Show Me the Shoes: Pretty in Pink Flats!

In its fairest shade, pink is a neutral, perfect for matching up with nearly any spring, summer, or fall outfit. I myself do love a rose gold flat with some black tights, if the look demands it, in the winter too! And why shouldn’t a blush shoe be a neutral? It works very well for the upcoming fall season as well with a slew of hues, including navy, chocolate, olive, charcoal, burgundy, cobalt, mustard, hunter green, & so many more!

With all that build up, it’s no surprise that the pretty pink flats I’m featuring are not only pretty & pink, but also, they’re versatile considering their texture & design. I’ve never been a huge fan of the pink family, but over the years, my heart has started to skip a stylish beat when I see some rose gold jewelry. That’s extended into eyeshadow & accessories like shoes & belts too. However, for fall, take a look at these dressy, luxe, & feminine designs @Charlotte Russe to inspire a pop of pink where you might not have previously.

Accessories Access: Laser Cut Handbags, Shoes, & Belts for Spring!

In getting ready for spring (because it still isn’t here on Long Island—though we experienced two very magical spring-ish days before massive blizzards hit), I’m looking ahead, specifically to the trends I can’t wait to explore. One of the easiest ways to get into the mood of a new season is with accessories. My goal is to turn to some staple & classic pieces that I’ve collected from past seasons for my own looks. However, for some inspiration, I love seeing what’s new & stylish in stores & online right now to get me even more into a spring state of mine. Since I’m always interested in ways to mix patterns & textures to create a detailed & sophisticated look, I love the idea of laser cut accessories, which are typically faux leather, modern & feminine, & created in soft & neutral tones, to offset bold hues, floral prints, & abstract color combinations, especially when it comes to handbags, shoes, & belts. To achieve an affordable & fashionable take on spring, I’ve scoured the web & some of my favorite go-to stores to find the chicest ways to elevate your outfit, as well as help Style Darlings to transition from these last remaining chilly winter days & into a brighter & lighter spring style.

SHOP: black & white tote @dressbarn, nude scalloped crossbody @ASOS, beige handbag @Target, & white Western crossbody @Express.

In a world where reality stars (sometimes unfortunately) rule pop culture, there’s one who’s made an everlasting mark on the fashion world. That’s reality star-socialite-style-icon-fashion-blogger, Olivia Palermo. She’s been on the fashion radar for years & there’s nothing she can’t wear. Whether it’s mixing prints, playing with texture, donning luxe furs, bringing back the belt, taking risks with pops of color, & experimenting with every type of shoe under the sun, her style & beauty is utterly flawless.

Olivia PalermoThe designer darling is a favorite on the red carpet & of photogs’ when it comes to street style. Her level of sophistication is equal to haute couture gowns at the Cannes Film Festival & a casual day walking her dog in skinny jeans & ballet flats. Ever since I started gathering fashionable photo galleries on Style Darling’s Facebook page, I couldn’t help but think about Olivia’s masterful style strategy for taking over the web with one frock at a time.

Check out the gallery below, along with the inspiring slideshow, which can influence any tired wardrobe looking for a change. Rethink a metallic belt, statement necklace, chic coats, lace-up booties, peasant skirts, & a classic tote when putting together your ensemble with basics like a printed scarf, white button down, leather leggings, sparkly LBD, suede knee boots, & tortoise sunglasses. Not to mention that her effortless expression through fashion goes beyond trends since she can wear anything, including menswear, boho chic, minimalist, classic Hollywood, beachy, preppy, bombshell, city casual, utilitarian, girl next door, & ultra chic- all in the same week!

Show Me The Shoes: The New Hadley Flat From Julianne Hough’s New Sole Society Collection!

Julianne Hough for Sole SocietyI’ve been trying to keep an eye out for the latest & greatest in fall shoes, which is why I’m happy to share my new favorites from Julianne Hough‘s new collection for Sole Society. The more time I spend on my feet between both of my jobs & heading to class at night, the more I’m loving all of the flats in my shoe collection.

While Sole Society usually runs up on the high end of price points, I’m crazy about the Hadley sweetheart flats ($64.95) in stucco black, adobe black, French taupe, & jazzberry. I’ve never been a big fan of ankle straps on shoes, but these flats are a little extra special with the delicate patent & suede detail, as well as the open vamps, which recall a sophisticated d’orsay style.

Show Me The Shoes: Nude Patent Studded Flats From Steve Madden & Payless!

I’ve been working so much this summer that I haven’t given my heels & wedges the attention they deserve. Now that it’s September, I know there’s not much more time for them left; however, earlier this summer, I made an investment in a trendy, yet neutral ballet flat, which is perfect for all aspects of my life: 2 jobs & school. This purchase was the Brash Chaos stud flat ($16.99) from Payless (see below), which are marked down from their original $27.99 price tag.

Steve Madden - KSTUDD flats $19.99. Payless - Chaos stud flat $16.99.

I also checked out what was going on recently with Steve Madden‘s summer clearance, which is how I found the KSTUDD flat ($19.99) that offers a doubly stylish stud detail & is also reduced from the original $49.95 price.

I’m already picturing these with skinny jeans & a tunic sweater when running errands, a sheath dress & cardigan for the office, & a printed blouse with trousers for meeting the girls for brunch. How would you style these shoes? Which brand would you pick? Do you like the studded trend on shoes & accessories this fall?

After you’ve stuffed your face with all the yumminess of the holiday, head to your local mall or hit up the web to go shopping for some amazing deals @New York & Company, which is celebrating the season of giving by giving 50-70% off sale online & in-stores. Of course I’ve picked out some of my favorite pieces which comprise the chic look below.

The color skinny leg jeans ($29.97) in promenade purple caught my eye immediately & I love that they can be worn with heels for a date, or with cute flats like the faux leather metallic cap flats ($13.98) for day. Also, I paired this look with the side pleat deco print cowl-neck top ($8.98). For an additional pop of color & texture, I love the rich look of the sequin edge scarf ($9.97), perfect for any heavy wool coat or with a cool dark denim jacket.  Lastly, the faceted triple drop earrings ($7.97) in brown topaz are a chic neutral for any outfit, but they’re also available in black, lovely blue, dark blue, dark pink, & purple promenade.
