In the accompanying article, readers learn that she’s booked up filming movies with the renowned likes of Steven Spielberg & Darren Aronofsky, as well as her love for the Real Housewives reality shows. In her next role, she’s playing a Russian ballerina in the upcoming Red Sparrow & real-life journalist Lynsey Addario in It’s What I Do.
Tonight’s Emmy awards are already causing a buzz all over the internet, especially among fashion bloggers everywhere. I have nothing but love to show for all the female nominees & presenters on the red carpet. At the end of the day, it’s all about positively celebrating today’s most talented women. However, when it comes to fashion, there’s a legacy about the red carpet & seeing high-end couture & designers’ visions come to life on some of our favorite stars.
There were so many trends lighting up the red carpet, such as pops of colors, chain details, shimmers & sparkles, & much more! Also, among the gorgeous fashion choices were additional favorites like Jane the Virgin breakout star Gina Rodriguez (in Lorena Sarbu), Orange is the New Black‘s Danielle Brooks (in Christian Siriano), The Mindy Project show runner Mindy Kaling (in a belted gold number), Blindspot actress Jaimie Alexander (in Armani Prive), & the always statuesque Taylor Schilling (in Stella McCartney).Â
The long-awaited 87th Oscars ceremony is under way & the web is buzzing over the glamorous red carpet, featuring a slew of gorgeous gowns from nominated actresses & fabulous looks from presenters & performers. One of the biggest trends of the night was sparkle & color, as well as some surprises from favorite A-listers who have taken some risks & stayed true to their consistently celebrated style.
Who wore your favorite look of the night? Which celebrity did you think surprised or disappointed? What were the hottest trends on the red carpet that you loved most? For more Red Carpet Reviewposts from this awards season, check out complete galleries from the Screen Actors Guild Awards, Golden Globe Awards, & Critics Choice Awards! Happy Styling!
The 2013 Oscars are just starting & there’s so much to talk about from tonight’s red carpet, including the anticipation behind the performances from the cast of Les Miserables, as well as the tribute to the James Bond series. Some of my favorites so far include Naomi Watts‘ high fashion look from Armani Prive, Reese Witherspoon‘s classic old Hollywood Louis Vuitton cobalt gown, Zoe Saldana‘s two-tone fishtail gown by Alexis Mabille, & Sandra Bullock‘s lace-detailed Elie Saab gown.
So this isn’t my typical gallery… Funny lady Leslie Mann, best known for her roles in Knocked Up & The Change-Up, has been hitting red carpets under the radar for quite some time now. However, the actress (& wife to director Judd Apatow) is climbing the style ranks, especially after several appearances during Paris Fashion Week. I put together a little collection of some of her best looks from recent events & a few years ago. The svelte blonde turned 40 years old this year, but is looking better than ever with the classic elegance of a veteran red carpet regular. My favorite look is her Armani Prive LBD! Kudos to Leslie Mann! Happy Styling!
In my second post for Top 10 Celebrity Sightings, I’m super happy to share some more fabulous looks from fearless fashionista sisters, Duchess Catherine & little sis, Pippa Middleton. I’ve made it no secret that I have a girl crush on P, but in an effort to share the style spotlight, I’ve also included some additional envious looks. We’re spanning many different occasions here, from evening ensembles, red carpet looks, & sassy street style, so buckle up b/c it’s going to be a glamorous ride!
While I always loves me a Middleton duo, I have to admit that my favorite look is worn by Victoria Beckham. The former spice girl & revolutionary designer knows how to wear a dress! Happy Styling!
This new category, Top 10 Celeb Sightings, is just another way for us to enjoy some celebrity-inspiration. Of course, there’s no question that when celebrities get it right, there’s this fantastic moment of joy in the world of design & style. I’m always finding fabulous images of some of my favorite celebrities out & about or hitting up a red carpet for an event & just want to post the image so we can share in the glory. What better conversation starter is there than.. “Did you see fill-in-the-black in that fill-in-the-black?”
In addition, all posts won’t be ranked in any particular order, but my personal favorites are from both Blake Lively & Jennifer Lawrence. Happy Styling!
Of course b/c these gowns are so elegant & perfect for many ages, both are currently sold out, but according to the website, they will be able to ship in August.
