Accessories Access: 3 Must-Have Pendant Necklaces!

As always, I’m a sucker for one of each, especially when it’s a classic item that can coordinate with nearly any look. This is Aldi the case when I’m thinking about jewelry—do I get the gold, rose gold, or silver? However, for the right price, why not get all 3?

SHOP: Time & Tru crystal stone delicate pendant necklace in gold-tone, rose gold-tone, & silver-tone @Walmart ($3.88).

These charming, yet stylish pendants are perfect for any button-down, as well as a mandarin collar blouse. The peek of some sparkle is a chic finishing touch—& how could you go wrong with the price?!

Accessories Access: The Blingiest Chain Link Bracelet for Any Occasion!

I’ve been spotting the chain link trend all over, which took a while for me to warm up to, but now, I’m all about it! I can’t wear chain link on chain link, but I like the subtle nod to edgy street style, mixed with luxury in bright gold & silver tones & jeweled embellishments.

SHOP: gemstone chain bracelet in gold & silver @Ardene ($8.90–Buy One, Get One 50% Off).

I’ve purchased both metals & love to wear them for work, a lunch with girl friends, or on date night, depending on the metal I’m most dominantly wearing with my outfit. The bracelets are a good, heavy weight, feeling like they won’t break if knocked into a desk, for example. The gemstones are very sparkly & add just enough shine for any look. See how they look with my recent outfits:

Living in Style: More Stackable Jewelry Organizers!

Since my previous post about stackable jewelry organization, my efforts have taken a turn as I repurposed the Household Essentials 3pc stacking jewelry trays @Target for drop earrings, hoops, crawlers, & front-to-back earrings, which meant that I had to find a new home for the necklaces & bracelets that once resided in them. Luckily, a few weeks ago, I found the Linus Fashion Vanity & Drawer Organizer Jewelry Organizer Tray in clear @Walmart ($14.99). See below:

Once I filled the 4 I ordered, I saw that my jewelry inventory of short chain & pendant necklaces & chain bracelets was still greater than the organization pieces that I had. I wanted to keep the like items together in a way that would be both visible & organized, so I sought to reorder them, but they were no longer in stock!

As my search continued, I discovered the mDesign stackable plastic storage jewelry box – 2 organizer trays with lids in clear @Amazon, which were equal in size to the Walmart ones, so I knew I could stack more in the deep drawers of the nightstand, even if some of the trays were a little different in how they’re divided up.

As I combined the different trays, I actually found the lids useful in order to ensure that everything was level & I could open & close the drawer without any issues. Here is the end result:

Drawer with stacked trays. I still have plans for the remaining space here with different clear trays & containers.
Stack #1: silver short pendant necklaces on top.
Stack #1 with 5 levels stacked, combining both the Walmart & Amazon trays.
Stack #1: rose gold / silver necklaces.
Stack #1: gold necklaces.
Stack #1: more gold necklaces.
Stack #1: older items from my younger days, like my nameplate, shell rings, multicolor stone charms, & dolphin pendants.
Stack #2: silver bracelets.
Stack #2 with 5 levels stacked, combining both the Walmart & Amazon trays.
Stack #2: gold bracelets with charms & pendants.
Stack #2: more gold bracelets with charms & pendants.
Stack #2: gold bracelets with beads, charms, & pendants, along with my few pins.
Stack #2: silver necklaces.

Living in Style: The Perfect Organizer for Watches, Bracelets, Bangles, & Cuffs from Amazon!

This past weekend was especially productive as I beat the heat & stayed indoors with my daughter who helped me organize my expansive jewelry collection, including my extra abundant & sparkly watch & bracelet collection, thanks to years of working in retail & a lot of shopping indulgence during my bachelorette days.

About 3 weeks ago, I posted about organizing my statement necklaces, using a gray display stand from Target. Without even attempting to coordinate my growing inventory of storage & organization items, I found a companion pair of velvet bracelet & watch holders. My goal is to have as much as I can visible, so that I can assess what to donate during this process, but also, what to keep! On a day-to-day basis, I need to actually see what I have so I can to choose it & wear it, beyond it just taking up space in my cloffice & remaining ignored from my wardrobe & accessory rotation.

