10/21/2013 Darling Of The Day: Kate Middleton Repeats A Timeless Striped Top!

Kate Middleton in a striped Ralph Lauren top, J Brand skinny jeans, a Smythe blazer, & Stuart Weitzman wedges. The world has its eyes on the one & only Kate Middleton, especially since her post-baby appearances have not only inspired new moms, but because her red carpet & street style are continuing to wow fashion critics. Just last week, the Duchess of Cambridge showed her sporty support at a SportsAid Athlete Workshop, wearing a striped Ralph Lauren top, Smythe blazer, J Brand skinny jeans, & Stuart Weitzman wedges. However, the nautical-inspired stripe trend isn’t just for summer & Kate shows this by repeating her look this season.

The fall take on stripes recalls a Parisian look, making any casual separate like a pair of dark denim jeans, skinny pants, or pencil skirt a little more elegant. Some suggestions to pull off an autumn-friendly striped outfit include the following three tops: the Alice + Olivia striped stretch jersey long sleeve top ($40.97) in black & white from Bluefly, Forever 21‘s striped baseball tee ($12.80) in navy & cream, & the striped button shoulder top ($34.00) in navy from Dress Barn (available in sizes Small – 3X).

Bluefly - Alice + Olivia striped long sleeve top $40.97. Forever 21 - Striped baseball tee $12.80. Dress Barn - Striped button shoulder top $34.00.

Which patterns do you love for fall? How do you like to wear striped tops? Are you drooling over Kate’s great post-baby body & style? Runway Rundown: Catherine Malandrino’s DesigNation For Kohl’s Lookbook!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

New York Fashion Week started yesterday- on my 30th birthday! You can be sure that I’m going to feature plenty of galleries sharing the best runway collections, however I wanted to celebrate September with a line that I’m super excited about. This includes French Designer, Catherine Malandrino‘s debut for Kohl’s DesigNation capsule line, which hits stores on September 27th!

The classic silhouettes & flirty details make this one of my favorite designer collaborations for the mainstream consumer. I love pops of Parisian inspiration, especially the typography & Eiffel Tower homages. Also, there are plenty of modern accents that make this extra special, including menswear-inspired blouses, boat-neck cuts, luxe fabrics, & a neutral color palette.

Which looks are your favorite? How do you feel about Parisian style? For more posts on affordable fashion, check out trendy studded patent flats, Jamie Chung’s Ann Taylor skirt, fall must-have dresses from Dress Barn, & fun flats from Old Navy for under $25! Happy Styling!

8/31/2013 Darling Of The Day: Jamie Chung Sports An Ann Taylor Skirt!

Actress Jamie Chung couldn’t be any cuter & she’s certainly climbing her way up the style ranks. The actress known for roles in The Hangover Part 2, Sucker Punch, & TV’s Once Upon A Time hits the red carpet for the book release of Kitchen Revelry in a chic ensemble which includes the leopard jacquard flounce skirt ($89.00) from Ann Taylor.

Jamie Chung in a wite leather-accented top with a leopard print jacquard Ann Taylor flounce skirt, a leather clutch by Gerard Darel, & black strappy heels.

Here, she’s playing with multiple trends, including leather accents on her top, as well as strappy sandals which successfully add a little edge to her feminine look. An elegant all-purpose clutch like this one by Gerard Darel is perfect for day or evening, putting the focus on Jamie’s sophistication. Of course, spending nearly $90.00 on a skirt isn’t always budget-friendly, but this is a stylish reminder to look to our favorite retailers & celebrities on the red carpet to continuously inspire our wardrobes!

