I love a maxi dress, especially a printed one with so much styling versatility. I can’t wait for spring & summer to come to Long Island, so that I can float everywhere I go in a maxi dress! Naturally, I support a maxi dress that’s also inclusive!
With this dress, one could break out a bolero cardigan, crochet cropped sweater, or a long sleeve duster for cooler nights. The faded hues & timeless prints get me thinking about the 90s with chunky wedge sandals or lace-up boots!
As the barrage of end-of-winter sales are coming to a close soon, it’s time to stock up on next season’s essentials. No matter how many time I examine & reorganize my bursting sweaters shelves, I can’t help but notice what colors & styles are missing. Suddenly, inspiration strikes & I click add-to-cart!
SHOP: essential dolman sweater in winter white, heather gray, syrah red, dark purple, golden seal, & blue destiny @New York & Company (on sale: $10.00, limited availability in sizes XS-XXL).
I have the burgundy sweater, which I’m excited to wear with plaid pants & a statement necklace for a work day. The weight of the sweater is just right & I’m thinking about adding the white & gold since they’re such a great price right now!
For yesterday’s (mild) snow day, I wanted an easy, but chic work look that kept me warm & felt effortless. I knew my knee boots were in order, along with velvet leggings, but I volleyed between sweater & accessories options until I realized that I hadn’t broken out my new silver necklace!
Once I happily settled on the necklace, I immediately thought of my purple dolman sweater since silver & purple are such a glorious pairing. I love how classic this necklace is, while also being lightweight, adjustable in length, & a no-fuss kind of necklace, which is why I call it my anti-statement necklace. It has just enough shine, but it’s not too much. Not to mention that the price is right! I’d love to also contrast the subtle texture on the necklace with a floral or stripe print, along with cobalt & powder pink tops.
The colors of this upcoming spring season are pink & green in any shade you can mix them into your look. Of course, pull-up capris or wide leg pants make for a chic outfit, but skirts never go out of style & shouldn’t be forgotten about.
I love the styling possibilities here with a button-down shirt, lightweight sweater, or tee & denim jacket, which can be styled with a cardigan, layered necklaces, & tennis shoes or slingback sandals.
We’re getting another step closer this awards season to a big Oscar night, but we’ve gotta talk about the incredible old Hollywood glamour from Sunday night’s Screen Actors Guild Awards! Last night’s NAACP Image Awards was, in my opinion so far, the standout of glamour this awards season. Stars hit all the right fashion notes with glitzy embellishments, revealing necklines, gam-filled slits, & high voltage hues on the gorgeous red carpet! Zendaya, in a show-stopping Versace gown, stole the show & I’m crazy about her hair! Take a look at the gallery below for all the best looks!

Recently, I posed a poll question on my IG Stories of flats are out & loafers, mules, & sneakers are the new go-to footwear for many occasions. To my surprise, the majority of voters weren’t into flats anymore & the alternatives dominated responses. However, my never-ending search for cute & stylish flat continues with this recent find.
SHOP:faux suede slingback flats in black Jack, mocha taffy, pale glass, & flower tail @Old Navy ($30.00, get 30% off with code: HURRY, available in sizes 6-11).
I love the pastel mint hue, as well as the pink ones, which I can already envision with a spring dress & cardigan or blazer-tee-jeans combination. Old Navy has so many sale & coupons, it’d be hard to pass these up.
Walmart is really stepping up their pajama game with the Joyspun brand, which also now includes adorable sets in fun patterns, if you’re in need of sprucing up your sleepwear options!
SHOP:Joyspun knit notch collar top & capris 2-piece set in dark navy lemon, black soot, completely pink dot, lavender touch tile, peach cobbler floral, multi stripe, neela blue stripe, & neela blue travel @Walmart ($16.98, available in sizes S-3X).
I’m not a big fan of button-downs at night, but the patterns on these sets, especially the lemon & blue travel options, have me excited for warmer weather nights!
Emily Blunt has it all! She’s likable, talented, hardworking, stylish, & a classic icon on the big screen! When I learned that, like me, she’s celebrating her 40th birthday this year, I knew I had to collect as many fabulous images of her fashion history since she gets it right every time. Whether she’s as elegant as an English rose in draped one-shoulder gowns, going bold in a metallic with cut-outs, playing up bright colors in suit separates, or donning embroidery & playful patterns, she’s always the best dressed & surprising fashophiles!

Aside from a pair of sneakers & wedges, any color of these slides will look stylish & fresh with a maxi dress & drop earrings, a swimsuit & cover up, a printed tee & linen shorts, or shorts romper & cardigan. Personally, I’ve got my eye on the gold pair since a neutral metallic is my summer go-to, but I also do love the green option.
This weekend’s BAFTAs were a spectacle of cinema & fashion, but the celebration didn’t stop there as the after parties were all about glam, sparkle, & drama. On a recent quick trip to Walmart, I took a stroll down the clearance-lined shoe aisle, & came across these dramatic knotted flats, perfect when needing a classic black option with a little extra flair—for only $7!
These were originally $30.00, so they’re at steal currently, if you can find them. I can’t wait to pair these with a fit & flare dress, printed tights, & embellished cardigan.
And below is my daughter, ever so proud of my bargain find!
I love a flowy top with feminine details, especially when it comes in multiple colors. I’m gearing up for spring & taking the time to reconsider my warm-weather casual wardrobe & this top just happens to come across my social media feed:
SHOP:Time & Tru peplum top in golden torch, mauve glow, black soot, & blue ash @Walmart ($13.98, available in sizes XS-XXXL).
I’ve purchased all 4 colors & tried them on; however, I’m not sold on them just yet, as they’re living in my “return” tote bag. They seem to look great on everyone on LTK, but I have some hesitations for my XL frame. Maybe I just need to style them up. We’ll see… All & all, Time & Tru is doing s fabulously fashionable job at encouraging this cool-girl spring—& summer—we’re all about to have!
Since my work week includes 2 night at my second job, I sometimes have the opportunity to change outfits from the typical gussied-up classroom look to something more laid back, but still fashionable. This usually entails—at least at this time of the year—a cozy pullover sweater & a big earring or necklace that might otherwise be too “extra” for the day. I’ve had my eye on several “big” earrings lately & can’t wait to hop on board this next bright beadwork accessories trend:
Target’s A New Day brand has done it again! They’re on the pulse of spring-summer with flattering, inclusive must-haves that make me want to book a vacation now & purchase a whole new wardrobe for it. When it comes to the warmer seasons & feminine frocks, you just can’t go wrong with eyelet!
My only wish is that these had thicker straps so that I wouldn’t have to rely on a strapless bra, even if you’re meant to go bra-less with it. Curvier girls need support!
If you’re looking for a last-minute Valentine’s or Galentine’s gift for a lovely loved one, then head over to Macy’s star for a gift set bargain! Better yet, get these for yourself!
At such a can’t-miss final sale price, how could you go wrong with any of these sets? I’m not usually one to coordinate exactly when it comes to jewelry as I prefer to mix it up, but a classic pendant like this can be worn for a special occasion, with a collared shirt, or layered with other chains.
Happy Valentine’s Day, Style Darlings! To bring a—temporary—close to all the loved-themed goods, I wanted to post a reminder that self-love, in whatever form works for you, is the best way to honor yourself so that you can love others.
I’ll always wear hearts & spread the message of love, no matter what time of year it is. Currently, I’m swooning over all of the love-themed duds for Valentine’s Day that add joy, humor, & charm to any look. Here are 5 tops that would be perfect for multiple occasions, but definitely deserve some Valentine’s styling too:
Rihanna, a 9-time Grammy winner & recent Oscar nominee, has returned to the stage—one of the biggest stages in the world with her exciting performance at Super Bowl LVII. In addition to the showstopping medley of her best hits, while decked out in Loewe & Maison Margiela, the singer also used her platform to announce her second pregnancy.
Watch the pre-show press conference about the celebration of her catalogue & Caribbean heritage in the show:
The red carpet of last night’s BRIT Awards wowed with over-the-top fa-shun from the likes of major recording artists—which is really no surprise, but a lot of fun to write about—such as “As It Was” singer Harry Styles in an all-black statement flower suit, the iconic Sam Smith taking black latex to the next level, superstar Lizzo in full metallic glam, pop singer Ellie Goulding donning brunette locks in a leather armor-inspired ensemble, a suave Lucien Laviscount from Emily in Paris, & actress Jodie Turner-Smith owning the liquid gold look.

Are we thinking about summer yet? I mean, it’s nice to daydream & I definitely don’t want to wish the rest of cozy winter & romantic spring away, but… when I see a great summer item deal that’s inclusive for many sizes with a variety of styling potential, I can’t help but gush about it. Some of you may think that a printed tee isn’t the most stylish piece in a wardrobe, but these colors & prints from Old Navy mean business!
I love all of the prints of these! When it comes to summer staples, I’m a sucker for fruits, so the oranges are on my radar. I love that even though these can obviously be paired with casual items like denim cut-offs or linen pants, you can also elevate them with a blazer & pull-on pants or an open cardigan & belted midi skirt.
For the full-time work week, more than half the week includes a 3-piece outfit topped by a cardigan. This means that I need OPTIONS! My go-to store for cardigans of all kinds (that are also quality) is New York & Company. I miss their stores so much, but the variety of EVERYTHING on their website is making due—obviously if you’ve seen my cardigan collection.
Now is the time of year that the winter must-haves are getting marked down to make wave for stylish spring duds, which brings me to post about these $10 long-sleeve cardigans!
If there’s one retailer that’s been catching my eye when it comes to jewelry & accessories this past winter season, it’s LOFT. Now that the winter statement pieces are on deep discount, the deals just keep getting better & better! Also, as we slowly move away from the dark, rich hues of winter layers & sweaters, it’s time to start embracing (or, at least, planning for) pastels for spring separates. I have just the jewelry deal for pretty pinks, sweet greens, lovely lavenders, & sparkling peaches for you!
I already nabbed the necklace for a great discounted price, but the matching earrings are definitely worth considering. I wouldn’t necessarily match the necklace with the earrings since I love to mix up matchy-matchy pieces with other items in my jewelry collection, but the colors bring a smile to my face & the sparkles are just… EVERYTHING!
For me, 2023 is all about being a little extra. I love a statement piece, especially jewelry, but a fierce pair of heels or booties can totally transform an outfit. While I do love a classic black, gray, or camel boot as a neutral for a variety of looks, let’s talk about these:
I love the bright purple hue, as well as the thick heel & scrunched look at the ankle. I can imagine these dressing up a tunic sweater & leggings, as well as a button-down & skinny jeans. However, they will also work with a sweater dress & hoop earrings, along with a jumpsuit & blazer combination. While the heels are not available in wide width, they are currently marked down from their original $44.99 price tag, which makes them much more tempting to order. We’ll see…
