Fashion Flashback: 60+ Times Cameron Diaz Ruled the Red Carpet!

The news that actress Cameron Diaz is coming out of retirement to join Jamie Foxx in the new feature film, Back in Action, for the first time in eight years has me very nostalgic for the movie star style that inspired me to begin Style Darling Daily over a decade ago. If you haven’t seen My Best Friend’s Wedding, The Mask, There’s Something About Mary, Charlie’s Angels, any of the Shrek movies, or The Holiday, then you’re missing out on some 90s-00s film gold for the entertainment & charm that Cameron serves up on screen. Hence, why the blogosphere is in a tizzy over her highly-anticipated big screen return.

In addition the aforementioned films, the four-time Golden Globe-nominated star & best-selling author was once a red carpet regular, but an international superstar of the silver screen, not only wearing the chicest designers to events, like the Academy Awards, but also for her California-girl appeal, elevating mini dresses for glamorous movie premieres & other photo-worthy occasions. Check out the slideshow & gallery below for over 60 images that prove Cameron rules the red carpet & will continue to do so when she makes her return to Hollywood:

Red Carpet Review: The Hits From The MTV Movie Awards!

Last night’s MTV Movie Awards brought out some big stars, big style, & skin-baring styles.  Some of the headline-making fashions were worn by the stars of some of this year’s biggest films, including Elizabeth Banks, Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron, & Emma Stone.  The ceremony, hosted by Russell Brand, might not have made MTV history, but the red carpet was ripe with style.  Take a look at the gallery & tell us who your favorite is!

Red Carpet Review: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s Transformers 3 Press Tour & More!

Rosie Huntington – Whiteley is the latest it-girl to hit the red carpet, making headlines in the fashion world for quite a while now.  She is the new leading lady for the mega-Blockbuster action movie, Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon starring opposite Shia LaBeouf and Patrick Dempsey.  The English-born actress & former model was handpicked by director Michael Bay, after working on one of those sexy winged-angel Victoria’s Secret ads.

Courtesy of In Style, we see Rosie (which is also my best friend’s name!) in a slew of gorgeous looks on & off the red carpet, attracting every camera in sight!  Even at this summer’s MTV Movie Awards Rosie kept it classy, but edgy in a tiger print long-sleeved shift by Dolce & Gabbana, Sergio Rossi heels, & a Salvatore Ferragamo bag. At a recent appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman, she opted for a glamorous halter jumpsuit by Michael Kors in a very luxurious white & classic movie star aviators. Even when she’s not making a formal appearance somewhere, she struts her stuff in a loose-fitting long-sleeved blouse, black cuffed trousers, ankle strap heels in neutral, & finishes it all off with oversized sunglasses & an Alexander Wang bag.

Keeping with the sultry-girl-next-door look, she dons Michael Kors once again in a belted black slit gown.  This makes me think that the ingenue is an early Halle Berry / Angelina Jolie in-the-making. For a photo call appearance for Transformers 3, she went bold in a magenta Michael Kors gown with a super high slit & nude platform Christian Louboutins.  After seeing this stunning look, all I can say is: Move over, Blake Lively, there’s a new Style Darling in town! When the film premiered in Berlin, she sparkled in a silver belted open-back Naeem Khan gown, which made her golden skin & enviable cheekbones all the more sensational. In a very Jessica Rabbit-inspired red lamé strapless gown by Antonio Berardi 2011, she glowed like a veteran Style Darling at the movie’s New York premiere this week. Obviously she’s got the gams & she’s gonna show them off & there was no exception when she attended the Moscow premiere in two-toned Gucci confection with a sheer black skirt.  Not to mention that this is where we see her usually movie-star locks pin straight, accented by the flower details across her shoulder.  AND, Lady Gaga may have started the hotpants-in-place-of-real-pants movement, but Rosie is setting the trend for see-through looks like this one in a very classy & sensual way.
