07/06/2022 Darling of the Day: Keira Knightley’s Summer French Girl Chanel LBD at Paris Fashion Week!

Two-time Academy Award nominee & Chanel ambassador Keira Knightley hit Paris Fashion Week‘s Chanel Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2022 Runway, sitting front row in a French-girl-chic little black dress by, none other than, Chanel.

Her return to spotlight is long overdue & demonstrates her consistent triumphant style, grace, & polish as she turned heads in an unlikely summer combination of velvet & Mary Jane heels (shop similar here). However, Keira nails the look, especially with bumper sunglasses (shop similar here), a quilted clutch (shop similar here), & elegant rings (shop here & here). See the photos below of Keira’s exquisite style, alongside her husband, James Righton, to inspire your next summer LBD outing.

Even though summer is a season all about colors & patterns, a little black dress for a variety of occasions is a timeless wardrobe staple, including these more affordable options to help a Style Darling live your best French-girl fantasy, whether you’re headed to a cocktail party, wedding, weekend brunch, or somewhere fabulous & fashionable.

Cover Craze: Taraji P. Henson is Boss for InStyle’s January Issue!

Actress Taraji P. Henson is making waves not just in front of the camera as Cookie Lyon in Empire, but also on the big screen (of course, she did this in Hidden Figures too) with her new film out next year, What Men Want–a remake of 2000’s What Women Want starring Mel Gibson  & Helen Hunt). She’s not just the star of the comedy, but also serves as executive producer for the film. For In Style magazine’s January issue, Taraji also discusses in the article (read here) about being a single mom & her 20-plus year career & her connection to her fans, both nationally & internationally.

For the playful/Network-inspired photo shoot, Taraji plays with retro menswear pieces, including Michael Kors Collection (shop sweater here), Zara, Chloe, Dolce & Gabbana, Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Fendi (shop suit here), Bottega Veneta, Pomellato (shop bracelet here), Hermes, Tibi (shop boots here), Missoni, Rochas, Valentino (shop shoes here), & more!

Cover Craze: A Behind-The-Scenes Look At Jennifer Lawrence For In Style!

Jennifer Lawrence for In Style December 2013

Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence can’t go a day without being photographed, and it makes sense, especially after catching this behind-the-scenes look during her recent photo shoot for In Style‘s December 2013 cover. Of course, we get to see the tall, leggy blonde with her longer, fuller hair, while still loving all the recent shots for her press tour of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

The Dior spokesmodel wows inside the magazine’s pages, decked out in luxe winter whites by designers like Alexander McQueen, Valentino, Proenza Schouler, Marc Jacobs, Céline, & naturally Dior Haute Couture. The ravishing images come courtesy of photographer Michelangelo Di Battista, who captures Hollywood’s it-girl alongside an article which features her chatting about being a high school cheerleader, being a sex symbol, her choice of not going to college, & her biggest spending splurge- so far!

Watch This Style / Cover Craze: Behind-The-Scenes At Jessica Alba’s February 2013 InStyle Cover Shoot!

Jessica Alba for InStyle February 2013

Well, 2013 is shaping up to be one editorially-amazing year since we’ve seen so much from the January & February covers of magazines. My favorite magazine of all, the one that I set time aside for to look through, is InStyle, which is currently celebrating the accomplishments of actress / entrepreneur / author Jessica Alba, who’s founded an eco-friendly children’s company, Honest Company, as well as published her first book, The Honest Life, which teaches readers how to fill their home with eco-friendly & safe products.

During her shoot for the magazine’s cover, she took some time to talk about life as a mother of two, lending her voice for the first time to an animated flick, & her guilty pleasures.  Check out the video to see the smoldering looks from the shoot, including designs by Fendi, Marni, Derek Lam, Gucci, Christian Dior, & lots more!

Red Carpet Review: Anne Hathaway & Amanda Seyfried Dazzle While Promoting ‘Les Miserables’!

