Show Me the Shoes: Because Everyone Needs Purple Suede Booties, Right?

For me, 2023 is all about being a little extra. I love a statement piece, especially jewelry, but a fierce pair of heels or booties can totally transform an outfit. While I do love a classic black, gray, or camel boot as a neutral for a variety of looks, let’s talk about these:

I love the bright purple hue, as well as the thick heel & scrunched look at the ankle. I can imagine these dressing up a tunic sweater & leggings, as well as a button-down & skinny jeans. However, they will also work with a sweater dress & hoop earrings, along with a jumpsuit & blazer combination. While the heels are not available in wide width, they are currently marked down from their original $44.99 price tag, which makes them much more tempting to order. We’ll see…

Just as fruit prints & tropical patterns are signature to summer, houndstooth is a symbol of fall as fashion transitions from the lightweight to the heavier layers. The black houndstooth that we all love to wear with more subdued solids is brightened with more than white as we see bright yellows, kelly green, & even magenta to experiment with this fashion forward menswear-inspired print. I’ve selected a few tops, bottoms, & shoes that are my favorites to recommend anyone who dares to be bold with this striking pattern.

First, I love the combination of houndstooth on these tops with the details over a trimmed neckline, neck-tie bow, & solid collar, which are perfect to match with a pencil skirt & pumps, joggers & ankle boots, or jeans & ballet flats.

I picked the Leggy wedge ($39.99) in camel multi leopard, which is perfect to match with a belted neutral shirt dress or with your favorite denim shorts & blouse.  The Heartbeat pumps ($39.99) in purple are essential for upgrading any office look- not to mention, they’re also available in blue. I featured the Love Fury ($39.99) pumps in a post last year in Black Friday Sale Update, but in red, however both pairs are now reduced from their original $89.00 price. Lastly, since I’m a sucker for animal print & ankle booties, I just had to include the Haywire booties ($39.99) in natural multi pony, which are probably the best deal I’ve seen on the Nine West site since they’ve been marked down from $129.00!
