12/17/2018 Darling of the Day: Jessica Alba’s Goes Gold!

Whenever I’m seeking out style inspiration from celebrities (on the red carpet or their street style), my mind immediately races with ideas on how readers (& myself) can make a look their (affordable) own. Style isn’t this inaccessible thing anymore since there are so many reasonably price retailers that look to high fashion sources for their own inspiration too. Hence my latest post featuring actress / entrepreneur Jessica Alba dressing down a gold sparkly blouse with a velvet blazer by Frame (shop here), frayed wide leg jeans, black suede booties, & a gold buckle wide belt. A blazer & jeans are two staple items that we all have in our wardrobe, which is why this look is so easy to recreate without breaking the bank.

To build this look, here are two essential pieces, which can also be mixed & matched with other items throughout the holiday season & during the year.

STARVNC sequin tank @Walmart & Thalia Sodi halter top @Macy’s (both available in sizes S – XXL)

faux suede ankle bootie @Forever 21 & Qupid Parma bootie @DSW

Show Me The Shoes: Spring’s Trendy Fringed Suede Sandals for Under $40!

It’s hard to think about spring when a change in season is still so far away, but it’s easy-peasy to think about spring fashion since there’s so much of it already out in stores & online to shop through. Specifically, fringe was a big trend from last summer in kimonos & even for fall-winter with luxe poncho sweaters & capes. It doesn’t look like fringe is going away for spring either, especially when it comes to footwear. Fringed suede sandals are the perfect way to mix up your spring look, when traveling in a maxi dress, elevating your LBD, or dressing up some menswear with a feminine touch. When you’re shopping on a budget, but still looking to upgrade your style, finding a fly pair of sandals is a must, which is why the colorful four pairs below are my top picks (& they’re under $40)!

Show Me The Shoes - Fringed Suede Sandals

SHOP: 1. Qupid sandals ($20.00, was $38.99) in red @Charlotte Russe, 2. Chase & Chloe sandals ($26.97, was $64.95) in black @Nordstrom Rack, 3. sandals ($39.90) in taupe @Forever 21, & Steve Madden sandals ($32.25, was $129.00) @Macy’s.

2013 Black Friday Style: Fabulous Ankle Booties For Under $50!

So maybe getting a pair of ankle booties for about $50 isn’t the biggest bargain you could score for Black Friday, but I’m smitten with so many new styles, which can be worn in so many different ways. I love the variety of textures like suede & leather, or details like studs, snake embossed finish, or a wedge heel. Ankle booties are the perfect footwear choice for transitioning from fall to winter, while staying on-trend.

Aldo - Koubova booties $34.99, H&M - boots $39.95, Forever 21 - Standout lace-up booties $34.80, & Piperlime - Qupid Prevail bootie $49.97.

My favorite picks include the following: Koubova bootie ($34.99) in taupe @Aldo, suede boots ($39.95) in black @H&M, Standout lace-up booties ($34.80) in tan @Forever 21, & Qupid Prevail bootie ($49.97 + 40% off using code GIFT) in garnet @Piperlime.