Ever since news hit the web that there was going to be a full-on movie musical remake of the legendary novel-turned-Broadway play, Les Miserables, I’ve been following its every move of production, including casting news & sneak peeks at the stars singing their hearts on.  Two of the film’s leading ladies, Anne Hathaway & Amanda Seyfried, have been dazzling on the red carpet, which I, naturally, needed to feature b/c there was just too much great fashion not to!

Let’s start with Amanda whose belted Alexander McQueen column gown was an ethereal turn for the blue-eyed blonde, accessorized with mirrored Rupert Sanderson evening sandals. The January In Style cover girl stole the show in a plunging two-toned Balenciaga gown with towering satin platforms for the film’s London premiere.  Amanda returned to pastels in a soft Marios Schwab dress with patent leather peep toes by Rupert Sanderson.  Also, back in October, as the buzz surrounding the film was just starting, Amanda appeared at the Hollywood Film Awards in a ravishing red bustier dress by Prabal Gurung with earrings by Dana Rebecca Designs & platform Jimmy Choo shoes.  Amanda Seyfried & Anne Hathaway

I’ve been talking about Miss Anne quite a lot this year, ever since she debuted her short ‘do back in July, hit the red carpet in Valentino, & shined on the covers of Vogue & Glamour! The newlywed continued to channel Audrey Hepburn in a sleek Victoria Beckham LBD with black pumps. While talking up the film in Tokyo, she donned a Antonio Berardi keyhole dress with open toe patent leather shoes.  She took a risk in a relaxed midnight column gown a New York screening of Les Mis wearing a moonstone cocktail ring by Graziela.  Most recently, she made quite the movie star entrance while showing off her back in an all-over beaded Givenchy gown in London.

There’s no doubt that this is Anne’s year on the red carpet, but I know I can’t take my eyes off of Amanda, whose style seems to get better, fresher, & more feminine at every glance.  Whose red carpet style do you like better? Do you like Anne’s pixie cut? Do you think Amanda was a good choice for Les Miserables? Happy Styling!

Cover Craze: December Issue Risk-Takers & Style-Makers, Featuring Keira Knightley, Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, & More!

‘Tis the season to take your clothes off for a magazine.. well, not really, but that’s what Rihanna (in AllSaints) & Keira Knightley (in Chanel) have both done for the December 2012 issues of GQ & Allure, respectively.  I love the idea of being confident in your body & loving your shape, however I’m not sure that’s the message that these two cover Style Darlings are sending, but I don’t publish the magazines. However, Catherine Zeta-Jones is keeping it classy for In Style‘s final issue of the year in a v-neck dress by Nina Ricci.

Also, I’m happy to share the latest from Vogue, featuring Les Miserables actress & recent Saturday Night Live host, Anne Hathaway who is looking every bit the movie star in Ralph Lauren, Taylor Swift making her 2nd appearance this month (see previous Cover Craze post) for Harper’s Bazaar & she’s talking about how hard it is to wear the same dress twice, & the always ladylike Jennifer Hudson, who’s appearing in the 2nd season of Smash, for Redbook. Happy Styling!

Runway Rundown / Quickie Darling Deal & Steal: Lauren Conrad’s Fall 2012 Collection for Kohl’s!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Former reality star-turned-fashion designer Lauren Conrad has been working very hard to set her image apart from her previous days at the face of MTV’s The Hills, or whatever show she was one.  The talented personality continues her relationship with Kohl’s creating a feminine, wearable, & polished Fall 2012 collection.  While the prices for some of the pieces in her line may seem high, keep in mind that Kohl’s offers so many sales & discounts that you’ll be saving much more than you’re spending! I’ve collected these images, courtesy of InStyle, & created a short gallery of what you can look forward to seeing the next time you’re in a Kohl’s store.  These items are hitting stores this month, so save up your Kohl’s cash & get your fall wardrobe ready for a professional makeover, date-ready duds, & cute casual essentials.

For more on Lauren’s collections, check out previous posts including the Paper Crown holiday collection & my favorites from last summer! Cover Craze / Magazine Must-Haves / Luxury Look-Alikes For Less: Jessica Biel Wears Gucci Heels On In Style’s August 2012 Cover!