What do you think of Jamie’s outfit? How would you style the jacquard skirt? Do you think she could’ve pushed the envelope a little more? Red Carpet Review: The Wild Looks From The MTV VMAs, Featuring Ciara, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, & More!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Music’s most popular & praised hit Brooklyn this weekend to celebrate the MTV VMAs. The ceremony featured a slew of performances that left audiences with their jaws on the floor & many heads scratched. I’m going to talk about talent here. I loved seeing Lady Gaga back in action, as well as the throwback to Justin Timberlake‘s career since his days in NSYNC & also, a memorable Bruno Mars who hit the stage with his new single, “Gorilla.”

However, we must consider the red carpet, which featured a lot of controversial looks, as well as elegant surprises. My favorites include sophisticated risk-takers like Selena Gomez showing her rock side in Atelier Versace, Katy Perry‘s leopard, leggy look by Emanuel Ungaro, Ciara in a Givenchy Couture, & Lady Gaga herself in a black Elvira-inspired look by Prabal Gurung. Of course, Taylor Swift looked stunning in Hérvé Leger & Naya Rivera‘s cut-out black gown was chic, but these girls need to learn to loosen up.

Which looks are your favorite? Which performance were you talking about the most on Monday morning? Do you think Miley Cyrus went too far during her performance? For more celebrity posts, check out previous galleries including the thrilling season 3 promo for Revenge, Robert Pattinson for Dior Homme, stylish September issues featuring Amber Heard & Kate Upton, Olivia Palermo in an ASOS look, & Girls actor Adam Driver featured in Vogue! Watch This Style: Behind The Exciting Season 3 Promo For ‘Revenge’!

August is almost over & I’m getting my DVR ready to start recording all of my favorite shows that are returning this fall. This includes Revenge, which ended last season with so many twists that left me on quite the cliff all summer long!

Revenge

In the recently released season 3 promo for the ABC drama, we get a 30-second look of all the thrills that will unfold when the show premieres on September 29th! In Style shared an interview with the show’s costume designer, Jill Ohanneson, who is behind Emily Thorne’s gorgeous & flowing wedding dress, pictured in the sketch above & video clip below!

After hearing about what would happen, the dress required so many elements that I knew we weren’t going to find any one piece that would do everything we needed, & since we had three weeks of prep time at the beginning, I found the fabric, did three or four sketches, and designed it myself,” says Ohanneson, adding, “I know Emily likes very slim silhouettes, but I also knew the producers and directors wanted the fabric to float around her when she fell into the water. To make that happen, I started with a slim silhouette & built around it with tulle, since it’s lightweight and floats well.”

We ended up making four gowns- we kept one perfect, we had to build one for a stunt girl, & we made two more that can take the blood hits. We saved the original since we’d have to shoot a wedding down the line,” explains Ohanneson.

Are you a Revenge fan? What are your season 3 predictions? Which character do you think is the best dressed? Watch This Style: Robert Pattinson Stars In The New Ads For Dior Homme!

Robert Pattinson for Dior's Dior Homme

In a thoughtful effort to featuring more news for any male readers out there, I have something here for everyone. About a month ago, news hit the web about The Twilight Saga heartthrob, Rob Pattinson, had set to star in the new ads for Dior‘s Dior Homme cologne. The below video features a series snapshots of the ad campaign, which took plane in New York City, under the direction of German artist Nan Goldin. The teaser images will certainly make for a special cinematic moment, especially since participating in fragrance ads for luxury designers has been a hot trend in the few years.

The scent features notes of amber, vetiver, & leather blend, according to In Style, which sounds like all things sophisticated & masculine- a perfect gift for the upcoming holiday season. You can shop the fragrance at Sephora & costs between $60.00 – $80.00.

What do you think of these images? Does the English-born actor fit the Dior image? Show Me The Shoes: Fun Flats For Fall From Old Navy!

Fall fashion is all around us & I wanted to embrace the latest must-haves with a new post featured in Show Me The Shoes, including some stylish flats from Old Navy, one of my favorite stores to find affordable fashions & extra cherry-on-top great deals! I’m excited to pull out my past-season steals with new items, including fun & flirty shoes for any Style Darling on the go!

