SHOP NOW: A Flyaway Blazer Cardigan in 20 Colors!

When I look at topper items, like cardigans & blazers, I often expect to wear it for more than just the fall/winter season, always hoping to get the most bang for my buck. Of course, there are some exceptions for summer items or really heavy knits that work for those especially chilly days. When I want to mix things up, look professional, & cover up a bit, I like a “flyaway” cardigan or blazer to complete my look & highlight a not-so-obvious color in a printed top or dress. For example:

SHOP: EIMIN 3/4 sleeve blazer open front office work cardigan jacket in 20 different colors @Amazon ($22.99-$26.99, available in sizes XS-3XL).

I ordered the black & white options as neutral toppers for a variety of looks, very please with the lightweight, textured fabric, & fit. How would style this cardigan/blazer? Which color do you like the best? What’s your go-to business casual look? 2/26/11 Darling of the Day: Malin Akerman’s Rock of Ages Red Carpet Look!

Swedish-born actress & current star of the biopic Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Biopic, Malin Akerman stepped out in Los Angeles recently for the premiere of Rock of Ages, looking simply chic.  This image of the beautiful blonde in a flyaway cardigan & leather skinny pants comes courtesy of In Style‘s Look of the Day.  These very basic pieces in neutral colors can be put together in an elegant way.  Leather skinnies are the new dark denim.  If worn with just the tank, Malin would be showing off some rocker edge, but the softness of the cardigan brings some feminine flair.  What’s even more fabulous is that these items total under $100!  This would be a perfect look for a date night or even as the actress is wearing it, for a night out on the town.

Check out some of my favorite of Malin’s looks, like in J. Mendel at the People’s Choice Awards, in Dolce & Gabbana at an Emmy after party, in Beverly Hills wearing Monique Lhuillier, & in a J.Crew bustier dress at the Going the Distance premiere.
