuffer for a stylish loved one or can’t resist a sparkly deal for yourself, check out these earrings for under $6!
I’m all about the statement necklace with chunky gemstones & layers of chains, but for summer, I like lighter pieces that don’t cling too heavily to my skin, which brings me to my latest jewelry favorite: pendant necklaces. They’re perfect for a boho look with a maxi dress & sparkly sandals or for more professional workwear looks in a sheath dress & pumps. Also, consider mixing a pendant necklace with a blouse & pencil skirt, or solid tee & floral shorts with wedges. Pendant necklaces are also great for layering in length, especially when you want to mix stones, beads, pearls, & metal tones (rose, gold, & silver) to create a dynamic way to use your accessories!
Of course, pendant necklaces aren’t just for summer either. They’re an accessories essential all year long, as seen by just a handful of the ways I’ve worn mine the last few seasons (@styledarlingdaily on Instagram).