All for under $25 each, I can already picture these with different outfits, mixing prints & textures for a day at the office, heading to class at night, or when I’m out & about with the girls on the weekend. I especially love the trendy details like jeweled accents, ankle-straps & buckles, pointy toes, delicate bows, & cap toes.

Old Navy

I recommend the embellished ballet flat ($24.94) in asparagus, printed ballet flat ($22.94) in coral print, printed cap toe flat ($22.94) in black/white dots, & pointed ankle flat ($22.94) in clay mate.

8/21/2013 Darlings Of The Day: Emmy Rossum In Banana Republic & Olivia Palermo In ASOS!

I’m always scouring the web for look-alike pieces to celebrity outfits that budget-conscious shoppers can access. While I was catching up on the latest red carpet & street style images of my favorite A-listers, I found that Shameless actress Emmy Rossum & socialite / designer darling Olivia Palermo are acquiring their looks from stores that the (more stylish) rest of American can shop.

Banana Republic recently revealed their newest collection from British designer Issa, featuring this flirty blue ceramic printed wrap-tie dress ($130.00). This universally-flattering look was seen on Emmy, who played it up with tough accessories like lace-up booties & a black shoulder bag by Gerard Darel.

Emmy Rossum. Banana Republic - Issa Collection Blue Ceramic Printed Wrap-Tie Dress $130.00

Of course the price tag is a little steep if you’re looking for a bargain, but this style is timeless & perfect for any time of year. At the end of the summer, it’s a great transitional piece for fall with tights, knee boots, & a denim jacket. For the office, add a metallic belt & blazer with some pointy toe pumps.

While in New York City, Olivia stepped out in style in the skater dress in paisley print with lace up sleeve ($67.50) from ASOS, which she styled with a studded belt, a gold chain-link cuff, snakeskin flats, sunglasses by Westward Leaning.

Olivia Palermo. ASOS - Skater Dress In Paisley Print With Lace Up Sleeve $67.50.

The free-spirited frock is another versatile must-have that has multiple styling possibilities. Take a cue from Olivia’s choices with a textured belt, statement jewelry piece, & contrasting printed shoes.

Which dress is more your style? Are you a regular or ASOS & Banana Republic shopper? Which celebrities inspire your street style? Runway Rundown / Watch This Style: The Phillip Lim For Target Lookbook!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Back in May, Style Darling reported on the upcoming collaboration between Target with luxury designer 3.1 Phillip Lim (see article here). The collection hits stores next month, but the entire lookbook has debuted online, featuring plenty of “morning, noon, & night” outfits that will make your office wardrobe, day looks, & evening ensembles a little bit more fabulous, especially since they range in price from $19.99 – $299.99 for apparel & $19.99 – $59.99 for accessories. Of course some of these prices are a little high for a bargain shopper, but if I learned anything from Target’s holiday collection with Neiman Marcus last year, it’s that when they go on sale, the clearance prices are insane!

I’m a big fan of the line’s color combinations for fall, mixing pastels with rich jewel tones, all while playing off of neutrals like navy & gray to create a polished pajama-chic meets preppy girl-next-door. Structured details with menswear inspiration is especially on trend for this season, with leather accents, jeweled necklines, & plenty of elegant basics to go around with any current wardrobe staples you’re looking to upgrade.

What do you think of the collection? Do you shop designer collaborations with mainstream retailers? What are your must-have pieces for fall? Cover Craze: ‘Girls’ Actor Adam Driver Models For Vogue’s September Issue!

I was recently asked if Style Darling shared anything about men’s fashion & I knew I was guilty of not giving male style enough attention… & isn’t it convenient that I just so happen to come across a story that features just that!

