Sunday night’s Oscars were magical, celebrating the magic of film; however, the after parties included a tremendous amount of sparkle, skin, & jewels as stars attend either or both the Vanity FairOscars Party or the bash for the Elton John AIDS Foundation. The glamour continued & even surpassed some of the ceremony’s high fashion. See the gallery below!
While I’m a major fan of the glorious ballgown on a red carpet, I’m always fascinated to study the non-traditional choices, which are becoming more & more the norm, including short dresses & pants / jumpsuits / tuxedos on female attendees. There are so many lists & galleries on social media & the internet recalling the best Golden Globe looks of all time, as well as the most extreme. Pants looks come in all forms, on a deconstructed tuxedo, jumpsuit, & suit, imitating the dress look, but also playing with cut-outs, adornments, separates, & proportions. Black is the most popular option with a pants look, as seen below:
In honor of Independence Day, I’ve gathered fashion from the past in gorgeous red, white, & blue designs–blue, of course in shades of navy, royal, & pastel. Mostly dresses, the below slideshow & gallery showcases some of my favorite red carpet looks from not only recently, but also for the last decade (or more) at awards shows, premieres, film festivals, & more!
The long-awaited 87th Oscars ceremony is under way & the web is buzzing over the glamorous red carpet, featuring a slew of gorgeous gowns from nominated actresses & fabulous looks from presenters & performers. One of the biggest trends of the night was sparkle & color, as well as some surprises from favorite A-listers who have taken some risks & stayed true to their consistently celebrated style.
