Sometimes, there’s fashion in unexpected places, like Aldi! I’ve definitely purchased boots, slippers, ballet flats, & socks for myself in their “fun aisle,” never paying much attention to the clothing provided since I couldn’t try it on & didn’t want to bother with returns. However, as I’ve been in the hunt for a comfortable & basic blazer recently, I was pleased to come across the Serra ponte blazer in black & tan @Aldi ($17.99, available in sizes S-XL).

While this item can only be found in stores, also rolled up in the package, I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for an affordable & easy piece to wear over a blouse, dress, or jumpsuit. I had to steam the blazer when I wanted to wear it; also, I found the sleeves were a touch long for me, wearing the XL), but I was pleased with the fit & how I styled it for a professional occasion.

I’ll likely not get the tan option, but it would be a nice option to coordinate with plaids & with rich, fall colors, like hunter green, burgundy, & rust.

Now that it’s an acceptable 2 whole days after Halloween, the retail world is in full-fledged holiday mode, which kind of seems to be rushing things, but at the same time, I’m really excited for all the sparkle that’s about to hit the web, my cart, & ultimately, my wardrobe. I’m giving myself permission to be extra glittery so as to celebrate this fashionable time of the year, Case in point:

I’m a little sweater obsessed this time of year, though I wish it was consistently cool enough to wear one—at least here on Long Island. I hit up Old Navy last season BIG TIME for their velvet leggings, which will surely be a well-calculated investment on my part for this season, especially on cooler days & when I’m all about the leggings. Most of my loungewear pieces are fuss-free. I don’t want to zip, tie, cinch, or button anything on me, so the details are pretty minimal; however, when it comes to adding a feminine embellishment to a top or sweater for cooler days, I’m on board!