This weekend, the whopping 902-page epic September 2013 issue of Vogue arrived in my mailbox & I’m waiting to devote the proper amount of time to its fashionable glory. However, aside from the drop dead gorgeous it-girl Jennifer Lawrence (& recent Oscar winner) on the magazine’s cover, I’m crazy about Girls actor Adam Driver who dazzles on the countryside with model Daria Werbowy in a romantic William Butler Yeats & Maud Gonne-inspired photo shoot through the lens of the legendary Annie Leibowitz.

Adam Driver & Daria Werbowy for Vogue September 2013 01

Of course, when it comes to fashion shoots, sometimes the set and/or props make the editorial something a little more special, elevating the grandeur of being included in a Vogue shoot. The selected pieces for the sophisticated & classic shoot not only bends the brain into a fall-ready state of being, but also puts the Emmy-nominated actor of the hit HBO series on par with other fashionable celebrities like Eddie Redmayne, James Franco, Ezra Miller, & even Brad Pitt. Although, I’m sure none of them held a sheep around their shoulders wearing nothing but jeans & hanging suspenders.

Adam Driver & Daria Werbowy for Vogue September 2013 02 Adam Driver & Daria Werbowy for Vogue September 2013 03 Adam Driver & Daria Werbowy for Vogue September 2013 04 Adam Driver & Daria Werbowy for Vogue September 2013 05 Adam Driver & Daria Werbowy for Vogue September 2013 06 Adam Driver & Daria Werbowy for Vogue September 2013 07

If I wasn’t already enamored with Adam’s same-name character (although in the show, he’s Sackler & not Driver), I’m wondering what his fictional persona would say about the beautifully classic & modern take on fall fashion. The fairer half of the stylish duo includes Daria in Michael Kors, Dries Van Noten, Prada, Alberta Ferretti, Ralph Lauren Collection, Jil Sadler, & Céline.

Naturally, I’ll soon be featuring more images from the magazine, particularly a behind-the-scenes look of Jennifer Lawrence’s cover shoot. Ad Madness: Gisele Bundchen Models For H&M Latest Fall Campaign!

Gisele Bundchen for H&M 01

Back in April, the world was swooning over Beyoncé‘s debut ad campaign for H&M, but now that the fall is here, the Swedish retailer is pursuing a fresh, new look for its latest collection. The answer to this is none other than Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen, who looks nothing short of fabulous wearing the polished & preppy fall duds.

Gisele Bundchen for H&M 02 Gisele Bundchen for H&M 03 Gisele Bundchen for H&M 04 Gisele Bundchen for H&M 05

These images call on everything that’s great about fall fashion, like fluffy sweaters, deep saturated hues, rich textures & luxe layers, sharp accessories, & sophisticated outerwear. Even though the summer isn’t over yet & you shouldn’t pack up your maxi dresses or gladiator sandals, but planning ahead for some killer new fashions for autumn isn’t such a bad idea either.

What do you think of Gisele as H&M’s newest spokesmodel? What fall must-haves are on your shopping list? Quickie Darling Deal & Steal: Fast Food Makes For Fast Fashion!

I’ve hit a recent road bump in terms of blogging. My precious laptop has self-destructed & I’m very thankful to be working on a loaner computer, which means that I’m without some of my valued resources in terms of presenting images here, but I’m making due. With this, I’ve also found myself intrigued by the idea of sharing unconventional ideas using limited technology.

Anyway… I’d like to bring up the idea of fast food & fashion. When I took on a second job with less than pleasing hours, I knew I’d be hitting the drive-up more often than not, but now that I have a routine for myself, I’m steering clear of unhealthy foods for my meals. However, among Forever 21‘s newest arrivals there’s a trend happening that I’m not sure about, which is why I’m bringing it to my readers’ attention.

Forever 21 tees $12.80 - $13.80

Surely, there’s a certain demographic that can get away with tops like these, hence why they’re perfect for Forever 21. The fun hamburger muscle tee ($12.80), cheesy cropped muscle tee ($12.80), & French fries muscle tee ($13.80) are all things casual to wear with jeggings & a boyfriend blazer, a leather mini skirt & platform slingbacks, as well as with skinny pants & a knit cardigan.

