SHOP NOW!: Short-Sleeve Pajama Sets for Under $19!

It’s a slow, gray winter here on Long Island, but there have been plenty of cozy days & dreams of warmer weather. As I’ve had some down time to organize dressers, closets, & cabinets, I’ve been preparing for those warmer weather days, assessing wardrobe staples that I have & want to keep, what to donate, & what to get. Perhaps adulthood has instilled a much more regimented preparation of sleepwear, or that I’m so impressed by the ease my toddler daughter’s matching pajama sets, but I love to wear a set & have struggled to find a lightweight short-sleeve & cropped pant set to my liking…until now!

SHOP: Joyspun jewel neck flutter sleeve pajama set in 8 colors / patterns @Walmart ($18.98, available in sizes S-3XL).

I was immediately drawn to the leopard print & black with kisses sets, which are already stored for warmer months. Of course, there are so many pajama styles, including button-down tops or drawstring shorts, but I’ve always been looking for something soft without any buttons & something that colors my legs while sleeping. I’m really excited to break these out on a summer vacation or when hanging around the house for a lazy Saturday morning having pancakes with the family & cuddling up for cartoons. The material is very lightweight & I’m so pleased with the size inclusivity for the variety of colors & patterns. Joyspun has done it again!

SHOP NOW: The Softest Pajama Pants (On Clearance)!

When it comes to sleepwear, I am so picky, it’s almost embarrassing. However, I am all about comfort & coverage, no matter the season. As I started to recognize how overworn much of my pajama bottoms & loungewear clothing were getting during the pandemic—I was working full-time from home for 15 months. I decided to make the investment in go-to bottoms, especially for the warmer nights when I still prefer my legs be covered up.

The always reliable & affordable Target brand, Stars Above, proved the right choice with the Beautifully Soft Cropped Pajama Pant & now, most of the selection is on clearance. I bought 2 black pair & 1 navy pair. Not only are they comfortable to sleep in & easy to care for, they also double as acceptable loungewear bottoms if you have to run out for an errand or two or are spending the weekend home doing light chores or enjoying family time.

The women’s XS-XL styles in gray, black, & navy are currently limited in availability (on sale: $14.44), but they can also be found in plus (1X-4X) in gray, black, & navy with limited availability ($16.99).

Holiday Gift Styles: Cozy & Cute Sleepwear!

As we gear up for all the Black Friday fuss, start making your lists now of what you’re getting your loved ones, especially those stylish ones. A holiday favorite when it comes to gifts is sleepwear because everybody likes to cuddle up in style, feel relaxed & perhaps with a little sense of humor, don something cheeky (literally too, but this isn’t that kind of post). Everywhere I go, I see all sorts of fun holiday & season-themed pajama sets, night shirts, pajamas, slippers, & socks. I know winter isn’t as bad everywhere like it is in the northeast, but keeping it cozy & chic on heavy snow days & chilly evenings with a cup of tea always warms my heart & wardrobe. Here are some sweet suggestions on how Santa can help dress you & your friends for the season!

SHOP: black sleep set @dressbarn, santa pajamas @Target, one-piece microfleece pajamas @Kohl’s, lace print pajamas @TJMaxx, Terry kimono robe @Macy’s, green sleep tee @Victoria’s Secret, & pink sleep tee @Victoria’s Secret.

Top 10 Celeb Sightings: Menswear, Pajamas, Leather & Lace, & Plaid Trends As Seen On Taylor Swift, Krysten Ritter, & Jaime King!

After what’s starting out to be a party-filled weekend, I can’t help but look back at the headline-making red carpet appearances from the last week. Of course, I’m headed to birthday parties & Halloween celebrations, not galas, premieres, or press events, but there’s also prepping for this nasty hurricane in the hopes that it simply whispers passed Long Island & the rest of the Northeast. So if you’re not talking about Sandy, start talking about style.  Some of my favorite looks include major trends seen on & off the runway recently, teaching us budget shoppers how to make it work.

However, if you’re a celebrity, or have a very talented stylist, the chic pajama look, as seen on Jaime King, may not be such a stretch.  Also, Taylor Swift is plugging her latest album, Red, wearing a vibrant red top & plaid tea-length skirt, paying homage to her Southern following.  Not to mention that the always lovely Lauren Conrad is mixing it up with a leather dress by Johanna Johnson with some fierce Christian Louboutins.  Where’s there’s leather, there’s also lace & by that, I mean a sizzling silver-coated Halle Berry in Dolce & Gabbana, as well as a corseted overlay Jason Wu look worn by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

If you’re trying to recreate menswear, look to No Doubt frontwoman & fashion icon Gwen Stefani for her Gucci & satin sexy tuxedo look, frosted in Neil Lane, as well as Don’t Trust The B**** In Apartment 23 star Krysten Ritter whose military-inspired jacket by Robert Rodriguez, paired with sandals from Rachel Zoe Collection screams fall-friendly.  Speaking of K’s… Kristen Stewart‘s graphic romper by Louis Vuitton is modern & edgy for the budding Style Darling in Brian Atwoods.

I couldn’t forget about newcomer Berenice Marlohe, of Skyfall, in the ravishing Elie Saab confection, as well as red carpet favorite, Sarah Jessica Parker in a sophisticated striped design by L’Wren Scott with Fred Leighton jewelry.

Who’s wearing your favorite look? Which of these celebrities do you follow on the red carpet? For more from Top 10 Celeb Sightings, be sure to check out posts featuring Emma Stone & Lea Michele, Jennifer Lopez, & Scarlett Johansson, & Amy Adams & Nicole Richie! Happy Styling!
