One earring style that’s always on trend is a hoop, which has been reimagined in so many varieties & still remains classic. While hoops aren’t my go-to first choice of earring, I do love what I’m seeing with these new styles on sale now!
Which hoop is your favorite? Do you like to experiment with classic earrings? Do you prefer gold or silver tones? For more stylish posts, check out: twisted t-shirts, chambray peplum tops, & windowpane capris! Happy Styling!
It’s no secret that actress Lily James was one of my favorites from this past awards’ season as she celebrated a collection of nominations for her performance as Pamela Anderson in the miniseries Pam & Tommy. However, as Lily’s style has elevated from classic princess to sultry vamp, her beauty game has followed suit—no matter the blonde or brunette tresses that she’s donning. In honor of the British star’s 34th birthday today, here is a fashion flashback of Lily’s best beauty & hair looks on the red carpet!
Over the years, Natasha Lyonne’s fashion has evolved, just like her impressive resume, especially starting in hot streaming series, such as Orange is the New Black, Russian Doll, & currently, Peacock’s Pokerface! One thing that hasn’t changed about the charismatic actress is her scrappy charm, no matter the role or outfit. While her blonde curls hearken back to her American Pie character, Natasha’s current red tresses are show-stopping! Today, we celebrate her 44th birthday with a look back at her style, which recently has become a combination of experimental punk goddess.
It’s time to break out the arms as the weather slowly, sort of changes to actual springtime & show off a flattering sleeve & the glory & variety of t-shirts! When there’s a twist involved, that’ll look stylish with a midi skirt, linen shorts, pull-on pants, or dark denim jeans, sign me up!
I have the black, which I can’t wait to coordinate with a pleated midi skirt & statement necklace. I do wish this too was available in an olive green, as well as a more royal blue. They’d be staples in my spring wardrobe, but a girl can dream!
I will always love a peplum top, along with a light & breathable chambray material. The flattering shape in a classic & neutral fabric makes for a stylish & winning combination with tropical linen shorts, red jeans, plaid capris, or patterned leggings!
While I’m not always a big fan of hanging ties on tops, the ease of this calls more for a fun, threaded earring than any kind of neckwear, especially come those hot summer days. I gave the black & can’t wait to style it up for a casual day in the office or when planning my family’s next road trip!
I’ve really been obsessed with plaids lately, probably because I don’t wear them as much once spring comes around. I do love a mix of plaids with florals or abstract prints when coordinating color schemes. A classic windowpane print, especially in navy, not only presents opportunity for print mixing, but also to play up other fun colors in your wardrobe.
These fit so nicely & I can’t wait to wear them with a polka dot top & cardigan outfit, as well as with bright colors, like fuchsia, chartreuse, orange, & lavender. Navy is such a major neutral, & the wearing it in these capris will make for a special look for the work day or weekend.
While everyone is out & about in platforms & varieties of ankle boots or slides, I’m still all about a pointy toe ballet flat! I’ll invest in every color under the sun to stay comfortable for a work day giving lectures. I love the point to polish off my look–no matter what I’m wearing. Not to mention that I’m very drawn to flats that feature special embellishments, including studs, bows, or jewels. However, this post is all about the chunky chain!
I do have a pair of black chain flats from years ago that are still in pretty good condition, so I was excited to find the beige option to mix with my new spring favorites, including dusty rose pants & a short sleeve sweater, or classics, such as a fit & flare dress with a cardigan & statement earrings. The gold touch on the toe emphasizes the mix of hard against the soft pastels & florals I’ll be wearing this season.
The must-have markdown of the season is here! I love a pullover that can go from dressy to casual with the switch out of jeans & sneakers to faux leather leggings & a statement necklace. This is especially the case for a top with statement sleeves that’s worth it to have in every color!
Originally, I ordered the white because the item is referred to as a sweatshirt; however, this is a thin, stretchy pullover material & it was very sheer. Not wanting to layer, I’m returning it, but very much looking forward to the navy & magenta options. The price is just too good to be true & I wish my size was available in more colors. I guess that’s just how it goes with end of the season clearance items!
Now that spring has sprung & 2 local trips are planned between now & early June, it’s time I start looking ahead to summer—in style! While linen does wrinkle & require care when washing, it is a breathable, comfortable, & classic material for a dress. Even better, a flattering & inclusive dress that can be styled up or worn casually.
My favorite is the green, but I did recently get the green eyelet dress I posted about back in February, so I think the blue (navy) will be a formidable option. I do wish there was a thicker strap, but the puckering across the waist is so flattering.
I’m so guilty of—time & time again—succumbing to sparkle. If it’s on sale or a deep final sale discount, I’m shattered! I have no backbone! I want it! I want to style it! I want to write about it!
After all, isn’t every day a special occasion? Rarely a day goes by without wrist adornment & lately, I’ve been layering since there are so many gorgeous pieces that look even more spectacular when paired up with others. I have all 3 of the above & I already have then prepped for outfits this week! They sparkle in the light, have some quality weight to them, & are easy to adjust, so I recommend them for early Mother’s Day presents or just for yourself, if you’re into bling!
It’s taken me a while to hop aboard the puff sleeve trend train, but as these gorgeous spring styles are rolling into my ‘Gram (@styledarlingdaily), I can’t help but think about all of the styling options!
