With all of the great end-of-the-season sales, I’m reveling in the final days of luxe, winter textures & deep, rich colors. Velvet has had a resurgence in all forms, especially when it comes to pieces that can work for both loungewear & work.
Try pairing this with plaid pants, faux leather leggings, dark denim jeans, wide-leg satin pants, or joggers. Also, the neckline is perfect for layered necklaces or a bold statement piece. I wish this too was available in other colors, but I guess that’s what happens when it comes to final sale items.
As the barrage of end-of-winter sales are coming to a close soon, it’s time to stock up on next season’s essentials. No matter how many time I examine & reorganize my bursting sweaters shelves, I can’t help but notice what colors & styles are missing. Suddenly, inspiration strikes & I click add-to-cart!

I’m not a big fan of button-downs at night, but the patterns on these sets, especially the lemon & blue travel options, have me excited for warmer weather nights!
Aside from a pair of sneakers & wedges, any color of these slides will look stylish & fresh with a maxi dress & drop earrings, a swimsuit & cover up, a printed tee & linen shorts, or shorts romper & cardigan. Personally, I’ve got my eye on the gold pair since a neutral metallic is my summer go-to, but I also do love the green option.
For weekend jaunts, lazy days at home, casual gatherings with friends, or going on a fabulous road trip, cozy loungewear is essential. Not to mention that these must-have staples at a discount are even better.
I have the blue floral, which is true to size & extra cozy. This can be styled up with faux leather leggings & sneakers or dark denim jeans & loafers. I love the color variety here & can envision even dressing this up with layered necklaces or over a button-down shirt. The possibilities are endless!
On a recent quick trip to Walmart, I took a stroll down the clearance-lined shoe aisle, & came across these dramatic knotted flats, perfect when needing a classic black option with a little extra flair—for only $7!
These were originally $30.00, so they’re at steal currently, if you can find them. I can’t wait to pair these with a fit & flare dress, printed tights, & embellished cardigan.

Since my work week includes 2 night at my second job, I sometimes have the opportunity to change outfits from the typical gussied-up classroom look to something more laid back, but still fashionable. Target’s A New Day brand has done it again! They’re on the pulse of spring-summer with flattering, inclusive must-haves that make me want to book a vacation now & purchase a whole new wardrobe for it. When it comes to the warmer seasons & feminine frocks, you just can’t go wrong with eyelet!
My only wish is that these had thicker straps so that I wouldn’t have to rely on a strapless bra, even if you’re meant to go bra-less with it. Curvier girls need support!

Once the sun comes out & the all that cold goes away, it’s time to break out some mules! The slide trend isn’t going away as we’re setting our feet free for another season of casual cool style.
I love the simplicity & of these with the braided, textured top. Additionally, they are versatile to wear for work, a weekend brunch with friends, a floral jumpsuit for a day date, or when running errands. My favorite is the black & white pair since it’s a polished contrast to other prints I may wear!
Are we thinking about summer yet? I mean, it’s nice to daydream & I definitely don’t want to wish the rest of cozy winter & romantic spring away, but… when I see a great summer item deal that’s inclusive for many sizes with a variety of styling potential, I can’t help but gush about it. I love all of the prints of these! When it comes to summer staples, I’m a sucker for fruits, so the oranges are on my radar. I love that even though these can obviously be paired with casual items like denim cut-offs or linen pants, you can also elevate them with a blazer & pull-on pants or an open cardigan & belted midi skirt.
For the full-time work week, more than half the week includes a 3-piece outfit topped by a cardigan. This means that I need OPTIONS! My go-to store for cardigans of all kinds (that are also quality) is New York & Company. I miss their stores so much, but the variety of EVERYTHING on their website is making due—obviously if you’ve seen my cardigan collection.

If there’s one retailer that’s been catching my eye when it comes to jewelry & accessories this past winter season, it’s LOFT. Now that the winter statement pieces are on deep discount, the deals just keep getting better & better! Also, as we slowly move away from the dark, rich hues of winter layers & sweaters, it’s time to start embracing (or, at least, planning for) pastels for spring separates. I have just the jewelry deal for pretty pinks, sweet greens, lovely lavenders, & sparkling peaches for you!
I already nabbed the necklace for a great discounted price, but the matching earrings are definitely worth considering. I wouldn’t necessarily match the necklace with the earrings since I love to mix up matchy-matchy pieces with other items in my jewelry collection, but the colors bring a smile to my face & the sparkles are just… EVERYTHING!
For me, 2023 is all about being a little extra. I love a statement piece, especially jewelry, but a fierce pair of heels or booties can totally transform an outfit. While I do love a classic black, gray, or camel boot as a neutral for a variety of looks, let’s talk about these:
I love the bright purple hue, as well as the thick heel & scrunched look at the ankle. I can imagine these dressing up a tunic sweater & leggings, as well as a button-down & skinny jeans. However, they will also work with a sweater dress & hoop earrings, along with a jumpsuit & blazer combination. I can’t believe I’m posting about shorts when it’s still so chilly here on Long Island, but spring break is in reach & I’m daydreaming about warmer days. However, a matching linen set is a stylish, fresh staple for any wardrobe, especially as sets are so on trend right now! Not to mention, I love mixing up colors & patterns for an array of possibilities.
I’m drawn to the green striped set, but thinking I’d get more use for switching up pieces with the navy stripes. I love a sleek stiletto pump! I love a pump with unique detail that offers more interest & luxury to any outfit. I love a pump in an unexpected color. I love a point toe. I’m crazy about this electric blue, though I wish it was also made in the same croc embossed texture as the black & white options. Additionally, a wide width alternative would be helpful, as well as other neutral colors, like tan, gray, & navy to wear with a sheath dress & blazer outfit, bow-neck blouse & pencil skirt look, & jogger jumpsuit ensemble.
It’s a slow, gray winter here on Long Island, but there have been plenty of cozy days & dreams of warmer weather.