I love Jessica Biel‘s look on the August 2012 cover of In Style, my style Bible. It’s perfect for getting ready for fall, full of casual chic detail, & accessible for any shopper- except for the price tag.  I can certainly see myself donning this look, but first I’d have to find look-alikes within budget.  As soon as I saw this image, I immediately thought of a post I created back in April about the Brash platform sandals ($16.99, originally $29.99) from Payless. Although they don’t share the same luxe velvet texture as the Gucci ankle strap sandals ($695.00) from Nordstrom, the same look can be achieved.

Shame on me for not having enough time to properly flip through the pages of the magazine YET, especially when my knee-high stack of past issues is getting embarrassing, but I’ve made a vow to lighten up my periodical load since before I know it, the massively mind-boggling September issues of my favorite fashion mags will be stuffed my mailbox.

Magazine Must-Haves / Silver Screen Style: Miss Piggy Goes Glam for In Style!

To mark the excitement of Style Darling’s 300th post, I’m recycling some style news, but it’s still important news! Thanks to my editor over @Movie Buzzers, I got an exclusive heads up about a very special fashion spread that I’m so excited to cross-blog!

With all the news surrounding the long-awaited new movie, The Muppets, Miss Piggy is making her comeback in a big way!  In the November issue of In Style, featuring Gwen Stefani on the cover, the beloved puppet siren puts all previous high-fashion centerfolds to shame with looks by designers like a feathered flapper dress by Jason Wu, a romantic LWD (little white dress) by Parabal Gurung, and many more!

It’s been a whole twelve years since we saw the Muppet crew on the big screen, but Miss Piggy is making every effort to steal the show, especially after an impressive 35 years in the entertainment business.  In the magazine, she discusses her relationship with Kermit, her fashion sense, what it was like to film with her old friends, and exactly what she thinks about her co-stars Jason Segel and Amy Adams. Not to mention that all of the looks that the famous pig models were custom-made for the diva, including strappy leopard pumps by Brian Atwood, gold-plated jewelry by Philip Crangi for Giles & Brother, a floral belted Suno dress, and sweet Opening Ceremony halter dress with ankle strap heels.

You can expect to see the movie in theaters on November 23rd and check out Movie Buzzers’ previous articles about the latest trailer and video, a parody trailer, and news on the movie’s soundtrack featuring OKGO, Weezer, and many more! Also, check back with Movie Buzzers at the end of the year since I’m sure Miss Piggy’s on screen style will put The Muppets on my Top 10 Most Stylish Movies of 2011 list!

Happy Styling!

Red Carpet Review / Runway Rundown: Who Loves Dolce & Gabbana’s Stars Print? Fergie, Jessica Alba, Anne Hathaway, & More! That’s Who!

Dolce & Gabbana‘s latest fall / winter collection is headed for the stars- seriously! While playing with classic silhouettes in pencil skirts, flowy blouses, & oversized blazers, the mix of the celestial black & white pattern stands out even more with sequins, lace, animal print, & fur.  These are just a few of the very fabulous runway looks, courtesy of the official website. Even the separate items can be matched with dark denim skinny jeans, a bold tee, & colorful pointed tow heels & socks (as pictured).  To shop for these items, head over to Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Net-A-Porter, & Saks Fifth Avenue.  Which is your favorite?  Do you think stars look juvenile or luxury?

But if the runway isn’t somewhere you normally hang, take a look at the latest fashion magazine covers & their stylish cover girls, donning star-themed dresses by the famed fashion house.  This includes One Day‘s Anne Hathaway for Marie Claire, pop princess Britney Spears for Harper’s Bazaar, & everyone’s favorite Virgo, Beyonce for In Style!