I’m nuts for the minty ‘agave’ top, especially with tropical linen shorts & neutral mules for vacation, windowpane trousers & block heels for work, a pleated midi skirt & ballet flats for a family party, or jeans & sneakers on the weekends.
Let’s all give it up for the one & only Sofia Vergara who got denim joggers right! The actress-turned-fashionista has nailed it when it comes to a combination of comfortable, stylish, & affordable pull- on jeans with a joggers twist. I can’t wait to wear them all the time, especially since I haven’t worn jeans since before my pregnancy in 2018 started to show!
At the recommendation of another blogger, I ordered these in the lightest Bel Air wash, only because the darker Oceana wash was sold out in my size; however, now that I’m in love with his comfortable & trendy these are, I’ve already ordered the Trinity wash before it’s too late!
Spring is the perfect time of year to lighten up those layers & play with patterns. One of my all-time favorites is polka dots, especially in a cardigan that tops off a blouse, jeans, plaid trousers, or a fit & flare dress.
I love the availability & trend of rose gold fashion jewelry. The pink hue highlights so many brilliant wardrobe colors & adds an extra splash of femininity to any outfit. I wear rose gold everyday with my wedding band & engagement ring, no matter any of my other jewelry, but when I can go all out in rose gold, I do!
I love a peplum, especially when running errands & in need of a lightweight, comfortable piece that doesn’t feel too constricting, which is why my warm weather wardrobe consists of just such pieces to coordinate with cropped pants & drop earrings, tropical shorts & sparkly slides, or jeans & a duster cardigan. However, I’m not always a fan of the distressed, worn look, but I’m willing to give it a try, knowing that some of these colors will style well with my past-season bottoms.
When getting cozy on chilly nights or preparing for next winter with amazing bargains on heavier items, like sweaters, I love a deal, as well as a multi-purpose item in gorgeous & neutral colors.
I never saw these in my local stores, but I’m crazy for this berry hue. Of course, the navy & gray are sleek options for joggers or faux leather leggings. I love the blend of casual with the cable-knit texture, which offers a unique top for any bottom.
Throughout the year, I like to have fun with my stud earrings, mixing up a quintet of studs in colorful, tasteful, & stylish ways since most days, I fill my 5 piercings in each ear with great variety. I love adding a fruit into the mix, but from time to time, an animal also appears, including birds! I’ve had my eye on these for some time now:
I love the orange-blue-green-white color combination, especially against the gold-tone. It’s a bright, playful addition to any look & adds a spring touch against a tunic sweater & leggings or midi dress & duster cardigan.
The ballet flat isn’t dead! Not when they look like this & they’re 30% off!
SHOP: ballet flats with bows in stripe, black white floral, blue floral, & beige black @Ardene (on sale: $10.43, available in sizes 6-11).
At such a great price & with so many fun & springy details, how can you not order all of them? I love the stripes for a classic tee & jeans look with layered necklaces of the blue floral with a cotton eyelet dress & cardigan. Not to mention the black floral will add some feminine flare to a midi dress. Also, the beige & black is perfect for a casual Friday in a cardigan set & windowpane pants.
I love how t-shirts have evolved over the years, blending the ease & comfort of a casual piece with more refined & special details that can be dressed up, such as a flutter-sleeve. While I’m not typically drawn to a dramatic sleeve, a subtle flutter adds an extra bit of whimsy, especially when paired with jeans & sneakers, trousers & ballet flats, a midi skirt & slides, or a pencil skirt & statement necklace.
SHOP:flutter-sleeve paneled t-shirt in black, beige, pink, & white @Old Navy ($29.99, available in sizes XS-4X + petite). Watch out for the current 30% off at checkout deal, or other sales that may help this topper, & the multiple colors, make its way into your wardrobe.
I’m a sucker for a chic, slim crossbody bag that will help keep me light when on the go, but also adds to my outfit. Recently, Target has been my go-to for such great accessory finds at an affordable price.
This is a chic option for when my day includes not only a brunch or al fresco lunch plans, but heading out & about for a family occasion in a blouse & trousers, maxi dress & cardigan, or midi dress & drop earrings. Other varieties of this bag (minus the alligator embossed texture) include black, olive, green, & electric blue at varying price points.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Any day gives me an excuse to wear green, but today, especially, I’m excited to share a must-have polished sundress in green & white plaid for spring/summer that I can’t wait to try on myself, which is also available in black too!
The green option is lovely for Easter or other springtime festivities, while the black is a classic, feminine staple to dress up with platforms, wear with laid back slides, or be in casually with sneakers & a denim jacket.
With last weekend’s dazzling Academy Awards, I’ve got my mind on big baubles for spring, including flower & butterfly-encrusted jewels to layer with solid pieces, a graphic print ensemble, or other florals. If your jewelry collection is in need of a refresh, check out these must-haves:
I could spend hours upon hours just zoning out looking at jewelry store window displays, marveling at the beauty, craftsmanship, & sparkle of earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings, brooches, & more. When the stars hit the red carpet, the wonder & excitement just amplifies, especially considering the legendary jewelry designers that are featured, along with elegant & dramatic gowns. I can’t help but think back to all of the mesmerizing emeralds that graced the red carpet in awards shows of the past, but I’m so glad there are more vibrant references to add! Here are some of my favorite jewelry moments from the red carpet:
