I remember on an episode of Gossip Girl, Leighton Meester’s character, Blair Waldorf, said something about loving Barneys New York, & why wouldn’t she? Of course here, you can score big on designers like Proenza Schouler, Helmut Lang, & Bottega Veneta. Be warned that you’ll also be spending big on these fabulous high-end designer creations. However, I love turning to luxury stores like this one to find out what’s going on for next season & all eyes are on the knees… knee-length skirts that is. Whether you love pencil skirts, a-lines, peplum skirts, or bubbles, there’s something available @Barneys for everyone. However, while searching through their collection of skirts, I’ve found these four which have my head spinning.
I’d love to style the Prabal Gurung lace pencil skirt ($895.00) with a feminine blouse, sequined tank, or crisp white button-down skirt. As for the Lanvin tipped pencil skirt ($549.00, marked down from the original $2,215.00 price), I love the black & white mod design of it & its side slit, but this can be matched with a belted red cardigan or sleeveless silk top & some beads. The Balenciaga pencil skirt ($1,495.00) is a leather dream come true, sure to emphasize your curves, especially when paired with masculine pieces like something in argyle or a bold-shouldered blazer. Because there’s no such thing as too much lace, I also found this Lanvin lace pencil skirt ($2,210.00), which is a perfectly feminine pick for any Style Darling who likes bows, flowers, or beadwork details to make a look all the more ladylike!
