Runway Rundown: The Finale Runway Looks From Season 2 Of Project Runway All Stars!

It’s been almost a week since the season finale of Project Runway All Stars, where Season 9 designer & fan favorite, Anthony Ryan Auld, was crowned the winner, ahead of Uli Herzner & Emilio Sosa. Even though Uli was my personal favorite, I was very happy to see Anthony Ryan receive the accolade that he deserves. Courtesy of My Lifetime, I’m sharing a gallery of the final runway, featuring Anthony Ryan’s “Fine Line” looks first, followed by Emilio’s “Urban Plantation,” & lastly with Uli’s “Winter Wonderland.” This was one of the most exciting episodes of the season & I loved watching judges model Carolyn Murphy, Marchesa co-founder & designer Georgina Chapman, & American icon Isaac Mizrahi, sit with guest judges actress Liv Tyler & Missoni heir, Margherita Missoni.

Which were your favorite looks from the runway? Did your favorite designer win? Are you going to watch Season 11 of Project Runway this Thursday with new judge Zac Posen? For more from Project Runway posts, check out the looks from the graffiti challenge, the 10th anniversary Lord & Taylor challenge, the finale looks from Season 10 at Fashion Week, the runway from Anya Ayoung-Chee’s winning collection, & Dmitry Sholokov’s winning collection from Season 9! Top 10 Celeb Sightings: Sheaths, Lace, LBDs, & Ladylike Style Featuring Kate Middleton, Rachel Bilson, & Jessica Biel!

I’ve returned home to the middle-of-nowhere suburbs on Long Island, known for its malls & neighboring university hospital, & as I’m preparing the daunting task of unpacking my overpacked bags from my eleven-day Southampton-based excursion of style & writing, I’m sitting here at my laptop, absorbed in checking on the latest & greatest from my favorite websites (In Style mainly) to see what I’ve missed.

While the Olympics are underway in London & the summer blockbusters are hitting theaters stateside, some of the best dressed celebrities are hitting the red carpet & posing at press events.  Not to mention that all of our favorite fall television shows are returning to production & the stars are plugging their shows & pilots in some serious style. From actresses to singers to royalty, this edition of Top 10 Celeb Sightings is chalk full of chic sheath dresses, lacy frocks, revealing LBDs, & ladylike elegance, sure to spark some water cooler conversation (among Style Darlings, of course).

Check out Emmy Rossum in Zuhair Murad, Jaime King colorblocking, Jessica Biel in Oscar de la Renta, Kate Middleton repeating her Roksanda Ilincic dress, Katy Perry in Dolce & Gabbana, a red-hot Kylie Minogue, Liv Tyler rocking a risky babydoll, Lucy Liu in J. Mendel, Rachel Bilson in menswear-inspired separates, & Rachel Weisz in Dior Haute Couture. Happy Styling!

Luxury Look-Alikes For Less: Black & White Inspiration from Stella McCartney & Carolina Herrera Found @New York & Company!

We know that colorblocking is a big trend right now & Alicia Keys proves it as she struts her stuff in a black & white Stella McCartney design.  We’ve seen this cute before by McCartney, but it looks brand new, fresh, & super stylish every time! Kate Winslet, Liv Tyler, & Penelope Cruz have all been seen in it.

I wasn’t able to find the particular dress that Alicia is wearing in stores, but Neiman Marcus has a similarly designed frock by McCartney, costing nearly $1500.00, which can be viewed here.

Also, while I was flipping through the pages of the new April 2012 issue of Harper’s Bazaar & saw the Carolina Herrera colorblock dress ($2290.00), which is available @Saks.

However, I gasped when I saw these black & white versions b/c they reminded me so much of the black & white ponte colorblock sheath dress ($11.99) that I featured in Inside A Style Blogger’s Closet from New York & Company last month! The dress is now marked down significantly from its original $59.95 price, which is an incredible bargain! So it’s no secret that this design is figure-flattering & just about every hand in fashion & retail is trying to reach the stylish consumer with it.

What do you think about the colorblock dresses by Stella McCartney & Carolina Herrera? Which version is your favorite? Do you like the New York & Company version? Happy Styling!

Watch This Style: Liv Tyler Rocks Out For The Latest Givenchy Campaign For ‘Very Irresistible’!

Liv Tyler has been a spokesmodel for the French label Givenchy for quite some time now.  She’s showing off her rock roots & killer style in a new ad campaign for the brand’s fragrance Very Irresistible. While singing along to “Need You Tonight,” originally recorded by INXS, she looks amazing & puts other promo ads like Charlize Theron for Dior & Mena Suvari for Christian Siriano to shame! The video reminds me of a mix of Rihanna’s style meets Michael & Janet Jackson’s “Scream.” Check out the video & give Liv’s vocal chops a listen! Happy Styling!
