SHOP NOW: Vibrant Summer Dresses for $7.99!

With over two months left of summer, you’d think that stores would be fully stocked with the latest designs & styles for any shopper still looking to update their wardrobe for the season or investing in a fresh vacation wardrobe… but now that 4th of July has passed, retailers are clearing out merchandise to make room for incoming fall fashion. This means that it’s time to check those clearance racks for special finds that are perfect for the still-thriving summer season, but also to store for next spring’s rotation.

New York & Company is probably one of my favorite places to buy work & weekend clothing, but now that there are no longer any stores to peruse through, making online purchases that are final sale should be done carefully. When buying anything online, a shopper should always read the reviews & the product details, like garment material & care, along with checking a size chart for limited size availability, but for items that cannot be returned, taking the time to do this, especially for a dress that looks good enough to add-to-cart, is crucial. As New York & Company’s website is promoting their latest Into the Wild summer collection, most, if not all, short, midi, & maxi dresses from earlier in the season are reduced to $7.99, including the following bold & stylish short frock redlines:

SHOP: 1. tie-neck puff-sleeve tiered dress in pretty lilac, 2. bow-waist eyelet shift dress in summer berry punch, 3. floral-print tie-waist dress in black, 4. magic crepe floral-print tie-neck flare dress in black, 5. premier stretch plaid cap-sleeve flare dress in bluebell, & 6. chambray cut-out dress in medium blue wash.

Additionally, I’m a big fan of midi & maxi dresses to ensure that a dress isn’t too short, loving the below picks:

SHOP: 1. floral-print puff-sleeve maxi dress in optic white, 2. colorblock off-the-shoulder poplin maxi dress in bouncing yellow, 3. floral-print tiered halterneck midi dress in grand sapphire, 4. linen-blend paisley midi dress in green opal, 5. geometric-print halterneck maxi dress in black & 6. gingham-print belted maxi dress in red.

If you’re a bargain shopper, like me, don’t forget to also check out New York & Company’s other redlines, including tops for $7.99, sweaters for $4.99, jeans for $7.99, shorts for $7.99, skirts for $7.99, pants for $7.99, outerwear for $7.99, & shoes for $7.99 to stock up on can’t-miss deals!

Top 10 Celeb Sightings: Ladies Love Black, Including Krysten Ritter, Scarlett Johansson, Ashley Greene, & More!

Now that the Golden Globes have been analyzed to death, we can look forward to the stars celebrating awards season in between shows (we’ve yet to see what’s going to happen on the red carpets from the SAG Awards & Oscars!). However, a big trend at the Globes was the color black & it seems it has returned to the red carpet & the celebrities are loving it! I’ve always been a fan of a classic LBD, but here we see all sorts of black making a major statement.  This includes my favorite looks from Krysten Ritter in a peek-a-boo dress & then Krysten Ritter again in a Dior jacket with a pencil skirt & Brian Atwood shoes.  Also, other favorites include Ashley Greene‘s leather peplum look, Scarlett Johansson‘s Dolce & Gabbana outfit with Irene Neuwirth earrings, & Miranda Kerr‘s continuously enviable street style, accessorized by Givenchy & Barbara Bui.

I’m also sharing looks by Anne Hathaway in a striped dress ensemble with a Stella McCartney faux leather bag, Elisabeth Moss‘ leather look with leopard pumps, Emmy Rossum in a sweet polka dot dress by Theia, Naomi Watts‘ appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in a Roland Mouret LBD with Rupert Sanderson sandals, & Renee Zellweger at a Hugo Boss event in Berlin in a halter dress with Christian Louboutin spiked pumps.
