Oscar-winner & A-lister Jennifer Lawrence celebrates her 32nd birthday today. The actress, & new mom, is a style star on the red carpet, for sure, but the success of her fashion choices is, in part, to her bombshell & edgy hair styles, as well as her gorgeous & flawless beauty looks at a variety of occasions, including major awards shows, film premieres, film festivals, & photo calls. The Kentucky native’s look has changed since her big break in 2010’s Winter’s Bone, especially with long dirty blonde locks, a more dramatic darker mane (like in Silver Lining’s Playbook & The Hunger Games), as well as a layered blonde bob. Additionally, the Mother! actress typically opts for a smoky eye, but often plays up her lips in a dark berry, bright red, or candy pink tone.
As summer comes to an end, one upside to look forward to (aside from the pumpkin spice latte craze) is that awards season is just around the corner. This year’s Emmy nominations for the most groundbreaking & entertaining performances on television (networks, cable, & streaming) were announced last month, inciting shock over snubs & much debate about the worthiest of nominees. However, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan earns her 5th, & well-deserved Emmy nomination (garnering 1 win in 2018 for the show’s debut season), 4 of which are for her portrayal of the lovable, frustrating, hilarious, & stylish Midge Maisel as a struggling comic & divorcee in the 1950s-60s.
At a recent Emmy FYE event, Rachel was photographed nailing a combination of trends, paying homage to the 90s with wide-leg pants, a crop top, & a peace sign pose (#girlpower). More specifically, the look included a long twill jacket (shop here), orange cropped tank (shop here), & bold parrot-printed jeans (shop here) by designer Loewe. That comes to over $4,000 with the 3 pieces & you can’t really even tell what kind of shoes she’s wearing, but let’s just assume for the fun of it that the $850 matching parrot mules (shop here) by Loewe are hiding underneath the voluminous bottoms.
In true Style Darling Daily fashion, you don’t have the break the bank to revive Rachel’s look in your own way, coordinating similarly shaped & colored separates to hearken back to the 1990s & make this yours. Check out the suggestions below for any combination of colors that appeals to your personal aesthetic:

Everyone agrees that Sandra Bullock is America’s sweetheart & she just keeps getting more beautiful, stylish, & glamorous with age! For the Oscar-winner’s 58th birthday today (removing jaw from floor), looking back on Sandra’s best beauty looks inspires me to try a bold lip, rock a middle part, glistening locks, blush up, highlight the jawline, & play up a smoky eye with seriously lush lashes!

As the recent covers of fashion publications get more & more glamorous, readers are also served plentiful substance concerning diversity & culture-conscious topics since the language of fashion encompasses all identities. This is why Vogue‘s August 2022 issue, featuring Golden Globe-winner, Emma Corrin (they/them), is such a milestone for LGBTQ+ visibility & an opportunity to explore the fluidity of fashion. Emma is the first openly non-binary cover star for the magazine, embracing both fashion & body hair their way—unapologetically!
Spector not only writes about Emma’s rise to fame as Princess Diana on Netflix’s The Crown, but also their upcoming projects, including My Policeman, alongside Harry Styles, & an adaptation of Lady Chatterly’s Lover by D. H. Lawrence, as well as Emma’s social media presence supporting & raising awareness for the trans community. Emma states, “In my mind, gender just isn’t something that feels fixed…and I don’t know if it ever will be; there might always be some fluidity there for me…If you have a platform and you’re able to use it, that’s obviously so important—and I met some incredible people through it.”
As Marvel fans breathlessly await the world premiere of Thor: Love & Thunder, the film’s female stars, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, & Pom Klementieff, hit the blue carpet to promote the action movie in the UK, along with director Taika Waititi, his girlfriend, singer, Rita Ora, & athlete Serena Williams, all of whom killed it when it comes to top shelf style.
However, it’s Natalie’s red mini Dior dress & flower crown, along with Tessa’s golden fringe dress by Oscar de la Renta that were not only the talk of London, but also currently the internet! Additionally, Rita’s shimmery & dazzling Elie Saab gown was a showstopper, as well as Pom’s edgy, biker-inspired Alexander McQueen frock.

Sometimes when I can’t make up my mind of how I want to style my outfit in terms of jewelry, pearls are an easy go-to for instantly adding some much-needed glam & sophistication to an otherwise casual look. The holidays are the perfect time of year to consider pearls, & not just for jewelry must-haves.Take inspiration from the stylish likes of Angelina Jolie, Brie Larson, Lupita Nyong’o, Reese Witherspoon, Rihanna, & Zooey Deschanel, all donning pearls in earring, bracelet, or necklace form.
One of my favorite shopping spots, New York & Company, has some stylish & affordable pearly finds to wear for your next holiday party, date night, girls’ night out, or even sipping on some hot cocoa while wrapping presents.
However you choose to wear your pearls, own them. Pearls are timeless & go with any outfit.I love glamming up a casual Sunday with a pair of cluster studs, for example. The pearl resurgence that we saw last holiday season on clothing isn’t going away either. How do you like to wear pearls? Do you have a favorite pearl accessory that you love to wear? Jennifer Lopez can’t do just one thing & I’m so glad for it. For her newest film, Second Act, she not only stars in & produced it, but also sings the power anthem “Limitless” (penned by Sia). She also directed the yet-to-be released music video (also starring her daughter Emme) & has taken the fashion world by storm once again at the New York City premiere of the film. She wore a breathtaking pink Giambattista Valli high low tulle gown (from the brand’s Fall 2018 Couture runway collection) with a train that rivals anyone else in gown train history (Priyanka Chopra… Princess Diana…) styled with silver accessories including a Judith Leiber clutch & Jimmy Choo platforms, as well as jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz. The play on volume & length in such a bold statement color only makes the dress more amazing to gawk at.
The ethereal design floated down the Fall 2018 runway & has now made history. Perhaps all those sparkly naked dresses are out & voluminous tulle dresses are in?
What do you think of J.Lo’s big pink dress? Is it too big? Not big enough? For more celebrity-inspired posts, click here, here, here, & here. Happy Styling!