However, with the 2-pack of Diommell velvet bracelet holder with 3-tier rack jewelry display stand watch bangle bar necklace storage organizer in gray @Amazon ($32.99), I was able to sort out the watches by metal / band color (rose gold, gold, silver, & white), although some of them are in desperate need of repair & cleaning after being boxed up for so long.

Also, I appreciate that the pair of stands are made in 7 soft separate pieces that are easy to assemble & disassemble for when picking out what to wear on a tired night before work or hurried morning getting ready.

The below pictured stand with my watches & cuffs doesn’t have a proper shelf in my cloffice, yet so these will be sitting pretty on my desk until shelving is in place. Also, I was able to fit 24 watches of varying size on it & I have 2 more that will be added to the stand once the bands are repaired. For the picture, though, the stand is sitting on my couch!

Yes, all the watches read different times because all of the batteries are dead, having been in storage for over 2 years. Have no fear, they will stylishly tick again!

For the $32.99 price, I was pleased that there were 2 stands, so that I could devote another one entirely to my stretch bracelets as well. This makes my styling time much more efficient & I am reminded of what I have on a regular basis so as not to buy repeats, no matter the deal or how pretty they may be!

Having worked from home for 15 months & keeping my accessorizing at a bare minimum, I’m so happy to be reunited with these stylish pieces & inspired to explore how to incorporate them into my everyday looks. Although, I just have to decide if the day will be a “watch day” or a “bracelet day” as I prefer to keep my right wrist free since I write with my right hand. Oh, the drama! Also, I still have to revisit the bracelet stand to be much more meticulous about sorting the colorful bracelets by bead color.

Pretty Pendant Necklaces for Any Summer Look!

I’m all about the statement necklace with chunky gemstones & layers of chains, but for summer, I like lighter pieces that don’t cling too heavily to my skin, which brings me to my latest jewelry favorite: pendant necklaces. They’re perfect for a boho look with a maxi dress & sparkly sandals or for more professional workwear looks in a sheath dress & pumps. Also, consider mixing a pendant necklace with a blouse & pencil skirt, or solid tee & floral shorts with wedges. Pendant necklaces are also great for layering in length, especially when you want to mix stones, beads, pearls, & metal tones (rose, gold, & silver) to create a dynamic way to use your accessories!

SHOP: Farah filigree necklace @Francesca’s, teardrop bead necklace @Forever 21, Universal Thread geometric half circle necklace @Target, LC Lauren Conrad silver flower pendant @Kohl’s, & stone cluster necklace @LOFT.

Of course, pendant necklaces aren’t just for summer either. They’re an accessories essential all year long, as seen by just a handful of the ways I’ve worn mine the last few seasons (@styledarlingdaily on Instagram).

Accessories Access: Big Bargain Baubles!

Summer is typically the season of the big earring (for me) since I don’t love feeling heavy metals layered on my skin during a humid & sticky day. However, when I’m headed to work or for a special occasion with friends, knowing that I’ll be in air conditioning changes the way I think about my outfit & accessories. I’ve been spotting so many gorgeous statement & bib necklaces lately, each that are perfect for these last days of summer in fun pops of color & whimsical designs. Also, discounted prices play a big role in what I’m willing to invest in, especially as my accessories collection grows!

SHOP: hammered gold coin necklace @Francesca’s, black teardrop stone necklace @Target, poppy collar necklace @BaubleBar, & floral bib necklace @Charming Charlie.

Statement necklaces definitely do make a statement, which can be anything from elegance, confidence, & a chic sensibility. Even though they’re bold, statement necklaces work for outfits that include both patterns & solids, creating an interesting, layered look. Try one of these affordable options over a little black dress, printed maxi dress, blouse & jeans, or graphic tee & leather mini.

Do you like to wear statement necklaces? Which colors do you gravitate towards? What metals are your favorite to wear? How do you style bold accessories? Happy Styling!