And since this is a partial red carpet post… Over the last few weeks, we’ve seen a slew of celebs of all styles opting for astronomical-inspired looks, as opposed to the tradition go-to polka dots or a simple LBD for camera-ready events.  First there’s Rose McGowan shows off her figured in a ruches sweetheart dress, Fergie isn’t afraid of color in the yellow & black mini, a very pregnant Jessica Alba wears a comfortable & elegant halter, Rosario Dawson plays with voluminous sleeves, Olivia Wilde sneaks around in sequins, Kim Kardashian isn’t afraid to wear curve-hugging stars during the dat, & Lily Allen is ladylike in a white coat & black tights.  Lastly, Evan Rachel Wood & Solange Knowles take on this print in legwear, both pairing the pants with loose-fitting tops & a masculine black jacket!

For more on Dolce & Gabbana, check out our Style ABC’s (x3) post, featuring the gorgeous Scarlett Johansson as the brand’s cosmetic spokesmodel.  Also, check out past runway shows at In Style!  Happy Styling!

Runway Rundown: Missioni Heads to Target!

I love Target b/c it has everything you need!  You can get your favorite shampoo, new sheets for your bed, the new Vanessa Carlton CD, & some serious style all in one trip to the store!  What’s even more special is that Missoni has recently joined forces with the mega department store to feature not just clothing in the famous chevron print, but home accessories like a tea set & other goodies like luggage!

Courtesy of In Style, the brand has released about 20 images of the goods which will be available in Target stores & online starting September 13th.  Prices as of now are not yet available, but be sure to check out their computer accessories, as well as vibrant scarves that can help make your fall an even brighter one!

Of course, this isn’t appearing on a runway any time soon, but isn’t it nice to know that Style Darlings everywhere can get their fashionable hands on affordable & luxury designs by brands that have hit the catwalks of Milan or Paris by just walking in to Target?

TIP: If you’re already a Target shopper, then you may already know that if you bring your recyclable bag (which only costs $1) during each Target visit, you can get .05 back on your purchase.  Also, if you have a Target credit card, for each use, you automatically get 5% off your purchase.  Every little bit helps!!

If you’re not familiar with the brand, then check out Joy Bryant, Kerry Washington, Sophia Vergara, & Nicole Richie wearing looks on the red carpet.  In addition, if you’re a big fan of Missoni, you can see runway collections from Spring 2009 up to this year, by clicking here. Happy Styling!

Runway Rundown: Banana Republic & ‘Mad Men’ Style!

It’s impossible to suggest that TV does not influence fashion & vice versa.  Carrie Bradshaw anyone? Anyway, you better watch out for fall fashions at Banana Republic, where we’re seeing a straight-from-the-set collaboration of Mad Men‘s costumer designer Janie Bryant with the retailer.  Courtesy of In Style, we have a sneak peek at the fall line which will hit your local stores on August 10th!  Bryant told the magazine, “The collection is about dressing with effortlessly chic style, bringing a dressed up look to American style for the modern man and woman.”  You can pick being a Joan (Christina Hendricks), Peg (Elisabeth Moss), or Betty (January Jones), looking super sensational with a whole lot of vintage.  These separates are also great for pairing with more modern pieces like a one-shoulder top, boyfriend cardigan, skinny jeans, wide leg trousers, or cropped pants.  In addition, there are tailored mens looks included in the line, which you can spot by going to the magazine’s article.

*Note: The outfits in the picture to the far right are not sold at Banana Republic.  That is simply a promotional image to show the styles of three characters.  Happy Styling!

Magazine Must-Haves: In Style’s Intimates & Extras for Spring!

Even though all of the May issues of the most popular fashion magazines are hitting shelves, I had to post about some of the great finds in the April 2011 issue of In Style, featuring the uber-talented & surprisingly glamorous Tina Fey.  Not the most fashion-conscious celebrity out there, the magazine styled her in a very “Network-esque” manner with lots of blouses, pants, & corporate attire for this actress, writer, & mother. She’s currently promoting her new book, Bossypants, while also wrapping up a fifth season of 30 Rock.  AND, she’s expecting her second child!  Busy busy!