I love to a good graphic tee, but my style calls for something feminine, perhaps with some metallic element, a nod to Paris or shoe shopping, or embellished with ribbons or rhinestones so that I can dress up an army green cargo skirt or get a chic daytime look out of printed jeans. However, how do you feel about the designs on these tees? Do fashion & food work together?

Top 10 Celeb Sightings: LBDs, Florals, & Structured Polish From Jennifer Aniston, Diane Kruger, Selena Gomez, & More!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I’m trying to catch up the biggest headlines in fashion, while keeping my budget in mind, especially since I’m currently on a shopping fast to cleanse not just my soul, but also my savings account! However, what better way to indulge in fashion than to check out the latest red carpet looks from our favorite celebrities. Between We Are The Millers & Mortal Instruments, I’m kind of obsessed with seeing how young Hollywood & veteran Style Darlings are keeping their cool during these last few weeks of summer.

My top picks include both of Jennifer Aniston‘s looks, including a flirty LBD by Alexander McQueen that she accessorized with a leather corset belt, as well as the former Friends star in a feminine floral Christian Dior dress with sleek ankle-strap Casadei stilettos. Also, I’m loving Amanda Seyfried‘s metallic polka dot Gucci frock with Givenchy heels & The Bridge actress, Diane Kruger, in a structured plaid Carven midi dress with nude Stuart Weitzman pumps.

Also included in the gallery are the always lovely Ashley Greene in a studded Temperley London shift dress, style blogger / Revenge star Ashley Madekwe‘s stunning yellow jumpsuit by Diane von Furstenberg with a vintage Chanel belt, Julianne Hough‘s Halston HeritageBec & Bridge separates look, Pretty Little Liars bombshell Lucy Hale‘s Paper London ensemble, Olivia Wilde‘s wild printed Clover Canyon midi dress, & lastly, pop star Selena Gomez showing some leg in a green Cushnie et Ochs dress with nude Nicholas Kirkwood pumps.

Watch This Style: The Trailer To ‘Diana,’ Starring Naomi Watts!

Diana movie poster

September is just around the corner, which means that it’s time to start thinking about awards season in Hollywood. One of the films at the top of my must-see list is Diana, starring Naomi Watts at the People’s Princess, Diana of Wales. The movies follows the last two years of her life, surrounded by the paparazzi, trying to keep her romance a secret, & make a difference with her human rights activism.

Naomi Watts in Diana

A second, fuller trailer recently hit the web, featuring a more in-depth look at the biopic, sure to add another slew of accolade to the film’s star. I’ve loved reading about & seeing early released images of the royal style icon who met an early, untimely end.

The film is due out in the U.K. on September 20th, directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel, also starring Naveen Andrews & Douglas Hodge. Check out the trailer below to see Diana brought back to life on the big screen! Ad Madness: Ashlee Simpson Models For Sister’s Fall 2013 Jessica Simpson Collection Campaign!

Among all the celebrity sisterly duos, I have to say that the Simpsons, Jessica & Ashlee that is, are my favorite. While their musical careers may have lost their spark, it’s safe to say that the Texas natives are feeling good taking on fashion. The Jessica Simpson Collection has been successful with plenty of feminine apparel items & flirty accessories like platforms & sandals that are perfect for any wardrobe.

Ashlee Simpson for Jessica Simpson Collection 01

For the Fall 2013 collection, new mom Jess enlisted the help of her edgier rock & roll-esque baby sister, Ashlee, as the face of the latest line, which includes a stylish variety of casual dresses, date-worthy pieces, girlie jewelry, & trendy separates, as seen in the images above & below!

Ashlee Simpson for Jessica Simpson Collection 03

In a recent interview with People Style Watch, Ashlee shared that “I have a pretty cool sister with an amazing sense of style, and I was honored to get to do the shoot… We keep it in the family. Jessica’s a fun one to work with.”

