British fashion legend Vivienne Westwood passed away today at the age of 81. Her career began in the 1970s, proving relevant every decade with its blatantly refreshing combination of punk meets glam. Keke Palmer is a celebrity whom I love to watch during interviews. She’s vibrant, verbose, & aware of herself. The confidence & class the Nope star exudes continues with her latest interview & cover for The Hollywood Reporter.
Decked out in designers like Gucci, Balenciaga, Stuart Weitzman, Michael Kors, Simone Rocha, & Sophia Webster, the powerhouse performer speaks to journalist Mikey O’Connell about her relationship with fame, her dual identities as Lauren Palmer behind the scenes & Keke in the spotlight, as well as her career goals to create opportunities for marginalized individuals in Hollywood. Additionally, the shoot was photographed by Munachi Osegbu & styled impeccably by Wayman + Micah.
The stunning Illinois native entertains within the article, just like she has & continues to do on the big & small screens, with spotlight-stealing performances in Hustlers, Alice, Scream Queens, & Akeelah and the Bee. Keke can wear anything & say anything—audiences & readers alike are charmed & continue to want more from this multitalented actress, singer, & producer.
Check out the video below from The Hollywood Reporter as Keke discusses some of her major career firsts:
So a pair of high heels may not be on every Style Darling’s holiday wishlist & it’s nearly impossible to buy someone else high heels as a surprise—unless you’ve received a specific request, you know their style & size to a tee, or you’re a stylist who can read people’s style needs easily. However, for the rest of us, some high heels remain a dream & that’s fine. That’s not to say that I’ve hung up my high heel collection & passion, but we’re taking a break in the name of happy arches & comfortable days at work. With that… a little sparkle, plaid, & velvet perks my feet right up for holiday footwear!
SHOP:Liv pump in red plaid (on sale: 59.46, available in sizes 6-12), Liv pump in purple metallic (on sale: $62.96, available in sizes 6-12), & Lyla pump in teal green & purple (on sale: $55.96, available in sizes 6-12) @New York & Company. Check site & emails frequently for coupon codes!
I love the idea of pairing the plaid with a sweater dress & faux fur vest. Likewise, the metallic option can amp up a little black dress & statement necklace; whereas, the velvet styles with the blingy bow offset faux leather leggings & a tunic sweater or sheath dress & drop earrings for your next holiday gathering!
Not only is Not Okay star Zoey Deutch a natural comedic actress, but she’s also Hollywood royalty, as daughter of Back to the Future leading lady Lea Thompson, & Zoey commands the red carpet in her head-to-toe monochromatic style, bold suit ensembles, lacy little black dresses, elegant vintage looks, metallic minis, & love for bold prints! She can wear anything! I’ll be honest, I never paid much attention to Zoey’s public appearances, but upon learning of her 28th birthday today & setting out on a mission for a post today, I stand corrected! As a blonde, brunette, or redhead, Zoey is a style chameleon, exuding confidence, grace, & joy in every look. Her modern minimalism rivals her penchant for traditional Hollywood glam—I can’t decide which is better. Take a look through the color-coordinated gallery below to see all the reasons why Zoey’s style is worth celebrating!

When I look at topper items, like cardigans & blazers, I often expect to wear it for more than just the fall/winter season, always hoping to get the most bang for my buck. Of course, there are some exceptions for summer items or really heavy knits that work for those especially chilly days. When I want to mix things up, look professional, & cover up a bit, I like a “flyaway” cardigan or blazer to complete my look & highlight a not-so-obvious color in a printed top or dress. For example:
If you’re looking for a stylish & no-fuss way to incorporate some Halloween glam into your everyday look, my best recommendation would be to find some black nail polish. Of course, a glittery black is fabulous, but a classic matte black polish goes a long way!
Sally Hansen is one of my favorite nail polish brands for their affordable prices, variety of hues, & durability!
If there’s any actress sure to garner attention for the glossy photos of a magazine cover shoot, it’s Anne Hathaway! For the November 2022 issue of Vogue Hong Kong, the Academy Award-winner channels her 60s goddess, which we’ve been seeing a lot lately for recent red carpets & press events, discussing turning 40 soon, her 4 upcoming films (Armageddon Time,Eileen, She Came to Me, & Mother’s Instinct), as well as family & fashion!
Actress Gabrielle Union has over 90 acting credits to her name & ever since her breakout roles in 90s-00s teen comedies, she’s getting better with age, like the finest of wines. Today marks her 50th birthday & she continues to slay on the red carpet, whether she’s showing skin, wearing bold hues, playing with texture, or suiting up. It’s no wonder since she’s been a designer & collaborator with New York & Company for years now!
Check out the images below for the very best of Gabrielle’s fashion history:
America’s sweetheart, Julia Roberts, turns 55 today & there’s no doubt about her style on the red carpet, especially her classic penchant for black menswear separates, dresses, & gowns. Take a look at the gallery below for some of her most fashionable looks through the years:
What do you think of Julia’s style? What is your favorite movie of hers? What’s your take on her menswear inspiration?
I’m a little sweater obsessed this time of year, though I wish it was consistently cool enough to wear one—at least here on Long Island. As I seek out different color combinations, sleeve lengths, & textures, I always have versatility on my mind, especially if a piece can be worn during the fall-to-winter transition & shift then to spring.
I love the sleeves on this top, which can be worn over a long sleeve turtleneck & with dark denim jeans or even with a pencil skirt & ankle boots. The top offers more possibilities when layered with a button down or matched up with leggings.
I hit up Old Navy last season BIG TIME for their velvet leggings, which will surely be a well-calculated investment on my part for this season, especially on cooler days & when I’m all about the leggings. In fact, a stylish look shouldn’t be uncomfortable or restricting, which is why I love how leggings have evolved & become more & more elevated in different materials. My go-to come winter time, no matter what my size is, is a tunic sweater & leggings… & why not velour leggings too? Also, I love Old Navy’s inclusivity (online, at least) in size availability for basics, such as velour leggings.
Most of my loungewear pieces are fuss-free. I don’t want to zip, tie, cinch, or button anything on me, so the details are pretty minimal; however, when it comes to adding a feminine embellishment to a top or sweater for cooler days, I’m on board! Of course, the whole point of a sweatshirt is to be cozy & covered up, but the trend of adding ruffles & lace or panels to a sweatshirt makes my heart happy & creates opportunity for a fashionable work from home look too.
While there’s a wide size range, I’d love to see this top in rich, jewel tones, such as hunter or violet, or bright colors, like red, magenta, & aqua. I’ve ordered it in black, hoping to pair it with velvet leggings & a statement necklace for a stylish luncheon with my gal pals or a casual Friday at work. However, you can never really go wrong with Time & Tru’s selection!
As the weather gets cooler & the layers start layering, I love a velvety texture to add a luxurious, fancier vibe to my look, whether it’s for the office / classroom, a weekend event, or night out with the girls if my husband. Last year, I was all about the velvet pants & leggings & now I’ve got my sights set on a velvet tops! For example:
SHOP:velvet puff sleeve top in black, bold Bordeaux, & deep spruce green @LOFT (final sale: $29.88 + extra 40% off for StyleREWARDS, limited availability in sizes XXS-XXL).
After I added each of these to my cart, I was floored to see their final price was $17.93! I can’t wait to pair these with a lace pencil or pleated midi skirt & a cardigan for work, jacquard or plaid pants a holiday party, dark denim jeans for a family gathering, or dressy palazzo pants for a special occasion. Not to mention that the jewel tones hues would really enrich an antique gold statement necklace with lots of bling or a more delicate pewter pendant too.