Also in the issue are these four must-have items! Not to seem haphazardly put together, they are some of the best deals from some of my favorite websites.  Get ready for beach weather in these gold metallic gladiator flats for under $16!  They’re perfect with a coverup romper, or a wild printed maxi dress, all from Charlotte Russe.  For some nautical inspiration, take a cue from this coral striped t-shirt from Forever 21, which is perfect for slouchy jeans, khaki walking shorts, or a mini skirt & wedges.  This is a go-to piece even later on next season for those cool summer nights over a basic tank & shorts.  The magazine reports that coral is the color of the moment, so go for some neutral accessories to let the color pop with lucite jewelry or chunky white pieces.  I don’t normally feature intimate apparel, but I was cooing over these two bras, one from the gorgeous, luxury Italian brand Cosabella which is now sold @J.Crew & also a navy lace racerback @Victoria’s Secret.  Ditch the sporty looks & go for something soft & feminine, but watch out which tops you pair these bras with!  Happy Styling!

Style ABC’s (x3): A is for Audrey Hepburn, American Idol, & Ann Taylor!

is for Audrey Hepburn, one of the most beautiful women to have ever graced the big screen, & an obvious choice to start out Style ABC’s blog series.  The star of Breakfast at Tiffany’s & Roman Holiday effortlessly changed the way we perceived Hollywood style & glamour into minimalist chic. She created the timeless LBD look & has inspired celebrities today, like Natalie Portman, Victoria Beckham, & Penelope Cruz, to follow in her very prestigious footsteps. For more dish on Audrey’s signature style, check out Steal Their Style, Allure, In Style, & Look Book Fashion! Some additional Audrey-inspired looks include Ellen Page, Bridget Moynahan, Julia Ormond, & Scarlett Johansson!

On American Idol, Jennifer Lopez  has stormed the small screen in every appearance!  Not only are audiences watching to see the competition, but I know half of why I’m watching is to see what the multi-talented fashion icon is wearing!  She sports uber-feminine ruffles, throwback scarves, glamour girl bombshell sparkles, modern minimalism, & 80’s chic all in a matter of a few weeks.  Especially after Jennifer’s recent appearance at this year’s Grammy’s, she’s proved that she still a fabulous force to be reckoned with! Stayed tuned for American Idol every Tuesday & Wednesday night on FOX for more lessons on style!

Ann Taylor is a classy brand name that mixes soft with chic in a very wearable way.  Celebrities like Heidi Klum, Naomi Watts, Milla Jovovich, & currently Katie Holmes star in the ad campaigns for this brand, which has branches for a more youthful demographic in LOFT, as well as a super stylish maternity line.  The clothing ranges from wedding to cocktail to work to everyday with ease & elegance.

Click on the link to check out all their latest sales & if you’re a student, find out here how you can save 20% off on all regular-priced merchandise! Happy Styling!

Runway Rundown: Matthew Williamson’s Collection for Macy’s!

Celebrities like Blake Lively, Selena Gomez, & Cat Deeley all love to wear designer Matthew Williamson’s creations, as we can see! If you don’t know who the English-born fashion innovator is, well you’re about to find out! You may even remember that Williamson created a line just for H&M back in 2009, which was a big hit among stylish stars like Sienna Miller & Thandie Newton.

In April, an exclusive line just for Macy’s will debut, featuring bright, bold color, fun separates, & plenty of cocktail looks. Items start at $24 & other pieces cost up to $300. If you’re a smart & savvy Macy’s shopper, you know where to find all the best discount offers.

In Style offers a sneak peek at the designer’s entire collection for Macy’s & I’ve picked out just a few of my favorites. Williamson shared with the magazine that his aim for the pieces is to “capture the essence of the mainline brand, with a focus on effortless glamour, dynamic prints, loosely structured silhouettes and pops of strong color.”

If spring has taught us anything, it’s that trench coats are timeless & this gorgeous cobalt-printed belted trench will instantly perk up any rainy day. This chartreuse one-shoulder dress with an embellished belt can be worn for any number of events like a cocktail party or a summer wedding with nude pumps. Romantic & wild graphic / animal-inspiration makes for a great dress for work, paired with a boyfriend blazer & chic shoulder bag. The boldness of this purple & neon blouse can be balanced with navy shorts & platform sandals for day or a black pencil skirt & cut-out pumps for night. This heart-printed romper can go from day-to-night as well with some ballet flats & a canvas tote, & then some metallic pumps & a bold cuff for a date. For any cool day of running errands, you’ll need an easy, casual look of a tee & walking shorts, paired with this graphic scarf & your favorite boat shoes.