Red Carpet Review: Lily Collins’ Stylish Press Tour For ‘The Mortal Instruments’!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Lily Collins is the it-girl of the summer, while promoting her latest film Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. She’s been hitting the red carpet, making talk show appearances, & showing off her youthful & daring style, establishing herself as one of the most in-demand Style Darlings of the summer! She’s on trend with cut-outs, high-low hemlines, ankle-strap pumps, & bold red lips, all while donning duds by designers like Cushnie et Ochs, Valentino, Roland Mouret, Paper London, & Versace! While she’s known for her thick eyebrows, I’m starting to see more & more classic style from the young actress, with influences like Grace Kelly, Elizabeth Taylor, & Audrey Hepburn!

What do you think of Lily’s red carpet style? Which actress are you looking out for this summer? Is Mortal Instruments on your must-have movie list? Show Me The Shoes: What To Buy From H&M’s New Online Store!

It’s about time that H&M got on board the online retailer train, especially in the United States! While I’ve yet to find the time to do some serious shopping, I can’t wait to see what’s going on around Black Friday & with holiday specials. However, I wanted to share my latest obsession, which is the ankle strap pumps with studs ($29.95)!

H&M - Ankle Strap Pumps $29

The ankle strap trend has been all over the red carpet lately & the best way to bring it into fall is with these pumps. Of course, there’s the metallic studding, which automatically brings these from day-to-night, but I also love the animal-inspired embossed texture. Classic black pumps, pointy or round, are essentials for any shoe collection, but if you’re looking for something versatile that you can get a lot of wear from, then I recommend these with any LBD, a 70’s-inspired jumpsuit, or printed sheath dress.

Watch This Style: Behind-The-Scenes With Chloe Grace Moretz In Glamour’s September Issue!

Chloe Grace Moretz for Glamour September 2013 01

Chloe Grace Moretz is paving the way for a much more stylish young Hollywood, including the likes of Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld, We Bought A Zoo star Elle Fanning, & Mad Men actress Kiernan Shipka. Chloe, who stars in the upcoming Kickass 2 sequel & horror remake Carrie, is featured in Glamour‘s September issue, with Jennifer Aniston on the cover.

The accomplished actress has appeared in such films as Martin Scorsese’s Hugo, Dark Shadows with Johnny Depp & Michelle Pfeiffer, Texas Killing Fields alongside Jessica Chastain, & the 2010 screamer Let Me In.  In the magazine, the sixteen-year-old tries on multiple makeup looks, including a dramatic, dark lip, as well as retro hairstyles familiar to Hollywood veterans. Ad Madness: Michelle Williams Is The New Face Of Louis Vuitton!

Michelle Williams for Louis Vuitton 01

I knew that being away for so long & out of touch with the latest fashion news would make me (almost) miss some really great stories tos hare here on Style Darling. This includes the latest from the fall ad campaign circuit, which is three-time Oscar nominee Michelle Williams showing off her darker, dramatic side for Louis Vuitton. The usually ethereal girly-girl of the red carpet is shedding her bombshell Marilyn Monroe / sweetheart Glinda image in this images seen above & below!

Michelle Williams for Louis Vuitton 02

The ads are celebrating the latest in handbags from the brand’s Autumn / Winter 2013-14 line, including the W and the Capucines, by photographer Peter Lindbergh. However, it’s Michelle here who really steals the spotlight from the luxury accessories with her sensual wine-hued pout & a rocker-inspired shaggy ‘do.

