SHOP NOW!: Summer Peasant Blouse & Skirt Sets in XS-4X!

Matching sets are one of the major trends over the last year or so & they’re not going away this summer. Nor should they! When it comes to the ease of getting ready for a fun day or heading into the office, donning a matching set is a no-brainer, especially when they come in vibrant colors, sleek neutrals, or playful patterns. Additionally, a set can be broken up & worn with other wardrobe staples, such as a band t-shirt or solid tank, denim shorts or joggers, or a cuffed blazer or flyaway cardigan.

SHOP: Knox Rose elbow sleeve peasant blouse ($28.00) & Knox Rose mini tiered A-line skirt ($25.00) in 3 styles @Target (available in sizes XS-4X).

I love the skirt length on this set, in addition to the patterns. Specifically, I have my eye on the black & white since it would also look stylish when coordinated with magenta, yellow, or orange separates, along with espadrilles, slides, or sneakers. Which set do you like the best? How often do you wear a matching set? How often do you shop Target’s Knox Rose brand? Color Me Style: Now Is All About Navy, Featuring Blake Lively, Marchesa, & More!

Somewhere around the corner is spring, & while Pantone’s color of 2014 is orchid, I’ve been seeing so much navy everywhere. I love the idea of this regal neutral all over the runways for spring, breaking away from basic black to match with other bold hues.

Blake Lively, Rose Byrne, & Kate Mara.

A-list celebs have been embracing navy on the red carpet, including Blake Lively & Rose Byrne in head-to-toe Michael Kors looks straight from the runway. Also, House of Cards actress Kate Mara shows off her feminine & edgy side with the crop top trend in lace Dior separates & pointy toe pumps.

Derek Lam, Rebecca Minkoff, & Marchesa Fall 2014 Ready-To-Wear

Also, navy appeared on the runway during New York Fashion Week in all forms. Navy is perfect for casual wear, the office, & a night out, as seen on Derek Lam, Rebecca Minkoff, & Marchesa. There’s a decadence to the marvelous midnight color, which was shown with futuristic cut-outs, mod layered lines, & romantic drama.

To bring the red carpet & runway to your closet, I’ve found a few must-have pieces that will transition easily from winter-to-spring, including the belted button-front shirtdress ($40.00) from Dress Barn. To wear it now, in the midst of yet another wintry snow storm here in New York, coordinate this with tights, knee boots, & a chunky boyfriend sweater.

Dress @Dress Barn $40.00, Peasant Top @Forever 21 $22.80, Top @H&M $17.95, Pants @New York & Company $52.95.

Top off your favorite skinny jeans, pencil skirt, or tuxedo pants with the daydreamer peasant top ($22.80) from Forever 21 & H&M‘s lace top ($17.95). Lastly, get rid of those old, boring pants & trade them in for New York & Company‘s 7th Avenue bootcut pants ($52.95) in windowpane print. Mix up your look with a cashmere sweater, embroidered cardigan, or studded vest.