After doing a little research, here are just a few of Williamson’s most fabulous pieces from his Spring 2011 Runway Collection, which can be purchased for a hefty price at Net-A-Porter. Happy Styling!

3/23/2011 Darling Of The Day: Taylor Swift in Parisian Chic!

Just this week, In Style featured Taylor Swift leaving a hotel in France, looking effortlessly Parisian chic.  Equipped with a casual striped tee, dressed up in a skirt with tights & oxfords,  the Grammy winner & country superstar brought her Southern style to the fashion capital of the world.   This is a perfect look for any day of shopping in any gorgeous city.  It’s really an elegant way to go about your day, without any fuss of too many accessories or too much print.  Miley Cyrus could take a style cue here!

This look is so easy to make for yourself with a three-quarter sleeve striped tee, a tiered skirt, & sheer black tights!  Throw in your favorite shoulder bag, something in a neutral, or a navy satchel with your most delicate ballet flats & you’d be unstoppable!

Sporting her signature loose & wild curls (that can be maintained even in the most treacherous weather with John Frieda spray) & classic red lips, the Cover Girl spokesmodel’s look truly makes her a Darling of the Day! Happy Styling!

Runway Rundown: A Look at Rachel Zoe’s First Line!

I don’t normally follow runway looks, or entire collections of big name designers, for they are just so expensive, but I’ve grown to have a fashion crush on Rachel Zoe (bah-nanas!) & when I saw InStyle‘s scoop on her most recent fashion endeavors, I drooled the unthinkable drool!

While Ms. Zoe’s looks aren’t available until the fall, I love the blend of 70’s starlet, modern minimalism, casual menswear, dainty ruffles, & regal faux furs.  It’s both flirty & whimsical, it’s totally Rachel’s style!  I haven’t read yet where her looks will be sold, but I’ve learned that they run anywhere from $200 – $700.  Kind of beyond my budget, but it doesn’t hurt to look at the professional celebri-stylist’s newest project as inspiration for our own wardrobes.  She’s so successful & is such an inspiration, who adores anything Chanel, Marc Jacobs, & even endorses H&M!

I don’t know how the first-time soon-to-be-mom does it, while still styling celebrities for their red carpet events.  As we’ve seen on her show, especially during the craziness that ensues for awards season (like right now the Oscars are just two weeks away & I’d love to see how all the fabulous history-making fashion is coming to life!), some of her most famous red carpet & often best dressed list topping  clients include actresses Eva Mendes, Anne Hathaway, Kate Hudson, Liv Tyler, Jennifer Garner, Cameron Diaz, Demi Moore, & Molly Sims.  How can you go wrong with a fashionable lineup like that?

Check out The Rachel Zoe Project on Bravo, of which I can’t wait to see Season 4!  Not to mention on her official website, you can sign up for a daily email of  The Zoe Report & get her advice in the Ask Rachel section!  She even offers some behind-the-scenes footage from her latest collection’s arrival!

Also, she lends her voice to Piperlime sharing her favorites from the retailer’s vast selections! And you can follow her up-to-the-minute tweets on Twitter! Happy Styling!

2/6/11 Darling of the Day: Jennifer Aniston’s Casual Chic Day Out & Bottega Veneta Hobo!

Jennifer Aniston is the quintessential California girl with a cool, casual style, but her laid-back, effortless glamour is what makes her a stand-out Style Darling.  The actress, whose career was jump-started by her iconic role of Rachel on Friends, has become a best “friend” to fashion with easy, yet timeless looks.  Even though the movie Picture Perfect wasn’t a colossal success, I have to say that I love her character’s style in it & that’s what originally made me notice how she wears clothes & doesn’t let them wear her.