What do you think of Michelle’s turn as LV spokesmodel? Do you like her new, dramatic look? Which ads are catching your attention for the upcoming season? Runway Rundown: Viktor & Rolf’s Fall 2013 Haute Couture Collection!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Seems like the all-white looks that we’re seeing are celebrities on & off the red carpets are going away in the fall, especially with a head-to-toe black line, as seen in my latest gallery for Viktor & Rolf‘s Fall 2013 Haute Couture Collection. Here we have a very minimalist approach, mixed with plenty of cloak shapes & dramatic structure. Of course it takes a daring fashionista to try one of these looks, but given the right occasion, I’m sure we’ll be seeing lots of black in the future.

Which haute couture collections have inspired you? Which designers are your favorites? For more from Runway Rundown, check out previous posts including Giorgio Armani, Elie Saab, Valentino, Giambattista Valli, & Chanel! Happy Styling!

Watch This Style: Claire Danes Goofs Around Behind-The-Scenes with Vogue!

Claire Danes for Vogue August 2013

I can’t wait for Homeland to come back for a fierce third season, but in the mean time, the stars of the Showtime drama are hitting the pages of Vogue‘s August 2013 issue. Cover girl Claire Danes recreates her on-screen dynamic with co-star Damien Lewis in a series of fashionable shots. In the video below, the pair playfully name their favorites… including movies, characters, physical attributes, & so forth. It’s funny & sweet to see the actress so light & humorous, when she’s always so serious on the small screen & when it comes to fashion.

Top 10 Celeb Sightings: Lots Of White, B/W Looks, & Booties, Featuring Vanessa Hudgens, Gwen Stefani, & More!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I’m all packed & ready to hit the road tomorrow for a highly anticipated break from reality while attending a very intense, yet chic Writer’s Conference out in Southampton for the next eleven days… which means that posts may be sparse for the rest of the month. However, I wanted to leave readers with plenty of inspiration, including some of my favorite celebrity looks who are toting head-to-toe white, black & white ensembles, & fall-ready designer booties that I can’t wait to put on my own feet! My top picks include Salma Hayek Pinault in a printed Christopher Kane dress with seriously stylish Giuseppe Zanotti booties. Also, there’s much to talk about with the usually belly-baring Rihanna who couldn’t look cooler or more casual, as well as supermodel Karolina Kurkova in elegant menswear-inspired separates & Kristen Wiig in a Viktor & Rolf shift dress at an NYC screening for her new film, Girl Most Likely.

My gallery also includes Gwen Stefani working the printed pant trend, young actress Holland Roden in a pretty Naeem Khan frock, Kelly Rowland testing gravity in a flouncy dress & towering booties, tennis star Maria Sharapova in a Valentino shift dress, socialite Olivia Palermo continuing her stylish streak, & Vanessa Hudgens in a cropped sweater by Catherine Malandrino.

Who wore your favorite looks? Do you wear all-white? Are you breaking out your ankle booties just yet? Ad Madness: Lanvin’s 60s-Inspired Fall 2013 Campaign!

Along with the new fall previews hitting the pages of the best fashion magazines, you can expect lots to look at when it comes to ads for the biggest brands with the most stylish collections. I’m certainly paying attention to texture, pattern, shine, & accessories, especially when there’s plenty of 60s-inspired silhouettes to Lanvin‘s Fall 2013 campaign. Also, I love the nod to Hitchcock heroines like Grace Kelly & Janet Leigh, as well as plenty of Mad Men-chic looks. This is a more memorable ad with an elegant Aflac-esque duck held by the models, as quirkily demonstrated by director Alber Elbaz with shots taken by Steven Meisel of House + Holme.

Watch This Style: Finally! Rooney Mara’s Short Film For Calvin Klein’s Downtown!

Rooney Mara for Calvin Klein's Downtown fragrance

Back in May, I posted the debut image of Rooney Mara for Calvin Klein‘s newest fragrance Downtown. Now, the brand has released the short film for the perfume, directed by Girl with the Dragon Tattoo visionary David Fincher, which features a rarely cheerful leading lady. The black-&-white minute-long film hits up the subway, dances with children, & wears the most gorgeous of fashions all to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs song, “Runaway.”
