Red Carpet Review: All the 90s Glamour & Style from the 2023 BET Awards, Including Ice Spice, Latto, & More!

Last night’s 2023 BET Awards honored Hollywood’s most accomplished & rising black film & television stars, in addition to music acts & more. The red carpet was a spectacle of naked dresses, 90s glam, & vintage inspiration. Some of my favorite looks from the red carpet include rapper Ice Spice in a lingerie-inspired look, along with Latto’s sultry look, South African artist Pabi Cooper’s mermaid silhouette, & DJ Uncle Waffles’ silver jeweled gown. Take a look at the slideshow & gallery below for the chic & bold highlights of the night!

Henson in a striking, silver Tom Ford design, Chloe Bailey stunning in a Nicholas Jebran swirly look, Cynthia Erivo turning heads in a multicolor Louis Vuitton ensemble, Janelle Monae‘s transparent Roberto Cavalli gown, Lena Waithe in a pastel Casablanca suit, Halle Bailey‘s plunging Monot dress, Paula Patton in a magenta mini, & Marsai Martin in a custom Dolce & Gabbana flapper-inspired dress.

Watch This Style: View The Full-Length Trailer For Beyoncé’s Documentary ‘Life Is But A Dream!’

Beyoncé

Beyoncé Knowles had a pretty spectacular year last year, but it seems that 2013 is shaping up to be an even bigger year for the star. Not only is she the featured halftime show for this year’s Super Bowl, she’s been named the sexiest woman of the century by GQ, is the face of Vogue‘s March 2013 issue, has recently announced a Destiny’s Child reunion, & will be sharing a very personal documentary with HBO called, Life Is But A Dream. I’m excited to share the trailer with readers, which is set to premiere on February 16th.

The second I saw Beyoncé in this gorgeous belted lemon Stephane Rolland gown, I knew I had to feature it.  She was by far the best dressed at this week’s BET Awards, stealing the spotlight from every other stylish celebrity that his the red carpet.  Of course, props should also go to Mariah Carey, Monica,  & Kerry Washington who range in classic glamour, sassy menswear-inspiration, & sexy separates.  Check out the gallery to see who wore what & share your comments if Beyoncé was also your favorite of the night!
