Super Style Wishlist: Christian Louboutin’s Latest Instagram Shots!

The luxury footwear designer, Christian Louboutin, has been invading Instagram & their Facebook with shot sof their classic & newest shoes.  Of course these designs cost more than 6-months of car insurance, but they’re always fabulous to fantasize about! I just wanted to share these darling designs with readers, encouraging them to turn to brand name designers on Facebook to get all the latest about their collections… Or just ‘like’ Style Darling & follow me on Twitter under “MissAlissaL.”

To shop Christian Louboutin, check out Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, & Barneys.  Also, if you’re looking to read more posts from Super Style Wishlist, I recommend party looks form Polyvore, Dolce & Gabbana’s Fall / Winter 2013 collection, & the latest glittery pumps from Jimmy Choo! Happy Styling!

3/23/12 Darling Of The Day: Elizabeth Banks Colorblocks In A.L.C.!

During a recent appearance on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, The Hunger Games actress Elizabeth Banks showed off one of this season’s biggest trends, which is colorblocking! She wore this beautiful royal blue & black A.L.C. Zenya dress ($893.00), which is available @Barneys. Of course this price tag is way out of budget, but we can appreciate the soft pleats & feminine deep-v. Elizabeth paired the dress with basic, but classic black round toe pumps, similar to those seen here, but you don’t have to have a stylist or a movie star to have access to this kind of style.

I searched high & low to find similar dresses at affordable prices, including the colorblock mod dress ($19.80) from Forever 21, Arctic Circle Black & Blue Dress ($51.00) from Lulu’s, & Honor Gold colorblock dress ($34.02) from ASOS. Lots of celebrities have been wearing colorblocking, but when you take these two colors & put them together, it creates a whole new regal, refined, & fashion forward look.

I haven’t posted in Darling of the Day in quite a while, but I’m always happy to share some of my favorite celebrity looks, which is also what I do for my other blog @Ladies Outfitters. Do you like the colorblocking trend? Which of these three less expensive suggestions is more your style? Happy Styling!

Super Style Wishlist: All I Want For Christmas Is.. Bottega Veneta Shoes!

I guess a little catalogue stealing never hurt anyone, did it?  Well, certainly not in this case! In what was just another day at the office, my always reliable Style Darling building-mate, Laurie, brought to my attention the most darling of footwear confections that I’d seen in a long time- well.  At least since I saw the 15th Anniversary Jimmy Choo Collection anyway!

Laurie (who knows my very Charlotte York-inspired style) spied these plaster canapa wool shoes ($820.00) by the brilliant Bottega Veneta & I haven’t been able to get them out of my head!  I’ve never wanted to wear white tights so badly in the fall, maybe with a Chanel dress with accessories by Lanvin! Like I always say, a Style Darling can dream, can’t she?

Maybe Santa will read my blog & bring them for me? I wouldn’t have to get any more clothes or shoes (well, not until spring) if these beautiful, Swarovski-encrusted luxury heels were nestled in my stocking on the mantle this year! Haven’t I been through enough to deserve them?

Perhaps in my search high & low, I will be able to find affordable look-alikes that will make my heart swoon in (almost) the same way.  If you’re looking to check out more from Bottega Veneta, check out sites like Net-A-Porter, Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, & Neiman Marcus!

Anyway, what’s on your Super Style Wishlist this year?  Which designer collections are you looking out for? Happy Styling!

Luxury Look-Alikes For Less: Super Strappy Black Gladiator Sandals from Barneys Vs. Mandee!

If you’re looking for some super sexy strappy black gladiator sandals for a cocktail dress or your favorite little black dress, then check these out!  However, I was soooo enchanted by a pair from Barney’s, but couldn’t get past the $675.00 price tag.  Naturally this is b/c the brand of the ‘Zaira’ is Loeffler Randall, which is also available @Zappos, Neiman Marcus, Singer 22, & Nordstrom.

However, as a Style Darling on a budget, check out Mandee for these four-inch strappy cone heel sandals.  They only cost $15.00 & while the two pairs of sandals are not identical, they’re pretty close in concept.  Think about how much you buy for $675 & why in the world would you want to spend that much on one pair of shoes (unless of course money was not an issue)?

When I look for shoes, it’s all about getting the most for my money.  As a regular on the Mandee website & in their stores, I’ve found their shoe selection very reliable in comfort & style.  Not to mention all the discount rewards you can earn just for having the store’s credit card! Check out previous Luxury Look-Alikes for Less posts for more great affordable & stylish finds! Happy Styling!
