Target’s A New Day brand has done it again! They’re on the pulse of spring-summer with flattering, inclusive must-haves that make me want to book a vacation now & purchase a whole new wardrobe for it. When it comes to the warmer seasons & feminine frocks, you just can’t go wrong with eyelet!
My only wish is that these had thicker straps so that I wouldn’t have to rely on a strapless bra, even if you’re meant to go bra-less with it. Curvier girls need support!

Fa-la-la! It’s holiday time for fun festivities to begin, especially when it comes to our accessories. It’s the season for extra sparkly bling & even the most literally holiday-riffic jewels. During a recent black hole viewing of Instagram stories (I’m not the only one, am I?), I came across a blogger sharing their interpretation for summer-to-fall teacher outfits, including A New Day’s high-rise slim straight pull-on pants @Target ($25.00, available in sizes XS-4X). There are 2 qualities about these pants that I loved right away: 1. They’re pull-on. Ever since I’ve had my daughter, pants with zippers are the enemy & pull-on pants are my loyal subjects! 2. They’re available in 8 neutral, professional colors / patterns.
The variety includes navy (windowpane), black pinstriped, gray (plaid), gray (& black/purple houndstooth), cream, green, brown, & black. So far, I’ve ordered all, except the black because they weren’t available in my size, & I’ve received the navy & gray houndstooth. They’re very comfortable & run true to size. I love the length (being that I’m 5’3″).
For a professional day, they will pair nicely with a blouse-cardigan-ballet flat combination or a short sleeve sweater & statement necklace with mule heels. I’d love to style these pants for more than just work though. When headed somewhere more casual, I can see pairing the solid options with a dolman top & sandals or a printed tee & wedges. As Mission: Get Organized continues, I feel like I’ve accomplished so much, but still have a long way to go; however, I haven’t lost my motivation. Having a reliable, stylish system is key to maintaining home organization in my cloffice & it’s of the utmost importance for my ample fashion jewelry collection that I’ve gifted myself during my years as a blogger, in retail, & as a stylist.
Months ago, I purchased 2 of these online, not quite knowing how I’d use them since I already have a few other stacking trays & jewelry boxes, but I knew I’d need plenty of options. While the trays can store all types of jewelry in varying sizes, I selected only shorter pendant necklaces & drop earrings—although I have 2 more sets of trays on the way, which was an even sweeter deal after Target’s $10 off $50 Circle offer! I love the bright color, which matches perfectly with my cloffice, along with the soft linen fabric!
I appreciate how everything can be seen in each layer & once I can see all of my jewelry, I’ll create a better system in storing by metal (gold tone, silver tone, or rose tone) or bead color, along with type of earring (chandelier, beaded, dangle, threaders, etc.) or if a pair has multiples in different colors, which will be helpful when I know I want a certain type of earring or necklace in a specific metal.
For the final image, I’m unsure how I’ll use the ring space since I’d like to keep this tray solely for necklaces, but perhaps once I recover all of my necklace extenders, I’ll be able to keep them here as well.
