I was super excited when I read my email this morning & discovered that Tony-winning actress Scarlett Johansson was returning to Broadway next year. She’s headlining a revival of Tennessee Williams’ iconic drama, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, which had been famously brought to the big screen with legends Elizabeth Taylor & Paul Newman. Previews for the play begin December 18th & it will open for the public on January 17th, which means that tickets will go quick for this 15-week limited-time run.
A few years ago, I saw Scarlett make her Broadway debut in Arthur Miller’s A View From The Bridge, which took my breath away, thus leading to her Tony win, so you can be sure that I’m going to do everything in my power to get a ticker (& an affordable one) to catch one of my favorite plays of all time, starring one of my favorite actresses!
You may be asking, where’s the style in all of this? Well, for those of you who don’t know, the play’s protagonist, Maggie the Cat, is famous for wearing a seductive slip dress for most of the play & we can keep an eye out on Scarlett’s red carpet appearances while promoting her latest dramatic effort. Happy Styling!
