Holiday Shopping Head Start!

‘Tis the season to be gifting! Thanksgiving is next week, which means that it’s time to make that gift-giving list (if you choose to do so). There are so many useful, cute, & affordable gift options out right now to fill your most fashionable friends with style & joy this season. Personally, I don’t buy gifts just for the sake of buying meaningless stuff to give to  anyone. I like to pick special pieces that will really please a recipient & serve a function—even if that function is indulgence & luxury.

When compiling your shopping list, consider if an item is something that they’ll actually use, that it’s not just a filler gift. Also, jot down their interests by their name on your list so that if you can look out for something particularly perfect for a friend or loved one. Lastly, I’ll often discuss with people close to me if they want to exchange gifts (& if so, establish a spending limit) or if they’d prefer to go out for dinner instead. Sometimes arranging a night with a group of friends with dinner & drinks is the best way to go. However, listing, shopping, wrapping, & giving are my favorite ways to put me in the holiday spirit.

All of the below ideas are not just stylish, but they’re all under $15.

I love discovering accessories as gifts because they add just a little bit more sparkle, which I know I’m always seeking for myself. What kinds of gifts are you shopping for this season? Where do you shop for the best deals this holiday? Happy Styling!

Holiday Gift Styles: Get A Head Start With Tweezerman Tools!

Yes, it has begun.  I actually have purchased a total of 4 items for 2 people this holiday season.  While trying to be thrifty, yet thoughtful, I’ve found some great gifts.  Sometimes I find really fabulous pieces for an irresistible price that aren’t my style, but would be perfect for a friend.  Here’s where we bring some affordable holiday finds into play.  My advice:  if you’re on a budget, but still want to exchange gifts with someone, talk about setting a spending limit.  If they’re in the same boat, but too afraid to bring it up, they’ll appreciate the consideration.  For girl friends, if you can’t decide what to get, pick a theme & spread it out in different ways to compliment their styles, especially if you’re thinking of accessories.  Sometimes it’s the thrill of the hunt that makes the gift giving all the more fabulous.

I’m currently inspired by the slow, but steady reorganization of my essential cosmetic tools like tweezers, brushes, sponges, & mini mirrors.  For someone who takes the extra twenty minutes of time in the morning to do their makeup before going to work or out to brunch, I’m constantly replacing items like those previously mentioned.  There’s no time like the present to get rid of overused tools so you can start the new year with a fresh face.

My newest favorite brand is Tweezerman.  I recently won a pair of seemingly high-tech tweezers through a contest from InStyle magazine that I randomly entered, not suspecting that I’d ever win, but I’m very pleased & surprised with the results of using the tweezers.  I’d relied on a Revlon brand, very inexpensive tweezer for a long time that just doesn’t even compare to the Tweezerman product.

Anyway, here are a few investment picks that will go a long way with Style Darlings as they prepare for holiday parties & family gatherings, all from Tweezerman.  Any questions, comments, or suggestions are always welcome.  Happy Holidays & Happy Styling!