Here we’re taking a flash back to 2004 with Jennifer, who wears a perfect example of minimalism, yet chic flair.  In a clean white button-down shirt, bootcut jeans, & a pinstriped blazer, her outfit is executed with three very basic pieces.  She adds a Bottega Veneta hobo bag to accessorize her already cool pointed toe shoes & leaf charm necklace.  Wherever she’s headed, she means business!

The items that I’ve selected are all affordable- although the blazer (which is nearly a clone of the one Aniston is wearing) may be a little bit over budget for some.  It’s from Banana Republic, therefore its quality will stand the test of time.  You’ll definitely get your money’s worth by making the investment, but I also recommend some blazers from Ann Taylor LOFT, New York & Company, & Express to pair with any classic button-down

For more stylish accessories to choose from while you’re on a budget, I always recommend Forever 21, Payless, The Limited, & Style Find! Quickie Darling Deal & Steal: Sophie Theallet Designs for Nine West!

While doing my religious clicking around on my favorite sites like In Style & Lucky Magazine, I came across some serious style news & when it comes to shoes, I drop everything, including my jaw over these two delicious creations to the right. French designer Sophie Theallet has created a new line this spring for Nine West.  She presents a fresh take on stripes with sandals, espadrilles, & flats.  You can’t forget about the bags & accessories, check ’em all out here

These would contrast so nicely with something very utilitarian like a shorts romper or dress down some satin pants.  Sweet details likes a ruffled edge & gold buckle make for a more expensive look for shoes that start at $109.00.  This collection won’t be available until May 11th in store!

Perhaps the next time you receive an email from Nine West, you’ll get all the latest information on sales. As of right now, the website has an end-of-season sale of up to 70% off boots, shoes, & accessories.  While we look ahead to spring, we can still stock up on marked down goodies for next fall / winter!

If you’re looking for a patterned ankle strap shoes like Sophie Theallet’s, but for you’re on a budget like me, & $109 is just too much… well, I’ve got just the thing for you!  Check out these four selections below that don’t go above $45! Happy Styling!

1/20/11 Darling of the Day: Sofia Vergara at the Golden Globes!

Not only did Sofia Vergara wow on the red carpet in this corseted Vera Wang honeysuckle strapless gown, but hers is among the first to be knocked off (from what I’ve found). The actress was nominated for her hit comedy Modern Family & although she went home empty-handed, she sparkled throughout the night in dazzling jewels by David Webb.  This is the perfect dress for any curvy woman.  The black sash belt creates a waste & accents the inner va-va-va-voom vixen!

A little extra frosting never hurt a Style Darling.  It would definitely enhance this glamorous Hollywood homage.  Although drop chandelier earrings were big during last year’s awards season, some looks just can’t do without them.  Stack on some glistening bangles & a big cocktail ring, but let your decolletage do all the work, otherwise you’ll look over-accessorized.

9/26/2010 Darling Of The Day: Kelly Ripa’s Chic Blazer & Sandals On-Set Style!

For another new series of blog entries here on Style Darling, I’m taking a cue from my favorite magazine In Style & will be featuring a look of the day.  Although, in my case, it will be a Darling of the Day.  In finding accessible looks worn by celebrities, we’re taught all the fancy & fun ways an outfit can turn out.  Of course, making the “daily” commitment isn’t going to be easy, as I’m fighting off a cold- still-but this type of blog is certainly my favorite.  I’ll be featuring a celebrity look- new or old- & will feature items to recreate that look at a reasonable price.  Easy enough, right?

Today’s look is Kelly Ripa, who went casual for a recent episode of Live! With Regis & Kelly in layered tanks, a navy blazer, gray boyfriend jeans, & lavender sandals.  With the tanks & uber-cute sandals, she’s a perfect example of how to integrate your summer pieces into fall, getting the most out of your wardrobe.

Top (Banana Republic), Jeans (Forever 21), Jacket (Forever 21), Shoes (Payless), Belt (Bluefly), Bangles (Shop4Sparkles), & Necklace (Banana Republic). Also, check out this mannequin on Polyvore, as well as others like it to recreate more celebrity styles! Happy Styling!
