Supermodel Cara Delevingne is a star on the rise, aside from her catwalk fame & awesome-by-association with besties like Taylor Swift & Rihanna. She’s been getting major buzz since the world of fashion media caught wind of her killer street style & enviable red carpet looks. She’s a sure-fire Style Darling who takes risks in modern menswear, minimalistic chic ensembles, & utilitarian pieces, making her a style icon. Recently, she mixed up her off-duty style for an appearance in London in an Equipment star-print ruffled blouse (shop here @Farfetch) with a Saint Laurent blazer (shop here @Net-A-Porter), black skinny pants, initial pendants (shop similar here @Max & Chloe), & black ankle strap sandals (shop similar here @Calvin Klein) at a photo call for her new film, Paper Towns.

Amanda Seyfried paired together a scalloped lace blouse & black tiered lace mini by Red Valentino with black criss cross Christian Louboutin pumps at the 30th Annual Women of Achievement Awards. Powerhouse actress / director Elizabeth Banks was red-hot in an Osman halter dress with a mesh panel front with a red clutch & satin Sophia Webster sandals. at the L.A. premiere of Love and Mercy. British import Emily Blunt looked sleek in a midnight Elisabetta Franchi jumpsuit with Ofira diamond jewelry & sparkly silver pumps (shop here) by Kurt Geiger London. Last night’s #MetGala at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art honored Asian-inspired fashion with Anna Wintour‘s latest exhibition, China: Through the Looking Glass. In attendance were top A-listers from the realms of fashion, music, Hollywood, & more, wowing on the red carpet & showing support for the art of fashion. Some of the greatest risk takers of the night included Rihanna in a stunning  over-the-top gold design by Guo Pei, Beyoncé‘s barely there shimmering gown by Givenchy, Jennifer Lopez who showed off her best assets in a Versace design, Sarah Jessica Parker‘s collaboration with H&M & a masterfully crafted Philip Treacy headpiece, the always elegant Kerry Washington in a pink Prada confection, & Anne Hathaway‘s futuristic & sleek hooded gold gown by Ralph Lauren.

The stars have been hitting the latest in Paris Fashion Week, while also making the rounds at various press events looking nothing short of fabulous. The latest trend for in-between-seasons is black & white pieces, whether it’s a one-piece colorblocked look, or timeless, menswear-inspired separates. Also, even though awards season has ended, the ladies of the red carpet are sure to be seen in the most photo-worthy frocks. Some of my favorite looks from the last two weeks includes Allison Williams in a Prabal Gurung silk set, Jessica Alba‘s Valentino jumpsuit, & Naomi Watts‘ little white dress look by Louis Vuitton.

Inside A Style Blogger’s Closet: Where Style Meets Darling!

I’ve spent a great deal of time the last 2 weeks shopping & preparing my closet for fall-ready fashions, but nothing makes me happier than documenting this trial of trends. I did a serious workout this Sunday doing the great closet switch, which included all my bags, shoes, dresses, & other everyday apparel from the spring / summer now tucked in whatever storage space I have & in its place are the loads of fall / winter glam with which I am obsessed.

Of course this was no shallow feat of materialism, this required a great deal of soul-searching via style!  I thought it would have to be a full weekend process, but my motivation was high & level of organization was even higher, so I banged it out without tribulation! I have a limited space to work with & I’m happy to share what I’ve got!

One day I’ll have a spacious walk-in or a better organizer, but I have my shoeboxes labelled, tops color-coordinated, dresses & skirts separated by texture & length.  You see all those shoeboxes?  Well, they’re 99% from Payless & I love the sturdiness of the Lela Rose boxes sold @Payless.

My adventure did go beyond the closet as I reorganized by color, the slew of hand-made headbands that I try to wear regularly.  I have them also organized by color, but as you can see from the clothing above & headbands below, I love my black!  One of these days I’ll get my Etsy shop running (making Stacey of EtsyBrook very happy) & then you can get your hands on those bands too!
