Accessories Access: Fall’s Ultimate Statement Necklace!

I know, I know! Everyone says statement necklaces are out & layering necklaces is in. I can’t help it, but I love a bold piece, especially one in a color I can’t resist. Case in point: green!

SHOP: A New Day green square stone necklace @Target ($16.99).

I do wish this was also available in pumpkin, burgundy, navy, & plum tones to add some extra flair to other fall looks. How would you style this necklace? What colors do you like to wear? Accessories Access: The Prettiest Necklace for Under $10!

I’m definitely a jewelry addict—this, I know. If there’s a mega-sale, I’m on it. Since last week was Mother’s Day, naturally, I treated myself to some must-have can’t-miss deals, including one of the prettiest necklaces that I really just want to wear every. single. day.

SHOP: Charter Club two-tone crystal palazzo long station 42” necklace @Macy’s (on sale: $9.86).

I love the gold & silver tones, as well as the bling & length for a variety of blouses, pullover sweaters, maxi dresses, especially when looking to keep the accessorizing light when the temperatures start to rise. Check out my photos of the necklace against a bold pop of Barbie-core pink!

Accessories Access: A Classic, Silver Anti-Statement Necklace for Under $6!

For yesterday’s (mild) snow day, I wanted an easy, but chic work look that kept me warm & felt effortless. I knew my knee boots were in order, along with velvet leggings, but I volleyed between sweater & accessories options until I realized that I hadn’t broken out my new silver necklace!

SHOP: Time & Tru Eb brushed necklace in silver @Walmart ($5.88, available in 18 inches).

Once I happily settled on the necklace, I immediately thought of my purple dolman sweater since silver & purple are such a glorious pairing. I love how classic this necklace is, while also being lightweight, adjustable in length, & a no-fuss kind of necklace, which is why I call it my anti-statement necklace. It has just enough shine, but it’s not too much. Not to mention that the price is right! I’d love to also contrast the subtle texture on the necklace with a floral or stripe print, along with cobalt & powder pink tops.

SHOP NOW!: Peplum + Sparkle in 1 Sweater!

Usually, I love to add my own sparkly statement necklace to a sweater, playing up all the styling possibilities each time I wear it; however, when a piece has built-in jewelry, it’s kind of a win too, especially with a flattering peplum silhouette.

SHOP: rhinestone embellished peplum sweater in purple luxury & black @New York & Company (on sale: $25.98, available in sizes XS-XXL).

I have the black, which I really love & I plan on ordering the purple as well. It’s a flattering, true to size—I’m wearing the XL & can’t wait to try it with a variety of printed pants & pencil skirts.

Living in Style: More Jewelry Organization Ideas!

During my recent escapade into the world of home organization—mainly for my cloffice & bedroom wardrobe space—I made an investment in pieces & fixtures to house my accessories collection. Although, my ambition was larger than it should have been since finally unpacking my duds & getting my sparkly style ducks in a row. Additionally, my favorite storage piece to keep in my bedroom for quick access to my most favorite & precious long strand necklaces & chain bracelets doesn’t even look like a typical organizer or jewelry box, which is exactly why I love it!

I purchased 2 of the eForCity 4-layer jewelry storage organizer from @Target (was $21.99), wanting to order 2 more, but by the time I found use for them, they were out of stock. However, I was able to find an identical piece from Amazon: the HengLiSam 4-layer rotatable jewelry accessory storage trays in white (on sale: $9.99), which are also made in black & pink for $10.99 each.

I decided to keep them in my bedroom for quick access, especially on a weekend when I don’t usually plan my outfits ahead of time, so that I could grab a staple long necklace & bracelet if a day of errands turned into family dropping by or going out to eat. Most pieces in each organizer are either neutral / all-purpose jewelry that would go with basically anything or something so special & treasured I want it handy right away. See below how it all turned out:

This is what it looks like closed!
They’re atop another duo of jewelry organizers & even though they’re a stark white against the ivory & beige tones of the bedroom, they’re so compact & useful, I actually don’t mind.

Would you use a jewelry storage piece such as this? Do you prefer a classic look to your jewelry boxes or something more modern & minimalist? How much of your accessories do you keep “out” & available on the regular? Living in Style: Stackable & Sophisticated Jewelry Trays from Target!

As Mission: Get Organized continues, I feel like I’ve accomplished so much, but still have a long way to go; however, I haven’t lost my motivation. Having a reliable, stylish system is key to maintaining home organization in my cloffice & it’s of the utmost importance for my ample fashion jewelry collection that I’ve gifted myself during my years as a blogger, in retail, & as a stylist.

Specifically, I have made efficient use of the Household Essentials 3pc stacking jewelry trays in seafoam @Target (on sale: $34.41), which are also available in graphite linen (on sale: $31.86) & black linen ($33.56).

Months ago, I purchased 2 of these online, not quite knowing how I’d use them since I already have a few other stacking trays & jewelry boxes, but I knew I’d need plenty of options. While the trays can store all types of jewelry in varying sizes, I selected only shorter pendant necklaces & drop earrings—although I have 2 more sets of trays on the way, which was an even sweeter deal after Target’s $10 off $50 Circle offer! I love the bright color, which matches perfectly with my cloffice, along with the soft linen fabric!

I appreciate how everything can be seen in each layer & once I can see all of my jewelry, I’ll create a better system in storing by metal (gold tone, silver tone, or rose tone) or bead color, along with type of earring (chandelier, beaded, dangle, threaders, etc.) or if a pair has multiples in different colors, which will be helpful when I know I want a certain type of earring or necklace in a specific metal.

For the final image, I’m unsure how I’ll use the ring space since I’d like to keep this tray solely for necklaces, but perhaps once I recover all of my necklace extenders, I’ll be able to keep them here as well.

Pretty Pendant Necklaces for Any Summer Look!

I’m all about the statement necklace with chunky gemstones & layers of chains, but for summer, I like lighter pieces that don’t cling too heavily to my skin, which brings me to my latest jewelry favorite: pendant necklaces. They’re perfect for a boho look with a maxi dress & sparkly sandals or for more professional workwear looks in a sheath dress & pumps. Also, consider mixing a pendant necklace with a blouse & pencil skirt, or solid tee & floral shorts with wedges. Pendant necklaces are also great for layering in length, especially when you want to mix stones, beads, pearls, & metal tones (rose, gold, & silver) to create a dynamic way to use your accessories!

SHOP: Farah filigree necklace @Francesca’s, teardrop bead necklace @Forever 21, Universal Thread geometric half circle necklace @Target, LC Lauren Conrad silver flower pendant @Kohl’s, & stone cluster necklace @LOFT.

Of course, pendant necklaces aren’t just for summer either. They’re an accessories essential all year long, as seen by just a handful of the ways I’ve worn mine the last few seasons (@styledarlingdaily on Instagram).

Stocking Stuffer Sparklers!

When in doubt, I always turn to accessories & jewelry for gift giving. It’s fun for me to shop through stacks & stacks of sparkly goodies, where I can always find a little something for myself too. However, with the days counting down closer & closer to Christmas, I’ve been curious about affordable stocking stuffers for our stylish friends. Jewelry is a perfect way to go, especially if you know someone’s style really well. When you find that special something, it’s hard to resist the spirit of gift giving! What’s especially great about my five latest picks is that the most expensive is $18, which works fro a budget-minded shopper.
