Over the last few weeks, I’ve been readjusting to the work week grind as a new mother, which has been both easy & hard, but that experience is for another post for another day. However, I’ve had to reconsider certain cuts of tops, dresses, & bottoms for my changed post-baby shape. I’m more aware of loose-fitting, forgiving silhouettes as I go about my day in the office & classroom. During my regular online perusal of style inspiration, I discovered Fashion to Figure, a plus size clothing & accessories retailer (part of the New York & Company organization). Meet Noelle, a high-low scuba top in the most luxurious shade of green. It embodies everything I look for in a top & even has a bow on it! Not to mention that the color is everything right now. It’s a bright shade that will pop on any skin tone & embraces the season with the addition of a statement necklace or chandelier earrings. It’s perfect for pairing with leggings & knee boots, a pencil skirt & pointy toe heels, or skinny jeans & caged booties. This top has plenty of flair & femininity & I just can’t stop thinking about it. Check out (below) some stylish bottoms to shop from Fashion to Figure to build a holiday-ready outfit featuring this top.
While trying to figure out just what I should do with all those coupons that I received for my birthday last week, I couldn’t think of anything other than using them for the greater good of my wardrobe! Of course, I would’ve been more than happy to share them with friends, but since I had a few days off after starting my new job (yay!) I headed straight to the mall & local stores to treat myself to some super bargains & affordable style.
I must go to Old Navy at least once a month- that’s how often it seems that I get a coupon- & wasn’t entirely too successful in the clearance section. I wandered around the store to find these perfect-cord pencil skirts ($17.50) which were marked down from their original $29.94 price. In addition, my coupon & discount code for an extra 20% off (code: ONBIG20, which expires 9/16) made the price even less. I choose the jute green color since I know how beautifully it will pair against my black & gray staples for building an office look. However, I did love the rich deep space blue, warm creme caramel, feminine raspberry punch, & trendy candied lemon hues to think about matching with printed blouses, argyle cardigans, & suede ankle booties.
Keep in mind that prices & sales online don’t always match store prices, but I lucked out with the cheaper store price. I can’t wait to break out my fall shoes & some textured tights & head to work in this stylish pencil skirt that will last me until next spring! Which color do you like the best? Happy Styling!
So it’s St. Patrick’s Day & some may say it’s a little silly to wear green, but here are just a few of my favorite green items (from cosmetics to clothing to accessories) that will pop as you head out for happy hour or a late night pub crawl to responsibly celebrate the night!
These affordable wedges will last you until next fall, especially when worn with a maxi dress, sundress, or your favorite cropped pant. From Charlotte Russe, this knit scarf will layer perfectly over a button-down & tee. A soft touch of color in your jewelry can help bring your natural glow & these earrings would do the trick, especially with a soft complexion & neutral lips by Ulta brand products. For one last fun addition to our green selections, let your fingers grab some attention with this lime polish & perhaps even a cocktail ring like the cherry on top. Have a safe & Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Happy Styling!
