Cover Craze: Six Fabulous Mags Featuring The Faces Of Emma Watson, Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, & More!

I couldn’t decide which October 2012 issue to feature in my next Cover Craze post, so I searched the web for a bunch of covers, which helps cover a lot of bases. Anyway, I’ve just about finished filing through the heaps of pages from the ripe September issues & can now start sorting through what October has to bring, especially considering the fact that we’re nearing the official start of fall this weekend! I’ve selected only 6 October issues so far b/c this is what I’ve received in the mail & I’m still super anxious to see what’s going on with In Style, Shape, Harper’s Bazaar, & Allure.

Be sure to check out Nashville star Hayden Panettiere on the cover of Women’s Health, where she talks about how she’s dealt with the rise to fame from child star to leading lady.  Also, get your girl friends together for a gossip session when you’re looking at the very umm… informative issue of Cosmopolitan with New Girl actress Zooey Deschanel on the cover, looking all sorts of adorkable, as always. I’m loving Emma Watson‘s grown out pixie cut right now & that she’s taking some very youthful, but elegant fashion risks in her article for Glamour.  Did anyone see her on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon promoting her new movie, Perks of Being a Wallflower? Adorbs!

For the season fashion mag reader, Keira Knightley continues her reign as period drama princess while talking about her latest film, Anna Karenina, as the role of a lifetime for VogueGwen Stefani proves that she’s still got it for Marie Claire, baring her abs (two babies later!) while No Doubt preps for their long-awaited comeback. Check out the music video for their latest single “Settle Down” here! Lastly, Britney Spears puts her pout to good use with the help of some stylists for Elle, showing off a combination of some pop / rock star style & talks about her latest gig as a judge on X-Factor alongside British grump, Simon Cowell.  Which magazine cover is your favorite? Who do you turn to for the best advice on fall fashion? Happy Styling!

Magazine Must-Haves: Cosmopolitan, Kim Kardashian, & Cute Fall Finds! What More Can You Ask For?

This month’s issue of Cosmopolitan is full of excellent relationship advice, fun dating tips, & the star of Keeping up With the Kardashians, Kim Kardashian.  The newly engaged reality queen poses on the cover in a top by Alternative Apparel & dishes on how she balances her personal life & career.

While you’re flipping through the pages, be sure to check out the best fall fashion finds recommended by editors.  These items include basic casual tops like the yellow & white stripe tank from Roxy & a colorblock baseball tee from American Eagle Outfitters, both for under $40.  Fall just isn’t complete without a pair of jeans like the Dreamer bootcut jeans from Old Navy were just marked down from $34.50 to $29.50!

For dressier occasions, take a look at the nude ‘Boulerice’ patent pumps from Aldo, which has also been reduced in price, from $75.00 to $37.49!  While we’re talking shoes, check out some classic round toe ‘Calie’ pumps by Jessica Simpson Collection, which are also available on Zappos & Endless for $79.00.  These pumps are basics for any Style Darling- which is why I’ve already written a whole blog about it in Basics for a Bargain.  Also, from American Apparel, this flat edge leather belt in medium brown costs $34.00, but would pair well with a plaid button down & some cut-off shorts for now, or over a sweater dress for next season. Lastly, you can find the Marc Fisher overachiever flap satchel @Macy’s in lemon, orange, & black on sale for $53.99, originally $78.00.

Magazine Must-Haves: Spring Shoes from Nine West in Cosmo!

While I was flipping through my new issue of Cosmo, with the supposedly controversial March 2011 cover girl Lea Michele of Glee, I was happy to giggle & blush & gain insight to all things having to do with.. well, you know what they publish in the mag.  BUT I was so excited, above all, to find on page 72 something bright for the spring.

While the weather here on Long Island is slowly but surely creeping up to warmer temperatures, there’s no way I’m going anywhere in sandals since I’m still all about my boots.  If you’re looking to treat yourself to something flirty & feminine for the upcoming season, the magazine features these ‘Nicefit’ peep toes from Nine West for $89.00.  While that’s a little out of my budget, there’s never any reason why one shouldn’t be checking out Nine West’s amazing selection of styles & while you’re there, check out their sale items which are up to 70% off.

This sandal would be perfect for to mix with a paisley dress or a denim mini with a blazer.  If you’re seeking more brights for the spring, check out In Style & Marie Claire
